The voltage graph of the album cover is a socalled amplitude modulated signal, which is usually called an AM signal in electrical engineering, which is also a quite a nice little sidefact
Thanks for making this. One of my favorite albums of all time, and every time people talk about it I remember being in 6th grade waiting to listen for the first time with my best friend.
Amazing video! 🎉 I remember going to buy AM when it first came out and it’s still one my favourites of all time. No idea it was almost called something else but I’m glad they went with AM, it’s iconic !
Yeah there's a few interesting facts I found out when I did the research for this video - for one I had no idea Pete Thomas played drums/percussion on the album! Glad you enjoyed the vid!
There are pics online of the house they rented because at the time it was in the news because of a story written about how they apparently ‘trashed it’ which turned out to be fake news
Man I love youre Arctic Monkeys Videos!! I hope someday there is like a full documentary with the members and producers of the Arctic Monkeys cause this album is like the "nevermind" or "dark side of the moon" of our generation, it's a classic one! .. you did a great work with this video:)
@@BLUEGRASSCIRCUS thanks so much means the world 🙏🏾 yeah I hope so too - the band always have someone with them filming / taking photos and not everything is released to the public so I’d put money on there being footage of them making AM. Just hope someday they share it with us!
Great video. And AM is such an iconic and excellent record, but claiming that AM is ‘widely considered their best album’ is ridiculous. Whatever People Say I Am is blatantly considered their best album.
Hahaha, well, many OG fans would say it’s WPSIITWIN, but commercially it’s AM all the way - most successful album they’ve made to date in terms of sales / widespread appeal etc.

I can see the crossover with 3min with Marc. Great video!! Also how did you find their house 😅
Yeah I used one of his clips because he explained the concept so well (don’t worry I credited him in the section!)
