@Paresh Patel I read two books regarding that 7 years before. Bhutan is the first country which officially recognize Bangladesh. USA has sent 7th fleet and Soviet Union has sent 7th fleet in retaliation towards bay of Bengal. Soviet Union has vetoed twice for Bangladesh in UN. And Indira Gandhi was visiting continuously for the support for Bangladesh and was standing for Bangladesh like a iron lady. That's why Bangladeshis love her so much and Russia , Bhutan and India are Bangladesh's close friends. As for other countries, if Bangladesh doesn't maintain a relationship, then Bangladesh will have to stop relationship with almost everyone. Every country works for their self interest. Bangladesh is not different. Even India has a good relationship with UK(the previous colonizer) or South korea are so close to Japan.

Great episode sir. Proud to be Indian and Hindu. As a kid always wondered why we should invest in army so much when our first aim should be to eradicate poverty and equal life for all. But now understand how much our army sacrifices to save our nation 🙏 I recently read 3 million Hindus in East Pakistan were killed during March to December 1971. Women were subjected to extreme violence. The statistics and incidents left me numb. Indian army helped liberation for Bangladesh and our Hindu brothers and sisters sacrificed their lives there, but how are Hindus treated in Bangladesh today? Something to ponder.

Before partition of India, Manekshaw and Yahya Khan (President of Pakistan during 1971 war) were friends and on the staff of Field Marshall Sir Claude Auchinleck. Sam Manekshaw owned a red James motorcycle, which Yahya had an eye on. He offered to buy the motorcycle for Rs. 1000. Manekshaw agreed to sell the motorcycle. Partition happened and Yahya took the motorcycle to Pakistan, never paying the thousand rupees he owned to Sam Manekshaw. After the Instrument of Surrender was signed on 16 December 1971, Gen. Sam Manekshaw was heard saying, “Yahya never paid me the Rs. 1,000 for my motorbike, but now he has paid with half his country.” Sam Bahadur had a wicked sense of humour 😂

" It definitely gives you an insight that how Pakistan as a nation thinks.

1: India after 1971 did not had to worry about East any further as pakistan was gone.
2: Wars stopped after 1971 event in this region as this made indian opponents understand that India was a force to reckon with, thus bringing peace for india.
3: Indians got a sense of pride which was at all time low because of loss of 1962

As a Pakistani I disagree with you. After winning 1971 war India weakened Pakistan created Bangladesh and achieved its military objectives. Similarly, if Pakistan have won whole of Kashmir ( even excluding Ladakh) in 1948 Kashmir war it would have solved the problem of Kashmir once for all. As Pakistan was unable to achieve it's military objective due to irregular and disorganized Pathans volunteers (valiant fighters no doubt) fighting against a superior enemy (British trained, battle hardened( world war 2 veterans) highly disciplined Indian Army.
