Well done fellow Blue Skies Traveller. You made it. My realization came 9/20/24 at the Gorge Amphitheater. - BST Bodhisatva Level: Cacidy. You’ll know it’s me when we meet up one of these days.
Wow you guys don't listen to a lot of music do you? This guy doesn't have a style. Is he rock or country. He's not southern rock.... People like Jason Isbell and 400 unit, Kings of Leon, Chris Stapleton, hell Dwight Yoakam beats this bad....Dwight has an AMAZING band. This can't hold a candle to stuff like Tom Petty. New music is pretty much garbage. It's like a jam band with a steel guitar.
Listen to almost all of those bands/artists. Sturgill plays second fiddle to none of them. And this current tour is the best version of Johnny Blue Skies & the band. Amazing artist, amazing live show!
With lots of age and heartaches, i sing this song along with my LP record on a regular basis! I have no inhibitions how anyone else in my house hears me sing this song! - Soooo Please go ahead, i don't mind! very therapuetic for sure!!!
Holy shit!! This is amazing. I saw him in Lexington at Rupp arena last week play for 3 1/2 hours with no opener and no intermission. He’s on another stratosphere
I saw him at a club in Denver after his first album came out. There were about 8 people in the audience including the cocktail waitress. I was shocked that they played due to lack of attendance. They were grateful and put on a good show…. just guitars, bass and drums… Now here we are a decade later!
We are truly blessed to here on the same timeline as Sturgill. That band is so god damn tight. If they are playing within a 1000 mile radius of you, go see them. Trust me on this, I would not steer you wrong!
Just saw this show in Nashville 10/25/24. Best show I’ve seen in my life-3 and a half hours moving from song to song without a break. Did a bunch of cover songs (Doors, Eurythmics, Prince) and made them all his own. Fantastic show.
He’s been killing it this tour. I’ve been listening to every Nugs drop religiously at this point. I just can’t get enough after luckily seeing the band two nights almost just went second night. It was 6 hrs of lightning in a bottle and I’m still feeling the groove from his show. Sound is phenomenal the band is locked, lights are grooving and it’s only getting better. Dunno who I’d rather catch live at this point…The king is back. 🫠⚡️👑
Totally blown away. This is one of the best live sets I’ve listened to in years, and I’ve seen all the great acts the last 40 years or so. Definitely going to pull up to his show when he’s in California.
Saw him In Brandon , Ms a week ago. I am still mesmerized at how good a show it was. One cannot put his live music in a simple box. Just 3 hours of non-stop great songs and musicianship over about a dozen genres. Amazing live.
Took my wife to ACL all 3 days. I was waiting for Sturgill on Sunday night the entire time. Blink 182 was fun Chappell Roan was great but Sturgill was the best by far
It was an incredible show. Up againt the rail, so many wonderful sturgill people there to see the man. He sounded fantastic. And wow, it was LOUD up there! lol. It was everything i hoped it would be ❤. Hes also playing next sunday at ACL so yall get out there and check it out!
Got to see Sturg and the gang live last month, a highlight of my life! Such a treat to watch from my couch again! 🤯 The metal breakdown in Best Clockmaker!! 🫨 Might be my most favorite version of this song EVER!

Fellow Blue Skies Traveller, I can confirm you’re right on time. The proverbial bat signal / gold laserdisc was sent out a long long time ago. I've refused to pay for TH-cam for years. But the commercials interrupting the flow got me reaching for my credit card. Such a buzz kill. Can't wait to see them on Friday in Pittsburgh! 🤘🤘🤘
I quit paying after they raised the price (if they weren’t censoring I’d prob pay more) BUT….being able to download content is a nice feature as well. If you’re ever away from service its clutch
My boyfriend pays for YT music because he can’t stand the commercials and we normally watch on his account. I started watching this on my account yesterday during work and when the first commercial hit I was about to riot! 😂 I’ve been spoiled!
My wife and I saw him night 2 at the Salt Shed in Chicago. Hands down best show. As per seemingly every stop on this tour no opener, no intermission and 3 solid hours of him and his band absolutely tearing the roof off the joint. It’s been over a week and I still think about that show at least once a day.
Chicago was amazing! The music is incredible and makes me feel so many emotions. Love him. Absolutely a music genius. I can't imagine my life without his music running through me.
My god- heard of these guys but this is the 1st time ive listened to them.. holy smokes im glad i clicked on this vid. Someone commented on here "simply the best band in the country right now" ..absolutely accurate statement that.
Me and my band at the time got to open up for Sturgill way back in the day... there were 7 paid tickets through the door during a massive Rocky Mountain snowstorm that closed the highway to get into Aspen... Dude tore it up that night, and is still tearing it up!
That’s one helluva set. Just being there for railroad of sin would’ve made the ticket cost worth it. That entire band is a bunch of consummate professionals. Every one of them kicks ace.
What an amazing performance by Sturgill and the guys! I saw them at Santa Barbara Bowl for the second show of the tour and let me you, they have fucking turned it up way past 11! 🔥
I got to see his show at Rupp Arena on Sept 27 and they played for 3.5 hrs straight. Best show I've been too in a long time. Really hope they end up recording and cutting a double live album of this set.
So glad Sturgill joined Nugs for this tour. I couldn't go to the Chicago shows, because my wife and I just had a baby. I went through the grief of not being able to finally see Sturgill, to the joy of being able to listen to every show of the tour. With how awful crowds are these days, I'm totally okay with this trade off. Hopefully they keep touring and rolling out new material and covers, because I have to see him in person at some point.
I really wanted to see Sturgill again after so many years. Had tixkets for him and Fantastic Negrito in 2020. Then tragedy. I wanted to go to this, but for 300 bucks to wade through all the extra to just see him wasn't worth it to me. Thanks so much for this upload!!!

Incredible performance! Bummed that I missed my chance to see them when they came through town earlier in the year, but I'll definitely catch them next time around. So good...

What an excellent way to utilize a small festival set!!!!! Never enough time with Sturgill, but this is killer ❤
yes, thanks for this. Was there but get to relive it again and again. He and his band are so frickin' tight!
Jupiter's Faerie makes my eyes tear up every time.
I was lucky enough to be there. My crew and I looked at each other when they were done as if to say “did we just see and hear that?”. What a gift
