Saw in nashville in october..all the man did was come out on stage and play for three straight hours...the best show that i have ever seen..and i have seen a lot
Wow you guys don't listen to a lot of music do you? This guy doesn't have a style. Is he rock or country. He's not southern rock.... People like Jason Isbell and 400 unit, Kings of Leon, Chris Stapleton, hell Dwight Yoakam beats this bad....Dwight has an AMAZING band. This can't hold a candle to stuff like Tom Petty. New music is pretty much garbage. It's like a jam band with a steel guitar.
Listen to almost all of those bands/artists. Sturgill plays second fiddle to none of them. And this current tour is the best version of Johnny Blue Skies & the band. Amazing artist, amazing live show!

Had a coastal hippie in a drug rug and dreds on my right, an eastern Oregon cowboy with a Stetson and a rodeo prize belt buckle as big as a frying pan on my left. Sturgill brought both to tears that night. Not many musicians can do that. I guess people are just people after all.
Totally blown away. This is one of the best live sets I’ve listened to in years, and I’ve seen all the great acts the last 40 years or so. Definitely going to pull up to his show when he’s in California.
He’s been killing it this tour. I’ve been listening to every Nugs drop religiously at this point. I just can’t get enough after luckily seeing the band two nights almost just went second night. It was 6 hrs of lightning in a bottle and I’m still feeling the groove from his show. Sound is phenomenal the band is locked, lights are grooving and it’s only getting better. Dunno who I’d rather catch live at this point…The king is back. 🫠⚡️👑

I saw him at a club in Denver after his first album came out. There were about 8 people in the audience including the cocktail waitress. I was shocked that they played due to lack of attendance. They were grateful and put on a good show…. just guitars, bass and drums… Now here we are a decade later!
Saw him In Brandon , Ms a week ago. I am still mesmerized at how good a show it was. One cannot put his live music in a simple box. Just 3 hours of non-stop great songs and musicianship over about a dozen genres. Amazing live.

Just saw this show in Nashville 10/25/24. Best show I’ve seen in my life-3 and a half hours moving from song to song without a break. Did a bunch of cover songs (Doors, Eurythmics, Prince) and made them all his own. Fantastic show.
It was an incredible show. Up againt the rail, so many wonderful sturgill people there to see the man. He sounded fantastic. And wow, it was LOUD up there! lol. It was everything i hoped it would be ❤. Hes also playing next sunday at ACL so yall get out there and check it out!

Chicago was amazing! The music is incredible and makes me feel so many emotions. Love him. Absolutely a music genius. I can't imagine my life without his music running through me.
Took my wife to ACL all 3 days. I was waiting for Sturgill on Sunday night the entire time. Blink 182 was fun Chappell Roan was great but Sturgill was the best by far
So glad Sturgill joined Nugs for this tour. I couldn't go to the Chicago shows, because my wife and I just had a baby. I went through the grief of not being able to finally see Sturgill, to the joy of being able to listen to every show of the tour. With how awful crowds are these days, I'm totally okay with this trade off. Hopefully they keep touring and rolling out new material and covers, because I have to see him in person at some point.

Me and my band at the time got to open up for Sturgill way back in the day... there were 7 paid tickets through the door during a massive Rocky Mountain snowstorm that closed the highway to get into Aspen... Dude tore it up that night, and is still tearing it up!
Sturgill Simpson is a breath of fresh air to music, whether Americana, bluegrass, or rock. I emailed ACL for a ticket, and before waiting on a reply, drove to Texas, hoping for a stand-by entry, if I didn't get an email back from ACL. My beagle and I showed up four hours before the show, hoping to be towards the front of the standby line. Well, we did get towards the front of the line, with maybe 50 fans ahead us. 3 hours later, the ACL staff told us that every person emailed had arrived, and only about 25 stand-by fans were let in (out of maybe 200 standy-bys) . It was a long shot, and I was not disappointed, since my pup and I got to meet so many wonderful Austin people; everyone was nice, friendly, and the Texas women are a sight to see, easy on the eyes.
