Well i live in the area so i drove to them, but i know firsthand from people that have the car tuned by a remote tune. Just contact a tuner in your area to see if they want to do that (and contact TSH). The tune itself is about €400.

Hi I have your mini r53 jcw! The preparation is simply incredible, it works really well especially in high revs. On the other hand, I no longer have the mini GP exchanger and the exhaust manifold ... I had a few questions for you regarding preparation and maintenance because I don't have all the invoices. I just wanted to know why did you put a phase 1 ECU of the r53 in place of the phase 2? Also if you had actually changed the flywheel with mono mass instead of dual mass? And also I wanted to know if the bearings and connecting rod screws have been changed? Thank you in advance. Thank you for the compliment, i have all of the answers: The GP intercooler i sold it for a lot of money, best is to put a GRS cooler on it (value for money). The phase 1 ecu i put on, because the phase 2 ecu is crap. It has hardwires emission stuff on it that my tuner couldn’t get out, it resulted in continuous stalling of the car (because of the cam)! The phase 1 ecu fixed it and drives a lot better, trust me! Don’t make an upgrade to the ph2 ecu, i still have it lying here in my shed, i can send it to you if you like, but it’s crap! I never changed the flywheel, so stock dualmass is in place, in only changed the clutch for a new stock one. It’s plenty strong for that power. Bearings and connecting rods i have never touched😉 Enjoy the car, i have enjoyed it extremely much!!

That power seems about right, especially if you put 98 in😉 The judders are the TC system violently kicking in. The dogbone insert on the bottom of the car is what you’re hearing and i plan on changing this out for a solid unit😎

Goed bezig! Je bedoelt dat ie nu beter schakelt? Ik merkte dat de auto na de chip beter schakelde gek genoeg. Je zou zeggen andersom, maar het lijkt wel alsof VW het stiekem zo bedoeld had haha!
@@ot2nie als ik in manueel schakel met mijn flippers dan bonkt hij echt. En als ik gewoon op GTE stand rijd automaat dan voel ik hem duidelijk overschakelen. Dat had ik niet hiervoor.. Is jou kick down eraf in manueel?
@@mmd7774 in manual schakelen bonkt ie bij mij ook. Dit is niet slecht, de schakeldruk gaat naar maximaal, dus dit is zelfs veiliger voor de bak (alleen wat minder comfortabel!). Met een dsg tune wordt dit alleen maar erger, dus lekker laten zo haha. In D laat ie enig slip toe, dus is het comfortabel.
Car has been rock solid in the almost 4 years of ownership. Only thing that failed was the ABS module, which really is something that doesn’t typically fail on these cars, so just bad luck i guess. Fixed it for about €500 and good to go. Car is probably the best car i’ve owned in terms of practicality, performance and cost. Can really recommend it!
@@ot2nie may be you can test versus a GTI Stage 1, a GTI Clubsport stock ou a R stock? Or versus cars with similar performances like BMW 135i, M3 E46.... You have friends with performance cars?
@@AngelWorks49 i do! But most of them have highly tuned versions carrying 400+ hp, so the GTE would be no match🤣 E46 M3 is pretty much the same performance as the GTE right now, i had a pull from around 100 once with one and the performance was identical to about 200😁
got a Golf 5 1.9 tdi 2004 for free with 450k miles on it. debating if it's still worth keeping that car and all the insane insurance costs and stuff. I would want to do some mods to it since it's pretty ugly stock atm. Bigger wheels, chip tune etc. or just lease a GTE for 200-300 each month. Yeah seems like I pretty much answered my own question lol
Well i love diesels, since they drive very good i think, but the GTE ticks alot of boxes for me and is also quick AND cheap to run! I really love this car now, while i never would’ve thought i’d say that to an eco-minded car lol! Get one if you have the chance (or test drive one at least!)
I don’t know if you still want an answer to this question but I thought I would answer anyway. 450k is extremely high! You would need to spend a lot of money on it to make it safe for even a stage 1 map. The engine would still be a problem as it would need replacing with a lower mileage one otherwise I don’t think it will be able to handle the power. 1.9tdi are not exactly the fastest either. Instead of spending all the money on an old car and having to worry constantly that it would break down, sell it and put a deposit down on a lease for a GTE!! Faster, newer and very cheap to run specially now a days because of the fuel prices. Hope this helps

