@@Aetos23 I think he is highly underrated and doesn’t get enough credit….again different opinions but like I said his record is undeniable and there for all to see
Rooney’s first seasons (yes past that he was still amazing), were just something else. It was all eyes on him. He was tearing through defenses. He was fast, strong, and he would play great defense as well. Always wanted the ball. He immediately adapted to the premier league. It took Ronaldo a few seasons to get his goals, he missed a lot of chances. But rooney, hit the ground running.
While discussing the perfection in partnerships upfront for Henry & Bergkamp, why doesn't the perfection in a partnership gets mentioned for Rio & Vida in defence?
I'm a Liverpool fan so I have plenty of reasons to hate Wayne Rooney but he is criminally underrated. Prime Rooney was arguably the best striker in the world and there's only two maybe three Premier League strikers in history that should get in any team ahead of him.
Bergkamp was sublime and had better seasons than 03/04. Loved him. But... Rooney at that time was a beast and pairing with Henry, scary and with Ronaldo and Freddie on the wings as well. Very, very scary.

That is purely because Rory the so called impartial guy in the middle is a Chelsea fan so 2 out of 3 have a connection to him. Evra completely dominated the PL in the exact SAME period he was playing in the PL for ManUtd that Cashley was for Chelski (2006/07 to 2013/14) and he beat Cole in a Champions league final in that period and clearly played better in that final than Cole who was beaten in a foot race by Cristiano who had about 20 meters to make up on Cole. The identical times they played for their respective big title challenging teams is how it's so easy to see who's better🤦♂️ and Cole spent 14 years in PL playing for title challenging teams but still a couple less PL titles than Evra got in only 8 years. (And of course both moved to Seria A the following year and again Evra the more successful, Cole didn't even win anything in USA with LA galaxy). They're both literally the same age as well. No excuses to not be able to compare them and see Evra was better. And not to mention international football. Who got to a major final and who didn't even get to a semi-final? Evra even got to CL final with Monaco same year Cole couldn't even get to semi-final with so called invincibles. Cole won ONE PL title in EIGHT years at Chel$ki and that was because they got a million decisions all season and had to cheat home&away vs ManUtd to scrape above them by 1 point. He should literally have won none in 8 years. Evra should have 7 in 8 but still won 5 easily and was 1of the key players obviously. Phil Neville made more contributions to PL league winning teams than Cashley did. Absolute fact you can easily back up. Delusional Chelski & Arsenal fans. Then again they're the 2 teams who get the most decisions yet cry the most when they feel robbed.

Its debatable, its not deluded lmao, don't call it something you don't know the meaning of haha. It was based on that one season, and bergkamp and Henry as a duo was >

What a disgrace leaving Rooney out. If they are as you say 'perfection', then they should've won everything there is to win and break every record there is to break. Another argument would be that you say the combination is perfection and that you can't improve on perfection, but empirically you've never seen an Henry-Rooney combination have you. Not to mention that Rooney at that time was an aggressive beast that would work his arse off. Henry would probably score more goals with Rooney as his strike partner tbh
Bergkamp was a fabulous player but he's slightly overrated here. I couldn't pick him over Cantona. Cantona was winning leagues in that position, with Leeds AND Man United. Tremendous player. Rooney in his own way was even better IMO. 3 fantastic players though, no doubt!

I’m a Man City fan, and an enormous fan of Bergkamp too, he made me fall in love with the game. However, even I didn’t feel comfortable not having Rooney in that team, it goes against all my heart says, but Wayne Rooney was probably the most complete forward the premier league has seen. I’d argue Rooney with the likes of Shearer, Aguero and Henry. As much love as I have for Bergkamp, I don’t see him in the same debate.

