I'm glad you found them beside our beloved Queen Morissette, the Philippines have so many artists at international superstar level. This was the first impression I had on Jaya, and I fell in love with her instantly. Jaya is the soul of Pinoy female singers. KZ is the Queen of Entertainment, I never have seen any artist doing so well in that range of artistry; she can dance and rap, sing and play with the audience. They both are authentic and profound musicians - world class and highly inspiring.
They were amazing. The harmonization was accurate and tight, excellent. Love the bluesy/gospel vibe it has. Jaya hit some low register runs that got my attention. KZ's scat singing was flawless. Interestingly,Feeling Good was originally written for Broadway. It was sung in a 1965 musical called The Roar of the Greasepaint-The Smell of the Crowd (or just Roar) by two Brits, Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley. The two men also did the musical Stop the World-I Wanna Get Off. These guys should've given shorter titles for the two musicals. My goodness 🙄
