This was/is an excellent explanation of this Amp. I bought it back in 2017, its sat in my closet and now I'm finally using it. Also when I bought it it was 500 dollars now I see it at 700. Everything has gone up in price. Here watching this video 2022 June.
I can't understand why no one is selling this guitar new anymore. Not on Amazon. Not on Guitar Center, although the Marshall website says they do. That must be an error, as neither of the Guitar Centers locally have or sell them and neither does the Guitar Center website. Strange. Anyone know of a source since it's apparent that Marshall doesn't sell it on their own website.
@Hrcak1 0 seconds ago I’m playing only front of family and few friends. I don’t want use pick up, just microphone for singing and acoustic guitar. That means I need two microphones. Any advice, acoustic amp or PA and which one? Many thanks.
leo one I prefer the newer D version. While I can dial in the same sound, the phantom power added to the second channel is the biggest and best improvement. I also find the DI feature great, especially when you want to use the amp as a monitor. I initially replaced my R model with a Fender Acoustasonic (mainly because it was lighter for this old man) but kept it for a week only. I much prefer the AS50s. Cheers.
Hi, can I plug a small Mixer table on the Phono input? My idea is to connect a bass and 2 voices to the mixer and then connect the mixer to the channel 2 phono input. can this be done without damage the amp?
Hi there, thanks for checking out our review. We hope we understand your question properly. Mic input is on channel 2 and is controlled by channel 2 as well. The mic audio comes out the speakers of the amp. This can be mixed with channel 1 (your acoustic guitar) like a P.A. for practice or gig. Mic could be for vocal or a mic source on your guitar to get a different sound from the guitar.
Great review guys😊i was silly and bought and paid for one thinking it had distortion !oops!haha!could you guys recommend a pedal i can use to get me Rockin?thanks
Congratulations on your new amp! There are many ways you can go when it comes to distortion pedals. The boss distortion pedals are very popular. The Ibanez tube screamer is coveted yet many times are layered with other pedals. There are small amp modeler pedals by Line 6 and boss that focus on preamp models, amp tones and speaker modeling with many options. Have fun researching. We are sure you will find something great.
Hi Paul. Thanks for checking out our review. The "D" model replaced the "R" model. Upgrades are as follows on the "D" model: All FX are digital including chorus and reverb, Improved tweeter, phantom power available for mic input. This is a great sounding acoustic amp. We are sure you'll dig it!

Hi Peter, That is an awesome comment. I guess we are teenagers at heart when it comes to music gear. We enjoy music and everything that goes with it. Thanks for checking out our review.
I got this Amp as a present to myself for Christmas. It works so well with my Godin A6 Ultra and Yamaha Silent guitar!
Congratulations!
Don’t we all love presents for ourselves 🤣🤣

GREAT REVIEW BUT I WISH YOU GUYS WOULD HAVE
PLUGGED IN A MIC AND DEMOED BOTH FUNCTIONS
It's a solid vocal amp.
I own one of these. It sounds fine. The chorus is surprisingly good.
I live in some 3rd world universe where venues often don’t have a house PA, so I picked this up!

Just bought my second AS50D, though my first one was the AS50R. Lovin’ it!

Can the 100D do two guitars, two microphones simultaneously for two performers?
Yes

Great video! Does this amp work well with Slapping, Tapping and Popping on a J-45 standard (LR Baggs Element VTC pickup)? Thanks!
I hear this is the most versatile amp for the money
Good review guys, looking at buying one!!!

Go easy on the bass.
Hi, where is the microphone sound? Pls
Unfortunately we did not plug a condenser mic in for the video review. The mic does very well on channel 2. Thanks for checking us out!

Does anyone know or has anyone tried playing an electric guitar using this amplifier and then how did it sound?
Fender Acoustasonic 150 has a channel for both acoustic and electric guitars.
Thank you
Difference between the 50D and the 50R model?
The XLR input have a Phantom Power assistence (48V) ?
Thanks for watching our video review. Yes the XLR input does have phantom power.

How does the vocal sound on this one?
Big. It's why I bought this model. The Laney A-Duo may be a better guitar amp though.

No demo on the mic.? Why not. Must not be good for vocals?
