New Apartments for Less than $300 a Month in Korea! Budget Villas

  • Turned off by the older apartments we decided to see how much newer apartments in Korea cost. We heard "Villa" category apartments were the best budget option in Korea as they do not have a common area HOA fee. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that internet, tv, and water is included for free in the rent. So we were blown away to find new Villas available for less than 300 USD! Only if the US dollar wasn't so weak lately it would be around 250 USD. Now we know how affordable housing can be in Korea, stay tuned as Tad goes for another round of apartment hunting. These apartments were a bit too small for his needs so we will be looking at 2 and 1.5 bedrooms next for our budget apartment tour series in Korea. What kind of homes would you like us to checkout next?

      We will have more videos. I also make it a point to put prices. Honestly the biggest variable is food and you will see it's affordable. it's not like the States where we have a lot of overhead costs like insurance, etc etc etc. Health insurance here is around 70usd and i pay around a few dollars for copay everytime i visit the doctor for an issue. Drug prices are low but that's honestly everywhere but America. As for utilities internet is super cheap and fastest in the world. Electricity and gas are about the same as the states and water and trash is not charged in these types of places. Idk what other costs there would be? My parents were literally living off 500 USD a month at first. Also you can buy a car for like 1500 bucks like tad and insurance is only like 500 bucks a year which is not something you can do in se asian countries cause the luxury taxes are like 100 percent plus

      Who pays the agent? The landlord or the tenant?

    • @skitakaujou
      @skitakaujou ปีที่แล้ว

      Normally 3bed Condo outskirt of Gyeonggi province(l hour from Seoul) or small city is 500$ ~ 800$ depending on deposit. You should pay deposit 100k$~200k$ and bring it back when you out. If it is highrise apartment it is more expensive.Tenant pays for agent. Its less than $1000.
      Living cost for 1 person is $1300 (basic) and $1700 for 2 person. Food in restaurant is half price of the USA.

    • @kristinesharp6286

      @@HinDoongEe they are criminals. The tutor was trying to kill the man in the basement. The man in the basement was not killed on the lawn in Self Defence. They murdered his wife, kept him hostage and the tutor kid was coming with a rock to kill them. The original man in the basement was the cause of the little boy’s issues and seuizures. No indication he got to the hospital in time while his father was being murdered for wanting his own car keys to get him there. And the daughter who had just been sexually harassed in her own bedroom carried out the perpetrator tutor who just bleeding to death while his parent was murdering hers. The actual hero of the film the rich minor daughter. And no praise for her at the end of the film or what happened to her other than her father murdered and the family moved. Not everyone needs to live in Seoul. 40 million don’t. Lots of places with stars and lawn. It’s not like honest employment was keeping them there. Even under communism someone gets the basement apartment and another a single family house detached ground level with a garden.

We're just bleeding money in the states. If you own property, the 1.5 percent or so we pay a year is also ridiculous. None of that in Asia. You pay taxes in the beginning or the end but not during cause that means you'll eventually pay the whole value of the property or twice the initial price of the condo to the government cause they also keep increasing the appraisal. Of all the things Americans should be united in protesting, that's what I would start with

    I would definitely go with the jhunsae type of deal👍. Typically when do they return your deposit money? When getting one of these units do they do repairs asap? Bus service nearby? How come my wife says Korea expensive now?🤣🤣🤣

      Yup bus stop right next to it but unfortunately this area the buses only come every 30 minutes to an hr I hear. The repairs are super quick here from my experience like everything else cause Koreans are the most impatient people in the world. I think the only thing that's expensive in Korea are the apartments in the super expensive areas. But in reality no reason to live there as a retiree cause you don't need to work there. The newer cities around Seoul are better planned, newer, and transportation into the city for sight seeing is easy. Since it's gentrified you also have the same restaurants and shops everywhere in Korea. I think it's a common misconception. It is however expensive to live a showoffy lifestyle however cause there are huge luxury taxes. But if you are a simple guy like we are, just need a comfortable place to stay, great food, and great medical care, you can't beat it for the price anywhere in the world I think.
