I had a Golf 2ltr diesel GT140. I had it remapped from 138bhp to 168bhp. It was a little rocket through the gears and was able to hit 140mph no problem. It was quite vicious in the wet though and would spin up the front wheels in 3rd gear on occasions. Had Michelin tyres on too, guess it had to do with the different gearing from the normal GTD. Eventually traded it in for an Audi 2ltr Quattro which I also had remapped and that didn’t spin any wheels and just took off. 😂
Accelerating isn't all about smashing the accelerator. You should balance between power and friction. Without a wheelspin, even with less throttle you'd accelerate quicker.

Really cool video!
Can you change the A/C temperature or radio volume wearing gloves?
Yes
Will you be doing the same for the Octavia?
Accelerating isn't all about smashing the accelerator. You should balance between power and friction. Without a wheelspin, even with less throttle you'd accelerate quicker.

Ich fahre bisher nur Benziner.
Brilliant comparison!
A lot of people are not financially stable this period and it's not easy, I always advise people, don't just waste your stimulus checks or salary, invest it in something that will yield more, even if it is a part of it. We can't keep relying on a paycheck that is already half-spent before we even receive it, there are investment opportunities that have helped a lot of people especially in the financial market. Having different streams of income is essential in this pandemic, especially now most of us have to earn and work from home. I've made impressive progress so far this year and it has helped me sort out a lot of bills and I do that through a registered investment company. Hi
Where can I buy your hand protector?
Thanks
Please link for the gloves
Is there a way to disable the fake engine noise?
Great video man, thanks!!
How about the GTI TCR? I cant find enough infoor videos about it
Concise clear video.well done
Womit befestigst Du die GoPro?
Could you do this with the mk7.5 please I’m considering the GTD but I’m not sure if it’s worth it
Handschalter oder DSG beim GTI? Was macht mehr Spaß?
Was macht dann mehr Spaß .
It looks like you tested the GTD in the autumn, and GTI in winter. Were the temperatures and wind speeds and directions similar? These factors are pretty important in high-speed acceleration especially.
I have had my 2024 gtd for about a week and it's a lot faster. 0 to 60 6.9 seconds.
Vanno dritte anche in curva?
Golf lovers, do you guys love the seats?
No
I like these seats yes
No not for what the car is on the outside
Yes very much
I own the golf 7 Allstar edition and I really like the seats but I the seats from my A45 AMG are better. (The AMG was much more expensive so I think that's okay)
Interesting video. I had a test drive in a Cupra Leon Hybrid (245ps) and found it very good, until I had to plug it in. Oh well, waiting for the 310ps petrol. Can't wait for the review!
Gutes Video.
How come your English is so good? Have you been abroad for a longer time?
Maybe he finished school ...
In Europe is not uncommon for people to speak 2 to 3 languages fluently..
Nice comparison. I was thinking what are the implications of wearing a head mounted camera in the event of a collision and air bag release. Won't the camera make the impact with air bag much worse?
It is a very good comparison video. I hope i would get a GTI some day :)

Well this tells me it's the golf GTE for me. Nearly just as fast af gti and more fuel efficient. For to forget since it is GTE and not gti, a bit cheaper in insurance as well. Besides max allowed speed where I live is 130 km/h any way.
Is it 200 hp GTE or 245 hp

0-100 in the gtd is false reading. Peak torque is not at redline
That’s what I‘m saying;)
No car car has peak torque at the red line. 0-100 is all about hp not torque

I got a Polo GTI, so my 0-100 is Golf GTI level, but my 100-200 is Gold GTD level. :D
I dont know why, but i always get 0-100 at around 6,3 sec on my Polo, even tho VW says it needs 6,7

I love those hot hatches fwd but if it can beat the 1.5 turbo civic, then it is compatible for the type t
Type r*
Civic 1.5T S+ needs to be remapped to full potencial - 240 HP / 340NM then is just hell fast 1.5 engine
I think the GTD will not be available in golf 9. It’s a good car to maintain fast pace on the motorway with small consumption. With 200 km/h the GTD will beat the two others with 2-3l/100 km. But that’s it, for everything else the other 2 are better
Golf 8 will be the last Golf generation.
VW wants to go full electric after that.
@@JackoBanon1 i dont think so..... they will go forward with golf. Maybe golf 10 will be full electric.

I think they've finally got the power matching right between the electric motor and the ICE, on the GTE!
It would be interesting to know, that if (because the power figures are almost the same for the Mk7.5/7) the matching of the power was via a software upgrade and could this be applied to the lower Mark's?
Also, have you done a timing for 0-100 for the GTE on electric only?
0-100 in full eletric is 10.5 sec
