I love Princess Diaries 2, I watched the first one a few times but if I need my Princess Diaries movie fix I watch this one. It’s funny because it totally deviates from the books, Grandmiere is a bit of a bitch, the dad is alive and Nicholas is not a dreamboat AT ALL. Plus I love the Birthday Party with the Bed surfing, it looks so fun!

I have alway thought that the romantic plot in SWESB works so well because it is basically "The African Queen IN SPACE!" IT has that 30/40's Tracy/O'Hara or Bogart/O'Hara type of feel to it. Pro-parenting tip: Don't send you kid off with his crazy uncle at the age of nine or ten and ignore him for the next decade .. you won't like the ending (Shmi did this too ..).

I could not agree more! I love the Emma - Kenneth version of it. Was happy about the P&P mention as well but sad they didn't use footage of the BBC version with Colin Firth (so much better than the 2005 one).

I always had a great dislike for this ship. Wurgs, he killed millions of people, nearly killed her friend and tortured her. Yeah, great love... *ironic off* Maybe I would think different, if the writing wasn't so poorly. But I really didn't saw their kiss coming in Ep IX. It left a bad taste. What a waste this all was...

The level of “hate” is really all over the place from dislike to several serious injuries inflicted. Rivals to lovers and enemies to lovers is a huge gap and while haters to lovers sounds stupid, it’s the best middle ground

Stardust is the best. This movie is more than the love story of Tristan and Yvaine. It is for any age. The movie is incredible, but the ending is magical. I highly recommend that.

Stardust is one of my comfort movies that I never get tired of.
the first time i watched princesses diaries two the first thing i thought of when Mia found out Nicholas wanted her crown was that Mia should have arranged a marriage with him on the spot. They both get what they want and he has what she lacks and vice versa - but she couldnt put aside her personal feelings/issues to come to this conclusion which made me think she was not ready to become Queen, she has a lot of growing to do, and thats coming from a 28 year old

Absolutely! Any movie 2 hours long cannot do justice to the book and can't show the progression of their love. I once had a slumber party with the BBC edition. We did shots (of Baileys) everytime Lady Catherine interrupted Mr. Collins, every time Mrs. Bennett talked about her nerves and everytime Darcy GOT WET! *sigh*