@@ot2nie bedankt voor je reactie. Ben van plan om een GTE (golf of passat) aan te schaffen en dan ook voor een chiptuning te gaan. Heb jij het idee, nu je wat langer er mee rijdt, dat de auto zo veel pk kan hebben? Behalve meer banden slijtage, geen grote problemen gehad door zoveel meer vermogen?
@@Flevoman banden zijn je grootste zorg. Wel even checken dat de tune niet teveel koppel maakt, 500nm is de max vd bak op standaard software. Met andere dsg tune is dit 550nm, maar daar gaat de bak een stuk agressiever van schakelen, moet je ook maar willen (al van meerdere mensen gehoord).. Verder zal rijden in de GTE stand (getuned) de brandstofmotor wat meer ontlasten. Je vraagt namelijk relatief meer elektrisch vermogen dan standaard. Waar je eerst 50pk elektrisch had (GTE), heb je nu 100pk elektrisch. Als je even snel wilt invoegen bijvoorbeeld, vraag je geen maximaal, maar bijvoorbeeld 150pk en dan zal hij eerst zoveel mogelijk elektrisch vermogen vragen. Naast dat dit heerlijk soepel rijdt, ontlast je de brandstofmotor en rijdt ie gek genoeg ook merkbaar zuiniger als je rijd met dit in het achterhoofd.. De 1.4 voelt zo bijna als een 3.0😅
Deze weersomstandigheden helpen niet echt haha! Ik ga het wel weer een keer testen, aangezien mijn nieuwe modificaties zouden moeten helpen (goeie banden, dogbone en verlagen)!
@@ot2nie top.. Ben er echt benieuwd naar. Gisteren een 0-100 sprint gedaan, met mobo opgenomen, en dan beeldje voor beeldje bekeken waar de run begint en stopt. Ik kom nu uit op 6.8 sec. Viel mij eigenlijk vies tegen. Maar wel winterbanden (veel wheelspin tot aan z'n drie), volle tank, en misschien dat - 1 graden ook effect heeft op de electromotor/accu? Nieuwe banden? Welke banden heb je dan nu? En volgens tuningservice Huizen zou verlagen wheelspin moeten verminderen. Ben heel benieuwd of jij dit ook echt merkt. Kan het zelf bijna niet voorstellen dat dit echt effect zal hebben hierop

Het verlaging heeft wel wat effect, maar verwacht geen wonderen: je kan nog steeds niet lomp op het gas en het blijft wel echt een FWD. Ik merk vooral dat het bochtenwerk beter is en het accelereren uit de bocht. Het asfalt is nu erg koud en vaak ook nat, dit heeft echt by far het meeste invloed op je grip (en dan ook de winterbanden uiteraard)! Als deze banden zijn versleten, wil ik wellicht naar een semislick, maar ben er nog niet over uit (die moeten ook weer opwarmen namelijk).. Ik ga het wel weer testen een dezer dagen!

Ben heel benieuwd wat jij nu doet naar de 100. Als dit ook rond de 6.5 ligt ben ik gerust gesteld 😜
Het lijkt er wel op alsof degene in de andere GTE een beetje laat reageerde. Voor de volgende keer even hem laten aftellen gezien zijn reactiesnelheid. Uiteindelijk rijd je 'm toch wel voorbij, maar hoe snel dit gaat, dat zal aantonen hoe goed die map is.
Those maps only do the combustion engine, i have the E-motor also unlocked, which gives an additional 50 hp. This is just unlocking because in stock form, the E-motor only gives 50% of the power in GTE mode..
@@helischreiner3075 certain tuners can do it, contact Tuning Service Huizen. They did my car and they have excellent reviews (and alot of experience with the GTE😅)
@@managerpl9450 the remap unlocks the E-motor, which gives about 50 hp on the electric side and the petrol engine gives about 20 hp with the new software, so not just petrol engine..
@@managerpl9450 the Passat GTE will perform even better: i’ve seen 310 hp once with just a remap. The Passat has a bigger battery, that’s why. My car had 71.000 km at the moment.. The E-motor is performing at full potential now at 102 hp and the TSI engine is producing about 180-190 hp now and combined about 285 hp and 480 nm.

Klopt! Alleen de modes zijn iets anders (GTE mode en in de Audi schakel je naar S middels de schakelpook), maar dit kan de tuner je perfect uitleggen😅

DSG aanpassen hoeft niet per se, de auto schakelt perfect en is goed tot ongeveer 500nm.

Valt reuze mee, met vlot rijden merk je niks.

Are they 150bhp stock what bhp is stage 1?
The 1.4 tsi has 150 hp stock and about 180 when tuned.
The e-motor in the gte has 102 hp so combined that’s about 280-290 hp.

The E-motor is performing at full potential now at 102 hp and the TSI engine is producing about 180-190 hp now and combined about 285 hp and 480 nm.
