    • @manuelgogeissl
      @manuelgogeissl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It depends on track conditions and especially on fuel level and tyres. Just watch a youtube video of a record time trial lap and try to remember the braking points. These are the latest braking points and when you have more fuel, harder tyres or worn tyres you brake earlier. You definitely have to drive some laps to find your braking point depending on your fuel level.

    • @MarcelKiefer
      @MarcelKiefer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      Can make that but it really varies a lot during wets/inters and dry - fuel load and tire age also matters :)

      @@MarcelKiefer Je kürzer die Renndistanz desto weniger Einfluss haben ja Faktoren wie Reifen, Reifenabnutzung, Spritmenge. Nimmt man mal an das die meisten Spieler nicht mehr als 25% Renndistanz fahren grenzt das doch schon mal einiges ein. Wenn du darauf ausgerichtet Videos für jede Strecke machst, haben diejenigen die längere Distanzen fahren, wenigstens einen guten Anhaltspunkt.

    Danke für das hilfreiche Video Marcel. Tatsächlich hab ich heute sehr hart mit F1 2021 gekämpft. Konnte nicht gut aus den Kurven beschleunigen, ständige Dreher, oft war ich dann so ängstlich und sanft auf dem Gaspedal, dass ich Unmengen an Zeit verloren hab. Und durch dein Video hier glaube ich, hab ich die Ursache dafür gefunden: ich fokussiere mich nicht auf den Kurven Scheitelpunkt und treffe ihn somit auch nicht und kann somit nicht Clean aus der Kurve beschleunigen. Also nochmals vielen Dank!

    The weird thing for me is, I do just fine learning circuits without racing lines in any other sim/racing game. Somehow I can't get it right in F1 games, no matter if it's a circuit I know or not, I always play with all assists off, but in F1 I just can't get it right for some bizarre reason.

    my setup is not mounted, wheelbase is tilting slightly left by the time (I always reset its position during races), since I have nothing to mount my pedals, I extracted the spongy thing from the back of the brake pedal (conclusively I have no resistance on braking), my pedals are travelling the room during races, I am playing through a laptop (15" screen, wheel + wheelbase + laptop case puts the screen 1.5mt from my eyes, due to the perspective difference, when I hold my phone in my hand, the screen is larger than my PC's practically).
    I am only using 2D corners only racing line despite the fact that I don't want to use.
    so, can these things prevent me from being competitive enough or am I being drama queen?

    • @MarcelKiefer

    Also mit Linie bin ich meistens ca 1-1,2sek langsamer als eSports. Außer in Dschidda. Da kann ich aus welchem Grund auch immer vieeeel besser performen als auf anderen Strecken. Habe schon oft versucht ohne Linie klarzukommen, allerdings gebe ich oft nach 5 Runden auf... Ich hasse es wenn man (viel) langsamer fährt als man eigentlich fahren könnte... Das ist wie damals in der Schule. Die ersten 2 Strophen eines Gedichts auswendig lernen geht oft klar, doch den Rest kann man sich oft nur deutlich schwerer merken 🙄. Quasi wie im Spiel. Der erste Sektor einer Strecke funktioniert meist ganz gut und alles andere endet in purer Frustration 😅😂

    My personal tip is play a race starting from midfield or back on ai level a tiny bit higher then usual and just follow them around the track, soon you will get used to it and will be looking for the best braking points to overtake which are usually on the limit to where you brake and just dial a few meters back on a normal lap to find your ideal braking point/ turning point ( I play on kb but hope this helps )

      the way i learned it is i drove behind ai, then as i got better i started overtaking ai and driving on my own in clean air. later i sharpened those skills in time trial. now i'm confortable with every braking point of every track. but not just that, i learned how to stabilize the car in the hard braking zone, how to transfer weight safely without spinning, how to put power on throttle gently, how to engine brake, trail brake, how to make a use of upshifts in slow corners, etc. now with all those skills i can jump into iracing or acc and have a go with any car i like without too much struggle. once you learn it, you realize remembering braking zones is easy, it's handling the car at high speeds that has been an issue all along.

      @@MarcelKiefer das hoffe ich doch bald sehr😊 wäre halt gut wenn du ein deutsches video hättest, wie die bremspunkte sich im laufe des rennens ändern, wegen Abnutzung und so. Mich baut es ein wenig ab, da ich die pace eigentlich habe, es aber ohne linie sehr schwer ist, geschweige denn zu wenig zeit habe....da wäre ein Video von dir doch sehr hilfreich. Bleib stabil 👌

    The esports challange in Hungary forces me to disable the racing line. I wanted to be in the top 100. But my time was 30 sek to slow. But now! I can drive Hungary with 0 ABS , no tracktion controll and no racing line. Racing line on -> to slow

    Chill mal Marcel. Jeden Bremspunkt für jede Strecke unter allen Bedingungen wäre zu viel verlangt. Ist so wie du gesagt hast "Muss jeder für sich selbst herausfinden". Das Angeln kann man den Leuten beibringen. Den Fisch fangen müssen sie schon selber ;)

    Great tutorial! ❤
    Only one note tho: for turn 1 I would actually use where the kerb starts as a reference because somebody could destroy the 50 meter board and leave me without reference. And that applies to all destructable object actually - I try to avoid using them, even if they are very convinient most of the time 🙂