@@JBM1428 Was it really? Winning the CL and the PL in the same season is way more impressive than going unbeaten in the PL. Remember, Arsenal only went unbeaten in the PL, it's not like they won anything else. You're fighting elite teams on both fronts. Arsenal were never good enough to win the CL. That's a pretty big blow to your cause. Also, what did those invincibles achieve after that season? Aside from the FA cup and a choke in the champions league final, I would say they accomplished fuck all. Let's take a look at things from an objective standpoint. Ashley Cole gets in to the team, I don't regard Cole as a top 10 LB ever (he's quite overrated actually) but I rate him slightly ahead of Evra. CB pairings are just that; It's a relationship. The Ferdinand and Vidic combination was the main reason Utd's record in Europe was very good (2 runner ups to the best team ever in Barca, and a win and a sf loss against a great AC Milan team) from 2006-2011 was because of this relationship. That team on paper had no business making the final in 2011, and on paper were heavily outmatched in the final, yet still competed. Utd won a lot of 1-0's on this period and could rely on this because the defence was so good. Aside from one unbeaten season in the PL, Arsenal's CB pairing VDS in goal. Lehman is a donk. Right back, This could be a toss up. I'll go with Brown due to the fact he actually impacted the CL final. He might not have been as good as people thought, but he was normally always available. Anyone who thinks Ljunberg was better than Nani is quite simply an idiot. Nani was inconsistent as fuck, but had the highest highs I have ever seen in a Man Utd player - this includes Cantona, Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes, Veron, anyone anyone anyone. In terms of peak level, I think Nani at his best trumps any other premier league player at their best. Some of his goals are just ridiculous. Like Messi level ridiculous. Scholes and Carrick in the midfield. Just remember this invincibles team didn't even beat Utd in their unbeaten run; They drew 0-0 and 1-1. They did it in a time where chelsea and man city were not even threats, and the Utd team needed changes, and Liverpool were average. That invincible team are so overrated that Henry left them to go to the team that beat them, as he knew that team could not win the CL. Vieira and Gilberto? Are these people on crack cocaine? Put Vieira and Gilberto in the midfield against Carrick and Scholes and the later can pass through them all day; You are talking about the best 2 passers in premier league history (alongside KDB and Silva. I do think Sancho could be in this list when his PL career ends). Ronaldo scored 42 goals in that UCL/PL winning season. That's basically more than Henry has ever had in a single season at Arsenal. The most goals in a season Pires ever got was 19 and 17. So Ronaldo's goal contributions in his best season is still better than if you combine Pires' best two seasons. Henry gets in. Quality player. Rooney also gets in. Rooney and Henry would be the best front 2 in PL history ever if they joined forces. Both players are very strong, can scrap when needed, although I think Rooney was more prepared to win ugly. Both players can play football and finish. I don't think anyone really would disagree with this. Out of the bunch, Henry was the best, with Rooney being the obvious 2nd choice. Once Henry left arsenal after bottling the 06 final (it was a bottle job by Arsenal as a whole, that Barca team was there for the taking), Arsenal's house of cards fell apart. Utd lost Ronaldo and Tevez and were still a force in the PL and UCL. The only reason they aren't a force now is because their biggest loss was SAF.

These teams are the best 5 teams in the history of football. The biggest institutions. Winning the champions league is all what some of these teams like Real Madrid think of. If Howson or McKola had been on this, we'd be looking at 11 United counters on that board 😂 In all seriousness, 03/04 Bergkamp over 07/08 Rooney is a crime. And retaining the Premier League title for the second year in a row, on top of winning the Champions League, is a better achievement than going a season unbeaten (a third of their games ending in draws btw).

Thing is back then, Wenger used to focus a lot on the league and would rest* our big players for European games. Used to drive Arsenal fans mad. Champions League has always been huge but it wasn't what it is now back from when it was rebranded till about 2004, ironically. With a much weaker squad when we focused on Europe, we made the final in 2006, which we should have won. Add to that what Tris 87 Don said. After the invincible season, Bergkamp was slowing down and wasn't getting as much minutes due to his age, so they only really had 3 good seasons together with both of them at the top of their game. One at the start of his prime, and the other approaching the twilight of his career. That united team was very good man. We're talking about a team that had it's core players for a long time and won 3 on the spin just before our 3 year spell of arguably being the best team in England.
Aside from one unbeaten season in the PL, Arsenal's CB pairing
VDS in goal.

How Pires v Ronaldo was even a debate cmon man 😂
Come on Tate, you're letting Robbie walk all over Rooney like that 😂
How the hell can the combined 11 have 7/8 Arsenal players when they only won 1 trophy and underperformed in every other competition, especially in Europe?
The only way that possible is if they had a mediocre coach, and I don't think Wenger was mediocre. Make it make sense lol
Maybe cause they were unbeaten that season
@@gunnerglory And? They still won 1 trophy and were mid in every other competition
United at least won 3 trophies that year, they were the more successful team.
If Arsenal were that good, had such a great manager how the hell did they flop so hard in every other competition?
@@De3dSh0t they got to the semi finals of both league cup and fa cup, and got to the CL quarters, a flop by that teams standard? maybe but let's not exaggerate. Rooney over Bergkamp that season and you could argue about Campbell and Ferdinand, Vidic must be there
@@Babasulsuprem fam they were the absolute best team on the planet that year, only Milan was on their level at the time. Best team in England but only won 1 out of the 4 trophies? They didn't even get to a cup final lol, and didn't get to the last 4 of the UCL.
For me the 11 would be:

