At 13 i was harassed by an auto driver who used to pick me up from my school. I came to home and cried and told everything to my parents. They told me not to tell this thing to anyone and complained in my school. My parents put unbelievable restrictions on me after that incident. I hate them for doing this to me. I felt like i was the wrong person in the situation but i don't know how because i was wearing full clothes neither i was flirting. As i grew i developed many fears within myself. Now, i talk about that incident to many people especially to young girls and all my friends. I came to know that its such a small thing which happened to many girls and they arent even able to voice it out. Public places are actually not safe for women. I just dont know if at any point of time women would feel safe on this planet
Don't blame your parents, they know the society and people better than you, If they did strict action against auto driver, then it could have create huge problem in future like your marriage, or may be he would try to take revenge because they have nothing to lose. Edit:- Dear Replies! I think you didn't understand my point. I am not saying that her parents are right, but they know that our society and laws and police, are worst in India. Many acid attacks happened just because of revenge, and still police couldn't catch them. Different parents have different thinking but everyone fears for their childrens life. They don't want their daughters to have have problems in future.

I felt soo much anger and ashamed, I went home and at first I wanted to tell our dad but then again our dad’s scolding might not create a huge impact on him. The moment he came home I poured ice cold water on his head and asked him if his head is ok or not that he felt it was okay to even sit with those idiots and laugh along with them when they were harassing those girls. He was still confused and that made me even more angry, and I told him that it is NEVER ok to make women uncomfortable or unsafe with your actions or words . Let’s just say I’ve never seen him do that again, I guess it hit him when his own sister told him that what he did made her uncomfortable even though they were not aimed at her.
Rape is definitely a problem but the biggest problem is how they're treated after being raped. The thought that a woman's life gets completely destroyed after rape is most problematic. It's society's duty to help rape victims adjust in the society and not treat them as outcast.

@@Sandwich-h1e How is that related to rapes? and those girls are probably 12 or 13 year olds who believe whatever they see on social media, immature kids with no real knowlegde dont tell me you justify rapes over something like this??
Every rape got these layers behind it. 1. Objectification of women in our movies 2. The common role our actresses are offered is to support a man emotionally or to earn his love as her prime goal 3. The iniquitous 'item songs' 4. Men never told to not stare at a woman rather women are told to dress properly 5. Lack of proper sex education 6. Prostitution and pornography 7. Patriarchy causing men to feel superior 8. Alcohol, drugs As long as we don't address all of these collectively, we'll only erupt now and then and won't find a solution.
2 is slightly wrong. In most Bollywood movies it’s the man pursuing the woman and wearing her out or “winning her over” through harassment that’s passed off as romantic and ends in song and dance. But yes, she is seen mostly as an object and an emotional support “sidekick.” The message is if it’s a no, keep trying. In real life, if someone tries that they quickly find out they would not win over the woman. So she is abused, assaulted, raped, and has revenge crimes committed against her like acid attacks, murder, etc. The rest of the points are very true. Lack of sex education and objectification of women that’s supported by media and their peers is a huge thing. As usual, women are told to cover up or have curfew and even in hostels, bars on girls’ hostel window and strict 9 pm curfew usually. Men still rule the world in many places, and women have always had to adjust to it to try to protect themselves.
I would like to add to it as lack of education in general too (not just literacy, but proper education and understanding point of view also), and lack of mental healthcare

I was saying that men and women should be treated equally in our society so that they do not feel shy and lack of confidence in sharing something in front of the opposite gender or asking for help when needed. This debate continued until my teacher said, "पत्नी का ये मजाल कि बो अपने पति को आंख उठा कर देख ले." Then I realized that I am wasting my time. Now you can understand what kind of mentality even a teacher can have.
I've found that misogynists often struggle to change, and if they do, it's usually thanks to someone who helped them along the way. However, personally, I wouldn't make such efforts because I believe the risk of getting hurt outweighs any potential benefits. Confronting such individuals, regardless of their gender, could result in harm to oneself. That's why I always advise people, especially children, to let go and stay away from them, as they're also likely to commit other crimes. So I hope you are safe and stay safe 😊

