In Florida everything can be a daily. This car wouldn't go through inspection at all here. Which is once a year.

The way to also save an automatic transmission is to reduce slip when changing gears. So adding more pressure to the plates faster will make harder shifts faster but also more harsh. But it reduces the heat by reducing the slip in the clutch packs. However this has a downside as other things of course can break like the diff, the driveshaft, output shafts etc. Also one thing always forgotten is when you add a converter with a higher stall you can also induce more heat because it slips more until it hooks. Normally even this higher stalls come with a converter clutch. So use it wisely and as soon as possible to completely reduce slip in the torque converter and also reduce heat. Using the torque converter clutch ties the drive-train completely together . Sometimes it feels like an extra gear when it engages. I know a lot of guys who use no TCC on the drag strip but this makes only sense for this 400m. On a street car racing and driving it using the the TCC is important. I don't know if the supra has an additional cooler for the transmission fluid. Most of OEM just route it through the water cooler of the engine and call it a day but for a car like this I would add an additional cooler in Line to the existing to even reduce the temps even more. My experience is to stay way below 190°F for an auto trans to save the clutches and oil from cooking.
Might need some solid motor mounts, that's a lot of movement.

Is normal, stock does almost the same, the mounts are vacum controled, with oil inside, nothing wrong.

@@1216jimmyz hydrologic. controled by vacum, is very normal on bmw stuff, on idlle the motor mount go very soft, and when you start drive the mount start to go hard. Is normal thing of bmw.

What I believe is quite amazing in terms of how far we've come in the automotive world, is that hearing such numbers as 700hp has us all jaded. We don't marvel at such numbers anymore, and I believe that says a lot. However, most people have no idea how to control 300hp, let alone 700hp.

A torque converter Automatic still works by closing and releasing clutches but not to connect and disconnect to the drive train, but for changing the gears themselfs

WOT puts bout 5x the heat into the trans fluid vs cruise, there is a chart that shows as temps increase trans life goes down. A trans Temp gauge would be good idea to monitor it n keep in a safe range.

A lot of people don't understand modern ECU calibration/controls concepts. Today's ECU are Torque Based; so unless the Driver Demand table and torque parameters/surfaces are increased, the ECU will continue to clip the torque/power the engine is making.

You should put a full length titanium or stainless steel exhaust on it if it's a daily driver. Do some runs at the track with the bottom dump but I wouldn't leave it like that. A car that retains stock features but makes a lot of power is more impressive than something that's chopped up that doesn't have a cohesive theme to it.