Lauren - Vidic - Rio - Cole
Rooney - Vieira - Scholes - Ronaldo
Bergkamp - Henry
@@De3dSh0t Their invincibles lost to Chelsea in the UCL over 2 legs & Man Utd in the Fa cup. The invincible is a fraud. There was no 'top 4' 'top 6' then.
How did Robbie talk WAYNE FRICKING ROONEY out of the team
As an arsenal fan i love henry, i love bergkamp, but after henry…rooney was my guy…most people who don’t even support united love rooney, he was literally the peoples player..this whole team is void just because rooney isn’t in it
VDS
Neville - Vidic - Ferdinand - Cole
Cristiano Ronaldo - Vieira - Scholes - Pires
Rooney - Henry
4-4-2: 7 United players, 4 Arsenal players.
Rooney not making this team is absolutely pathetic, I'd have also gone Nani over Park if I was Andy (not saying he'd get in over Ljungberg but he'd have more of a case). I'd argue Vidic over Cambell too, one thing's for sure; no way should it be 7-4 either way.
vidic was not better than Sol mate
Even debating that Pires is in the same conversation as Pires once again shows that anybody can run a football youtube channel! Pires was amazing but Ronaldo is on another planet!
Even debating evra over Cole 🤣🤣
Also Rooney should be over Bergkamp
@@only2genders546 Evra was in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year: 2006-07, 2008-09, 09-10 3 years straight at his peak... also rated as the best leftback in the world by Fifa in 2009 so yeah he was better than a young Ashley Cole at Arsenal.

Cristiano Ronaldo in 2007/08 was the top goal scorer in the Premier League and Champions League, won the League and UCL, won the premier league player of the year, won the Balon'dor and the world player of the year.
At this rate, Robbie is going to be on every TV channel, TH-cam channel and radio channel. Can’t wait to see him in Stranger Things. 😂

Rory's got to be firmer there. Bergkamp was a great player but Rooney is one of the great players. No comparison

CB - Nemanja Vidic

How can it be Gary Neville when he didn't play a single game that season. In 07/08 he started 0 games in that season. Lauren was better in that season by default.
This.
So the partnership logic is used to get Bergkamp in, but a centre back partnership doesn't see vidic get in ? 🤦♀️
The moment that AFTV guy argued Pires over Ronaldo I was done
I'm an Arsenal fan, but ngl I would have Vidic over Sol Campbell. Don't get me wrong I like Sol Campbell and he was a great CB, but I have to give it to Vidic, he was a warrior in that defense.
Jesus Christ man, you're arguing Vidic over Sol Campbell when these f**king imbeciles have put Rio f**king Ferdinand in the team????

Question. How do you choose a CB pairing that lost 5 games in the 07/08 season over the CB pairing that lost 0 games in the 03/04 season?
@@eldotjay answer is in the stats. Arsenal actually conceded more their invincible season than Man United ‘08. On top of that Arsenal were only 3 points ahead of United was in those respective seasons but Arsenal fans always make it sound like a blowout
@@mpah4424 22 goals conceded vs 26. Arsenal finished on 90 and United finished on 87. United loosing 5 games and Arsenal loosing 0. Stats would show to Campbell and Toure being a better defensive partnership despite conceding 4 more goals. Because it never cost the team a loss. The team also finished with more points.
@@eldotjay Arsenal having zero losses doesn’t completely correlate to Toure and Campbell being better defenders because it’s a team sport. The idea of this segment was to see the players individually it wouldn’t be just to say “because Arsenal hasn’t lost a game they are better players etc” if that was the case then there shouldn’t be a Man United player in the 11 especially that GK spot which went to Van Der Sar
@@mpah4424 that is a fair comment. I’m which case no one should really be up in arms about Campbell being in over Vidic. A lot of football fans rate Campbell more than Vidic, including Andy Tate as birthed out in this video.
That was absolutely rigged against Tate Rory made a fool of himself that video
People saying Rooney over Bergkamp 😭😭 if Rooney was Dutch we wouldn’t even be having this debate
Rooney 2nd all time in premier league for goals 3rd all time in assists in the premier league 👌