all KVs were the same, the teachers would shame the girls, side with the boys; even the female teachers, which was so sad and disappointing. At that young age, you expect a level of maturity, understanding and possibly any form of mentorship but they were all bullies. I remember talking to a boy in my class about some movie that him and I liked after class(the classes were over and some students were leaving) and we were sitting on different benches too but my Hindi teacher still got mad and made such a big deal about it. I didn't say much but I didn't apologize to her either about anything. The next day, the PT Sir, with whom I had never talked to me in my entire life, came up to me and told me to apologize to her. It just seem so disgusting to imagine that she might have been so pissed that she bitched about it probably in the teacher's room, to a point that another teacher told me to apologize to her. I realized her ego was way too much fragile to be shattered by a 14 year old girl.
my school was not like this, i spent my entire school sitting between 2 girls (1-12th), and we shared everything, from food to all everyday crap and all dirty sexual talks. when we were in final year, it was really disheartening to us when school introduced new dress code, changing from shirt+skirts to salwar-suits for girls of 10-12th, we knew why its being done, and we used to laugh at school for posting such stupid actions to stop easy-sex in school premises. we didnt had sex with each other, but we saw others and knew secret places in school where elder kids used to go for the fun. it was so weird for me to see them in that dress and they complain how suffocated they felt in their legs and breast areas. we used to joke around, if we were in Hawai, we would just stay naked all the time, no clothing boundation like this school, lol. as far as i know, now the school has implemented this dress code to younger girls as well, this explains the mentality of older gen people, new policies are pushing genders further apart. i feel sorry for the kids in my previous school, getting crushed by new patriarchy.
I would gladly let the tourism of our country go down if that incentivizes the people in power to make it safer for all women. The safety of our girls is more important than reputation.

I dropped out from the centre the next year because I felt so ashamed and scared. The people who were meant to be protecting me completely failed me.

Such a great video Mohak, I too have faced the harsh separation b/w girls and boys in schools. In my old school, we were not allowed to talk to a girl in the corridors or even share a tiffin with the girls during lunch. Boys and girls were regularly taken to the principal for talking to girls in corridors and even their parents were asked to come to school. The teachers and principals regularly said ALL GIRLS ARE YOUR SISTERS, and we were made to not even sit close to them, talk about sitting with them. I believe this type of taboo in our society is also a leading cause of such acts of shame. The students are not given sex ed., even teachers fear teaching the reproduction chapters in class. I hope our govt. takes some actions in breaking this taboo in the near future
my school was not like this, i spent my entire school sitting between 2 girls (1-12th), and we 3 shared everything, from food to all everyday crap and all dirty sexual talks. when we were in final year, it was really disheartening to us when school introduced new dress code, changing from shirt+skirts to salwar-suits for girls of 10-12th, we knew why its being done, and we used to laugh at school for posting such stupid actions to stop easy-sex in school premises. we didnt had sex with each other, but we saw others and knew secret places in school where elder kids used to go for the fun. it was so weird for me to see them in that dress and they complain how suffocated they felt in their legs and breast areas. we used to joke around, if we were in Hawai, we would just stay naked all the time, no clothing boundation like this school, lol. also, all teachers were very humble, smart and sane. sex education at school was the best anyone could get without internet (really). fast forward to 10 years later, as far as i know, now the school has implemented this dress code to younger girls as well, this explains the mentality of older gen people, new policies are pushing genders further apart. i feel sorry for the kids in my previous school, getting crushed by new patriarchy.
Being a part of this "gen z" I don't waste my time in unnecessary reels or shorts infact I utilise it in informative videos like that of mohak's... hat's off to u bro
Also a lesson to parents, what goes wrong in their parenting? Their indifference in raising kids based on gender makes a huge impact. Our indian parents raise women to be submissive and raise their son like they're born to rule women with brutality. That's the root of these problems. They should teach both empathy towards eachother, kindness, humanity, how to act like a human instead of looking who is useful for them in old-age. Stop raising your sons like insurance in old-age. Raise them both like individual humans. This solves so many problems we face in this society. Think twice what's going wrong? Where it all started. The seed to these problems.
bilkul correct!!! and sabse pehle .. sabsi choti cheez hai ki koi bhi aadmi ya aurat gaali dena bandd karein and this is applied to both boys and girls.. i am so hurt that when a boy or girl gets angry he or she abuses mom and sis abuses, and that abuses literally means to have x*s with them.. so if we sow seeds of abuses in mind then what will happen when we will grow up??!!

For people who says girls are raped for showing too much skin what about the infant female child???? she was raped for showing too much skin????!!!!!!!!! idk how these type of people have guts to even say this kind of things.
Sadly even the victims of rape seem to accuse themselves, not the criminal, bcz so many comments are mentioning what clothes they wear when it does not matter bcz a person should be able to even walk naked (technically, like, know what I mean I guess) and not be targeted and raped. The sane people would help her to cover, but the filth would use it as an excuse to rape her, going naked does not mean the person want it and many who are VERY much covered also get raped. And like you said infants (EEWWWWW), veryyy horrific, but do not just list the female infants bcz it is OFTEN with males too. So never forget that males are victims too, males need help too, males should not be harrassed either soo.
@Decently.kinkyy Rape can never be justified but we should take actions collectively as a whole. Both men and women should take responsibilities. Only then society will change. We should educate both girls and boys to not sexualize themselves or others in order to achieve a stable society. For example nudity is not promoted for a reason, that is it will make our society unstable.
@@amlanlegend3092 It does justify my statement actually bcz the whole point is that people should be able to walk around naked and not be touched, nor whistled at and so on, that is the whole point. To be decent. Get a clue. Smh.

