People need to realize that making music is a great pastime that helps your brain and state of mind. Enjoy what your doing but realize that making the big leagues is not a reality for most people. Its a good escape from the drama and stress of the everyday world and better than watching tv or playing videogames.
there is no magic potion to beat making. the key is just honing and perfecting ones craft. If one stays true to that eventually success will come. It's like the stock market, gotta play the long game.
Kontrol beats gave me the idea to give this music producing a shot . I used to make music for with my and iv always been very interested in guitar sounds and the mix of metal music . I feel the same energy with trap . So I thank control beats for keeping my mind busy and setting this little side hustle and hobby up and I thankyou 2 for all your knowlege I'm digesting .
that is a double edge sword. You can make your intro long but you gotta make sure your beat is on point cause if it's not, you are pissing off a lot of people lol
Either an instrunental moves a listener, inspires rapping or singing or it doesn't. Music is audio emotions . An intro doesn't inspire vocals on the spot
If you're making a beat that can stand by itself then you can pretty much do what you want but if you're making a beat for someone to rap or sing on you have to follow a certain structure.
I've always made beats with longer intros despite everyone telling me not too. I've had so many people say things like... "You don't want the audience to get bored and leave your video" in regards to why I shouldn't have longer intros than usual." I never listened to their advice though because the songs that I typically fall in love with, usually have longer intros that build up to the drop and also allows suspense. You can have your beat start off with some ambience, slower, only a piano and maybe some percussion (or whatever).. and when the beat drops, you bring EVERYTHING in and it slaps you in the face! #MISTA808
Don't forget to press some vinyl. Most big music people I know are vinyl junkies. That is where the serious fans and go. Streaming doesn't pay well. Live shows and licensing ae the real money.

So needed to get that out there. Cz the beats I have used in life I gave less watch time. The ones I gave watchtine I was loooing them to decide
One critic about Kontrol is that he is spamming and repeating the same thing already mentioned thousand of times on every single video he posts only because of the success he got from his main account, almost giving the illusion that everyone one can follow the same path.
That’s insane to me that long intros (30-40secs) will work since our attention spans have gotten worse overtime. I’m not even an artist and I find myself skipping songs if the drop takes too long plus since artists listen to so many beats I wouldn’t expect them to spend too much time hearing an intro.
I guess it only works if the intro evolves in some way. If you just slap the main part of the beat right away, it's like it's all heard already. A longer intro, if made interesting, would keep the tik tok attention span engaged.
A&Rs want short intros 😂 that’s what I found out from an A&R in person weeks ago They know music so if they skip when it’s to long „unless“ you are drake or Timbaland it will work all the time because people know them well Ok maybe if it worked out for some people, but if we are on the listeners side maybe we will understand

Yep, that happens too, which is why TH-cam numbers don’t always matter. A lot of low viewed beats sell and highly viewed beats don’t sell

Your target audience won’t necessarily be young folks who are used to TikTok
