- This mission crashed a lot. As such, I had to splice together a few different attempts.
Changing the ship's energy and damage settings seemed to trigger an "insert CD" bug.
Other than those problems, this is one of the better missions in the game.
The Vanguard survived and became Section 31
Nah, even Section 31 was not as reckless or as stupid as the Vanguard.

The sun serpents sounds is so relaxing that I can listen to forever. Would prevent me from warping to the sun and just go the long way by just flying over to the sun.

And it looks much better than what JJ wanted to have, but, fortunately, never did. Best Gorn I've seen in this game.
@TheJoker7392 Horrifying? I was obsessed with the noise when I was a kid and love hearing it even to this day. I even recorded it so I could hear it whenever I wanted too. Most of it is from a whale but modified to sound scarier.
Now as for the Gorn, I nearly fell backwards out of my chair and I spat out my drink [but luckly not on the screen] in suprise. I was shocked at how awesome the Gorn design looked. I had expected something less professional and more cheap looking.
I remember this mission used to creep me out... Maybe it was the sounds lol
mab12802 I have vivid memories of my dad playing this and me hearing the sounds and being petrified. I can't put my finger on why, but I distinctly remember that.
Sulu always had that in his back pocket, that way he could change his tone from one word to the next, usually when using someone's first name.
Reminds me of the noises the boss monsters made in the original Legend of Zelda.

The best part is there is no sound in space XD even so it was my first cd game
It was a scripted event, so I don't even know if repairing sensors would help. Maybe I tried it once a long time ago and forgot to do it this time around.
When in doubt, tractor the Bird of Prey and fire torpedoes at it when it cloaks.
Never got through this one, to the point that I lost interest in the game.
I remember the crashes.
@TheJoker7392 I'm going to rerecord it tomorrow. I got some new sound editing/recording software and it'll sound a lot better than my old recording of it.

The phasers sound so wrong, and they're fired as individual blaster shots. :(

Oh man... I remember my dad playing this when I was little. The noises the sun creature made scared the shit out of me when I was little
I imagine it's something similar to how you can "hear" the Thatgoids in Elite: Dangerous.