After watching this video I realized how differently my parents raised me. I'm also a victim of sexual harassment and it happened in a second that I was unable to voice it out. My dad was there with me when it happened. He hit the guy with his helmet and then others followed suit beating the guy up. Through out the ride home I was conflicted about what happened. It felt like a lapse of memory and judgement. My father complained how I didn't even shout or say anything. My mom sat with me and told me to not be afraid to voice it out, basically said Fuck Society and do what you think is right at that moment. Sure, my parents are very conservative but they taught me the right thing to do. I realized how important sexual education is throughout the years and how its lacking in India and how shrewd believes are holding people by leashes. I decided to talk openly to my little brother. I tell him how much it hurts to have periods or what happens during that, I told him how hard it is to walk in broad daylight but still feel like a prey to men as they stare at me even though I'm not wearing revealing clothes. My brother too believed that girls shouldn't be lewd before but now his views are changing. My mom would scold me for talking these things to a child, a boy at that but I shrug her off because he needs to learn these and to act on it. We can't wait for our parents or society to change , I believe we need to implement on it by our own even though u receive backlashes. Freedom of speech includes talking about sexual violence too and if we dont it causes major trauma. Teach your brothers. I'm not saying this as a feminist or shit, I just wanted to tell that watching documentaries and commenting about change in education, views, blah blah blah wont be changing anything. I was wearing modest clothes as I live in the rural areas. I narrated the incidents to my mom and she said this happens all the time with all the women and I should ignore it. But, not every man has bad intentions. The guys from my college and workplace behaved respectfully and even helped me during my bad times. EDIT: I see a few comments saying I have to report it to police. But I don't even know the identities of those men, what I will report? I don't even remember their faces clearly because I was too afraid to look at them when I realized what they were doing to me. I would like to argue that false rape cases are also about controlling the women. As Mohak said, most of the false rape cases are filed by the girl's parents because she ran away & married someone against their will. So in this case, it's about controlling the daughters by their parents.

Do not slap him, because if u do he's going to retaliate, a man is biologically much stronger than a woman, physically you cannot win against him, one thing u can do is to immediately distract him with your words while leaving to a crowded place. dont tell me you justify rapes over something like this??
ghar mei rhne wale introvert boys bhi aise gdhon ke chakkar mei bdnam hotey hai.. Ki ldke aise hi hotey hain.
Every rape got these layers behind it.
1. Objectification of women in our movies
2. The common role our actresses are offered is to support a man emotionally or to earn his love as her prime goal
3. The iniquitous 'item songs'
4. Men never told to not stare at a woman rather women are told to dress properly
5. Lack of proper sex education
6. Prostitution and pornography
7. Patriarchy causing men to feel superior
8. Alcohol, drugs
As long as we don't address all of these collectively, we'll only erupt now and then and won't find a solution.
You can’t be more accurate, it’s so true.😢
I completely agree with you 👍
I would like to add to it as lack of education in general too (not just literacy, but proper education and understanding point of view also), and lack of mental healthcare
Right but I guess gender segregation in our society is also a major factor in rape cases in India.

When I was in eighth grade in my school, a debate started between me and one of my favorite teachers regarding good coordination between males and females.
Having worked in peripheral govt hospitals and attending such neglected girls every day, I can conclude for sure that the rape cases we see in India are just the tip of an iceberg, the real number is way more than that. Sometimes 15-16 year old girls will only come with 9 months of pregnancy, and the case would be reported for the first time by the hospital administration. The conditions are pathetic!!
So it's possible that girls was pregnant by her boyfriend with consent of girl???
According to some report in india most of registered rape cases are false rape cases

i agree if we take a good look at it most women that get raped doesnt always wear sensual clothes it can be a 3 year old kid ... a small school girl in her uniform or also a 60 year old middle age woman in her traditional clothes the problem that people often blame girls to hide the fact that it was fault of the men !

