Thanks for sharing. Very well done. Good info for me before my first play. I got all the cards sleeved. Whew! Not sure if that is needed considering how nice the cards are, but I got the sleeves with my KS back so the cards got sleeved! :-)
Card quality is really good. I almost got the sleeves, but trying to save money ... felt okay since there isn't much shuffling. Hope your game goes well! :)

Hey Dale, thanks for the video! I really love this game and am glad to see someone doing a explanation. I have a question for you, is that a specific playmat, underneath the map tile, made for the game? If so could you point me to where you got it, thanks!
This game is a bear. The icons and rules text on the cards are so weird and different from other dungeon crawlers that there are some cards that still crack my brain wide open trying to interpret them. Still, I find the theme and gameplay worth the effort, and the designer is pretty active in the Machina Arcana Facebook group to answer questions. I'm looking forward to your playthrough!
@Jay Plays I've heard the previous edition rules were a hard read. Felt the 3rd edition rules were pretty good. I think this will be a hit with my group, but due to the length, I don't see me doing many solo plays. :)
From what I understand, all changes were cosmetic (art, rules clarifications, etc.), so 2nd edition is fully compatible with 3rd. Hope that helps and happy gaming! :)
Really loving the components with a couple of exceptions. Inventory cards just hanging out in space alongside the lovely player area. Why bother to cut them half size? Also the player guide is merely paper when everything else is stiff card. More than one would give non active player something to do. Minor points all. Otherwise this looks like a nice deep dungeon automa.
@JJE McManus I totally agree on the player aids, would have loved a thicker paper stock or be cardboard. And the inventory cards probably could have been any size (something more normal). But for a company, or a guy, that this is there only game ... I'm impressed. Feels like 3rd edition got it where it needed to be. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer yes, no doubt. The polish on the main pieces is to die for. You moving the map tiles about sounded like you were stacking plywood. I nearly swooned.