Stopped watching when Bergkamp was picked over Rooney
even as a Liverpool fan this was a hard watch, the disrespect on United players is ridiculous like be fr now, Bergkamp over Rooney is bullshit especially Bergkamp in that season, both Vidic and RIo are in the top 5 best premier league centre backs ever (which Sol Campbell isn't if we're being honest) and Neville should probably be on the right as well even though that one is debatable and the fact that this man Robbie even tried to argue Pires>Ronaldo is hilarious🤣
this is how i'd go: Van Der Saar, Vidic, Rio, Cole, Neville, Ronaldo, Vieira, Scholes, Ljungberg, Rooney, Henry
true lol , arsenal fan is too bias. That's why they don't win the league or european thropy.Too delusional.
Andy gave up on Rooney too easily, he should have been in over Bergkamp, no disrespect to him either, he was an incredible player, but Rooney was different class, gave everything in every game and is everything you would want in a team mate
Was there any point in debating between Ronaldo and Pires though? One of the best winger in the league vs the best player in the world…
I agree with it as a United fan but Vidic for Sol and Rooney for Dennis. Bergkamp got 5 goals that season. Rooney got 18. Even Teves 07/08 would get in ahead of him who got 19 that season.
Vidic is not better than Sol
How do you expect me to take this seriously when you can't let Rooney in this team
I love Andy what a legend! Great content guys! Also props to the Don and Rory
Bergkamp over Rooney?
Rooney has more goals and more assists and more trophies and more individual honours and more records than Bergkamp.
Rooney is criminally underrated and it's a joke. Rooney is miles ahead of Bergkamp.
@Arsenal 4 Life @Arsenal 4 Life Rooney at 16 was playing in the PL, he was in the PL for 18 years until 34? Where was Bergkamp at 18, nevermind 16?
As for Bergkamp made others better and Rooney played in great teams? What?? Rooney had his best seasons in 09 - 12 and they were known as the worst united sides for 25 years at the time lol (until now) His strike partner was welbeck and chicharito in his best seasons.
Bergkamp ain't close.
I think wayne and henry as front two would be a nightmare. Its match made in heaven. I love Bergkamp too but rooney prime and henry prime is just fire. Sometimes leave club loyalty and think from team building. Both of them could pass dribble shoot and compliment any player they played with. Both of them made others look good. And defended as well. And plus their winning mentality was out of this planet.
If you put them together in their prime and placed them into the PL right now they'd absolutely destroy teams - especially now you can't get kicked around like they used to put up with back in the day.
Rooney & Henry 🔥🔥 Deadly duo.
Even if you put Robbie with a Barca or Madrid fan to make an all time 11 he’d somehow try to make it mostly Arsenal players
“idk mate Zidane, Messi, CR7 and R9 sounds good but what about Alexis Sanchez and Giroud?” Lol
Bergkamp over Rooney is shocking. Expected Rory to step in there
No idea how Neville got in as he was out for nearly the whole season while Wes Brown played nearly every game that season and got the assist in a CL final. Also Rooney 07-08 was incredible for the team. Also Evra at that time was like having 2 players on the pitch. Somehow he was attacking and defending non-stop every game.
Also did Robbie really try to say Pires over Ronaldo who had his best season at Man Utd that season?
Carrick has to be in there with Scholes and Hargreaves. Those 3 were unreal that season.
Neville didn't get in
Honestly, why the F is Andy Tate representing MUFC the fact he had Zero fight for Rooney is a disgrace!
Robbie along with all arsenal fans are deluded Rooney gets in hands down and Vidic Ferdinand all day no discussion about it…..
Ronaldo 07/08 was the best version I seen of any player In my life an rooney and vidic are a must on that season
Sol that season was better than vidic
I hope Arsenal play shit from midseason just to see the black guy get absolutely crushed.
Robbie used the chemistry card when he wanted to snub my man Rooney but then forgot it when it was time to put Rio and Vidic in there, best partnership of PL
Robbie, Robbie, Robbie… Rooney gets in that team over Bergkamp every day of the week.
Bergkamp could partner anybody you threw him in with.
Rooney-rvn, Ronaldo, berbatov,rvp, Ibrahimovic.
Bergkamp was put in over Roonie because of "combinations" wtf? Also DEBATING about Ronaldo and Pires?? Even as an Arsenal fan you should say "Pires was a great players BUT Ronaldo was Ballon D'or winner", end of conversation. You should advise the people coming on to be unbias in the discussion, like there is no point having two uber bias people cause they won't agree to anything.