Nature ne female ko itna physically weak kyo banaya hai ?
Agar mai bolu ki meri research se mai ladkiyo ko male jitna strong bana dunga!
To kya females khud agree karengi ?apni body change karne ke liye ?
Mera manna ye hai ki hum ladkiyo ko strong banane ke liye unke breast system ko aise manipulate karenge ki vo keval preganant hone ke aur lactation period Tak hi bade honge !
Take unko comfort ho !
Aur unke hips bhee isi samay tak hi wide honge !
Aur baat rhi physical weakness ki ho harmone manipulate se hum unko ladko jaise strength de denge aur periods ko bhee isi samay tak keval limit kar denge !
Ho isse hoga ye ki ladke ladki dono ko same physical strength milegi !
Baat Rahi ladko ki kaam vasna Jo ki bohot hoti hai !
To hum unke liye vaccine ban denge jisse unka hormonal change ho jayenge aur aur ek limited period Tak koi lust mehsus ho nhi karenge !
By this rape problem can be totally solved !

Me being a girl can definitely say that yes this topic is like a very sensitive topic in Indian families... Whenever there's a rape case my mother warns me and say "see that's why you should be careful and shouldn't go outside after 7 pm and all".. They never ever talks about it with my brother.. They should tell him to be respectful and humble to all women and even if a girl is wandering out at 11 pm make her feel safe not uncomfortable by your presence...

Depends on where you live. In Southern India where I live, you can find women on the streets even at night.
Even educated people have really cheap thinking. My coaching director in a way blamed women for rape cases that they put fake rape allegations, and there's no fault of poor boy. This comes from a person who is earning in crores in a year. With half of it's student being female students.
Simple reason your professor watches videos of sigma males too much who wanna deny rape and ..

Shukar hai bagwan ka kuch Knowledgeable sunne ko mila hai mila wo v from the youth of India.... Well done brother...
When I was 2nd class , my older cousin brother sexually harrassed me and it continued for 2-3 years . I didn't knew what was happening with me and never told anyone because he asked me to never tell anyone . And one day my mother saw it and she said to me 'sharam nhi aati bhai hai vo tera ' and i thought it was my mistake as i have done something terrible and she blamed me and asked me to stay away from him . Ahe never told about it to anyone to maintain the 'peace' in the house .and since then whenever anybody assaulted me in public or made me feel uneasy , i dealt with the person myself and i never told anyone because in my mind , I thought i was the wrong one ..as i grew up i realised that in those 2-3 years what actually happened with me , that i was raped . And i use to cry a lot sometimes .. and i started having anxiety and stress as why this happened and i felt violated . And after 9 years i.e a year ago . I told them that this happened and why they didnt do anything or said anything because i couldn't keep it in and then they yelled at me and my father beat me up and i hand swelled too and he grabbed my neck and said it would have been better if i would die or i would have never been born..and said 'ye to ghar tudwaegi humara , zyada pad likh liya hai isne isiliye' . And they did it infront of my gradma too and she said 'chup rehna nhi to samaj mai kya izzat reh jayegi humari' . It hurts when who gave you birth makes you feel that you are unwanted or it would be better if i would have never been born . They ruined the world for me . Everybody wants to feel protected and loved . I guess it is a distant dream for me to expect this from my parents .i couldn't trust people now. Everthing felt like burden . I ruined my realtionship with my boyfriend. He was the reason i didn't cut my wrist that day . Anyways , he always stayed , loved cared and respected me and chose to stay always . I never said this all outloud except my 3 comfort people .. and if someday i am hurt or in pain , my parents will be the last to know, I'd rather choose a stranger .. because they don't deserve to know ...
Someday I hope I will be strong enough to say this all with my real name ❤
Society is a sheep with no brain, it keeps on doing what their parents did and their parents did exactly what they saw their grand parents doing. Today we have social media and can create awareness, back in the days it was too common for people to get violated and remain silent to " save the honor of the family ". Luckily things are changing now. And sorry for your mental trauma that you had to go through I hope that made you a strong woman and you would reflect the same to your children/future children.
my heart goes out to you. remember you aren't to be blamed for whatever that happened. the only people at fault are your cousin, mother, father, grandmother and our crappy society that has caused this mentality in people. it is very strong of you to be able to admit such a vulnerable thing and I hope youre now free from those terrible people in your life and i hope you're independent and on a journey to heal
More power to you
I hope ur strong now and please don't remember those words it can hurt u even more, I know its hard to forget but try. We are always with you!!!
I don't care what other people will say or think about me. But I will advice you to be economically independent first and then try to be Powerful.
After that show them that they have messed with wrong person.
By the way were they your real parents or you are adopted?
And why did you leave your BF if he cared for you and tried to help you? He seems a nice guy who loves you. You should never leave him.
Just know that you are not at fault for whatever happed to you. You are brave and strong 💪 i wish and pray for your speedy recovery. Time heals everything, that bright day will arrive when you are completely healed and recovered from your trauma. You deserve love respect and beautiful life ❤
Please keep up the good work... God bless you.. keep on enlightening us.

