    Thanks for sharing these with us! After seeing mostly stockinette stitch patterns for most of the pandemic, I’m thrilled that more complex things are making a comeback now. Maybe I‘ll even get around to publishing my colourwork design 😂 A girl can dream.
    Being a plus-size knitter, most of these aren’t accessible to me (mostly due to time constraints) but I still love seeing them and the development they bring to the knitting community as a whole. Agree with you that knitting is a very visual hobby and a photo-sharing website is crucial for that, although I‘d love if it weren’t owned by Meta.

    Great roundup as always! I really like the drop stitch trend. Especially the otherloops top - so so pretty.

    These videos are so much fun! I would include the neon 80’s trend. Its been so fun to see many designers and knitters who normally use toned down colors come out with crazy neon makes 😊.

    • @highfiberknits
      @highfiberknits  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! Loving the neon; sari nordlund talks about how she likes to infuse color but often feels like she has to make neutrals too to make the item easier to market, but I love the boldness

    great video. However the knitting community did and would still exist without Instagram, we had Ravelry and TH-cam first. 😁

    • @highfiberknits
      @highfiberknits  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course it would! I didn’t mean to discredit that, and it’s certainly transformed in terms of the number of folks being able to make careers related to knitting and social media and therefore the number of designers!

    Nice video, thank you Emilie. Here in France, we see a lot of hot pink this summer and also some bright orange. The colors are back, it’s great 😊

    That Other loops top is my next pattern. I'm a little scared as well! I've had the Onling #2 yarn for a while and it's perfect for it.

    I really like the idea of the short straps on those high neck tank tops! I feel like structually you'd be less likely to have major stretching out of the straps.

    lovely video as per usual! I've just cast off my sol top by rows knitwear and I have actually been surprised how bra friendly it is. Because of how the straps are constructed, you can make them thicker or thinner to your preference. It was the chunky strap/neck trim that really drew me in to the pattern, so I wasn't against making them a bit thicker. Obviously this will vary from person to person, but thought that I'd throw my 5 cents in the mix!

      Yes! I’m drawn to the sop top for that same reason 😀 it’s certainly an exception in the bunch! Thanks for watching and joining the convo 🥰

    Hi Emily, May I please ask what hair products you use? I have naturally curly hair, like you. When I blow it out it holds very well as does yours. I love how your soft curls look. Thanks 😊

    • @highfiberknits
      @highfiberknits  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the compliment! I typically follow a method I believe is called LOC that stands for lotion oil cream. Essentially I layer in that order of thinnest to thickest product and let my hair air dry. The products themselves change up often, but I’m always ensuring I have argan and coconut oils in the mix!

    Hi what is the red marled tank on your video cover pictures for this video,I don’t see it?, thanks, I think you might have mentioned it in passing, but I have looked and can’t find it thanks, Melissa😊

    • @highfiberknits
      @highfiberknits  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Melissa! If you follow the link for Rows Knitwear in the description, it should help you find the Sol Top! I did forget to mention it in the video, but it is certainly the most undergarment friendly pattern in that trend category 😄

  • @TheMartixi

    I've also had my doubts about these trapezoid shape tops, but Sophie from the_knit_purl_girl is including instruction for double knitted straps to make her cami more bra straps friendly

      @HaydenHaystackArts ปีที่แล้ว

      What time?

    • @highfiberknits
      @highfiberknits  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely not! This video is meant to be fun, and I am careful to say it’s based only on what I see on my own social media. Of course, the knitting community was already dynamic prior to Instagram, but on the other side of this coin, Instagram is one of the only ways some knitters participate in the community. I mostly meant that instagram influences the folks who engage with it. Never intending to exclude anyone intentionally!
