It’s about what tire and suspension you have.
A solid axle 4 link car with drag radials run over 100% anti squat. They actually separate and plant the drag radial. They control how hard it plants by moving the instant center of the suspension and then fine tune with the shocks.
A drag slick likes a lot less anti squat. This is where you see cars more cars “squatting”.
Although most “squat” you see is a illusion because the front of the car is lifting, making it look like the rear is squatting

Congrats!!! The new supra is officially LEGIT. All that BMW bs people were blabbing about turns out to be a great thing. The biggest issue is that it only comes with one trans option. Great job going all out with this build for the world to see what the car can do with stock internals!!!

Adam if you take out all the excess fuel in the tank you could save yourself another 90 pounds! Cant find the stats for Ignite but E85 weighs 6.6ILB/gal and the supra tank is 13.7 gal. The first pass was made with more than 3/4 tank! Every little helps right!

@ Very wrong actually, Toyota went through the whole thing. Including taking that BMW engine down to the last bolt to have it built up to Toyota spec, and its not like the Germans did a bad job in the first place. meaning BMW might have provided the base but it is very much build up to that even higher JDM Toyota spec. As such making it one in my book.

@@Ltbookum yeahhhhh I don't think Toyota really did much. They provided the body and rebadged parts, possibly altered interior (I haven't spent enough time in the Supra to compare). They didn't completely rehaul the motor, or transmission, or interior afaik, or the electronics. The door chime is literally identical to the BMW chime, for Christ's sake. BMW had the dominant Genes when the MkV was conceived.
(I don't know why people still argue about the Supra, or even CARE. No matter what your car brand loyalty is, lol, the fact is Toyota and BMW both make incredible machines- even today still- when they put effort into it. The Supra had that effort put in, I believe)

Adam, you were making passes in limp mode. You can see the wrench icon on the infotainment center. I was doing a run the other night and went to do a burn out, this same icon came on. I did the run and noticed the car was oddly slow. I restarted the car and it cleared the issue, made a pass and it was back to normal

I think that’s currently being developed by several companies for it to actually work correctly with the Supra, the BMW tunes are pretty close from what I understand but not entirely the same.