Feeling sad after nirbhaya 2.0 and seeing this after kolkata doctor case feeling sad 😭😭
It is not NIRBHAYA2.0 but NIRBHAYA10000.0 , 10000+ rape deaths have happened since 2012
@@ananb7747 I am a teenager but can understand it 😭
I am 25. Till now there had been two instances where I have been inappropriately touched. Both of the incidents happened in a crowded bus. And one male was 70+ old man and another around 45+.
My only thoughts were of wishing to quickly reach my bus stop or how to avoid their touch in any way possible. And even if I report them to police or social media, I don't have any proof....I didn't take a photo or video of them. In the era where fake cases are on the rise, no one will be convinced that I am telling the truth. And remember it was a crowded bus, they can easily say that it was not their intention, that it was so crowded that accidentally they touched me. Please put yourself in my shoes.
Ignoring is where it starts getting worse. Agr report hi nhi kroge to wo kal isse bura kisi or ke saath krega...
stay strong girl...💪
two parv*eted girls did the same to me,i was traumatized and could not tell coz girls were laughing
Dear sister , please don't ignore , if nobody listens drop it on social media , people will listen
There are 3 incidents where I was falsely accused of molestation, and I was told by police why would the girl lie, the reason of I was accused was my anger hopefully all three times my sister was with me and other witnesses also testified that I wsnt at fault. I have no faith left in Indian judic!ary

That’s just crabs in a bucket behaviour. Derailing arguments isn’t meant to promote equality or help for either groups. It’s meant to shut the argument down because “yeah, well others are suffering too, so your problems aren’t that bad.”
@@ASentientBlockofSwissCheese fale rape case and real one are two sides of same coin so discussion about one is incomplete without another.
There is no derailing of argument.
I would like to argue that false rape cases are also about controlling the women. As Mohak said, most of the false rape cases are filed by the girl's parents because she ran away & married someone against their will. So in this case, it's about controlling the daughters by their parents.
That's not the primary concern here.
Why should a girl run away at first place, thats shame to a family
@@dynamicmale3919 are you serious there could be plenty of reasons we wouldn't know that. Is the family's reputation all that matters, and that justifies making fake rape cases not at all right?

Yes correct. Parents who treat daughters with respect they will not run away. Parents who treat daughter as a burden their. Daughter run away. Simple psychology. Men also files the fake rape case destroyed other men career. Men is enemy of other men
Main causes- 1) lack of proper education and lack of importance for morals and principles 2) Bad influence of films and social media 3) item dances in films 4) Bad habits like drinks and drugs 5) lack of morality and social responsibility among some people 5 ) lack of severe punishments 6) bad upbringing and irresponsible behaviour at home by the parents .
The amount of disgust I had hearing the thinking of people is immense.
People are right on many basis and are correct, so can't blame. They just protect their close ones.
Indian media should ask questions to government, about law and order but we don't have any media.
i was harassed by a man around his 30s last year. i'm 17 and i was in my school uniform. he touched me and kept making inappropriate remarks. i'm ashamed to say that i couldn't do anything. when i got home and told my mom, she was mad at me because i couldn't stand up for myself, she said i should've slapped him and i think what she said is right, but i was hoping for her to tell me that it wasn't my fault. i truly feel disgusted whenever i think about it. weird incidents with men have happened even when i was a child. i can't even imagine what rape victims feel and go through.
God bless ❤ his karma will punish him!!pray hanuman Chaelisa for protection he’s with us
Do not slap him, because if u do he's going to retaliate, a man is biologically much stronger than a woman, physically you cannot win against him, one thing u can do is to immediately distract him with your words while leaving to a crowded place. First up, always stay in a crowded place, don't wander out alone.
Please report the matter to police immediately such ignorance will lead to some other dangerous incidents. Please report the same to police immediately
Who's here after Kolkata doctor murder rape incident?
nothing changed
As a man i dont think so there is a mistake of girls being raped by wearing short clothes or out late night . The problem is mindset of boys toward women or POV thats matter alot and mohak bhai said it can only be done by these type of classes in our school, colleges or atleast any online platform especially in villages.
yeah ur right women cant be like that too jst they can be normal but its the idiotic mindset of these guys that's troubling, and even if a woman is doing whatever, they still don't have the right to have the indecency of doing so or thinking abt it
Yes you are right, but saying women can wear anything and go out at anytime is still dangerous in our society. Empowering women before changing. Society is only going to cause more problems
