Here's a meta tip: Alisa players are used to having a lot of plus moves and good approach tools. Use strings that result in counter hit or knock down on them a lot and I guarantee you you'll catch her pressing. Trust me, many Alisa in the low to mid ranks don't know what defense means. Even in the higher tier ranks where I am I encounter a lot of Alisa's who lack fundamentals.
Hey, thats me! Today got promoted to Tekken King rank while having ~55 defense in stats and 92 offense. Its sad cuz this game promotes offense and Alisa is offense maestro, so i never had a reason to learn defensive play.
@@MaryushXXVIII man i hate versing players like you who are high rank but have shitty defense. You just mash the entire 3 rounds. I never rematch people who have less than 70 defense. Its more fun versing players with good defense
Watching this out of curiosity since I play Alisa. I think you should revisit the chainsaw section. You didn’t mention her hellsweep from dual boot which hard counters people sidestepping the mid option.
Some additions: if you failed to launch/float b3+4 on block (on reaction), you can still sidestep + launch the followup. All u3 long range mid kick followups (u3,2) can be interrupted. Requires a move with high hitbox. u3 on block to boot is not a mixup. Interrupt it for a float combo.
good explanation for chainsaws. I hope less ppl bitch about it (alisa main). I may add my go-to strategy when facing another alisa (the simple way for beginner/intermediate) no heat chainsaws: simply stand guard until she uses a move thats - on block (which are most), then jab her out or punish even harder. worst case scenario is eating a low that pushes you back (backdash and play keepout) or you eat her other low, that will get her out of chainsaws on its own. not worse than any other mixup situation with a lot of stances in T8. heat chainsaws: use the options you mentioned, take a risk. if you dont, she will kill you with chipdmg. taking 1-2 risks and maybe get hit is better than getting 40% of your health deleted for blocking. tl;dr: nonheat, wait for - frames, heat, be aggressive, take a risk
Depends on Alisa player. Some only press plus on block moves. f1, f1+2 or d1. You can of course gradually backdash out of these, especially after f1+2 the pushback is quite big. But if you wait for a minus on block move, that might never come. First you have to prove that you either sidestep or interrupt. Then Alisa is forced to use their other options (minus on block mids). But it’s all about the opponent.
@@StasionSpasskiin T7 chainsaws were considered fair because Alisa had to either land a punisher (all high ender strings that could be duck launched) or a slow full crouch sweep (needs conditioning) to enter chainsaws. Now she can enter with f2,1 and u2 and running 2 too. In T7 backdash was a viable strat against chainsaws. There was no chip damage and Alisa could not forward dash in chainsaws to chase you. She simply pressed 1-3 buttons in chainsaws and exited it manually. This was a fair reward for landing a punisher.
@@MaryushXXVIII my point exactly im in the TGS ranks and every alisa i come across has the same gameplan unless you going against buffy lag master or cuddly you should be able to read them
sidestep chest; hwoarang has stances that change whether his back is facing toward the camera or away from the camera, and generally you want to sidestep whatever direction his chest is facing

I didn't realize dash is how we combat the immediate reaction dodging, that's going to help me universally.
I love your content, and i have to say doing away with the robovoice was a good choice :)
Great video. Finally someone who got the sidestep strategy right.
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SOOOOO LONGHH THANK YOUUUUUUU

fought a 38 defense tekken emperor alisa that 2-0'd me i hate her!!
Great and perfectly in-depth as always :)
Really great guide, time to lab her! As always, thanks a bunch for your work 😊
As a Alisa main I must study this so I can counter their counters 😅
I like your own human voice over your AI one, good vid keep it up
Sick! Thanks senpai
just fellow that Alisa player thanks for the guide

good as always.Well done solder
3:56 if your character has a hop kick you can also launch her if she tries to go for that(I learned that the hard way)

Could you make a guide for every character? Im trying to improve and this helps very nice
could you do more training drills? these dont help me as much as them. thanks for the great content as always!
Thank you

I cannot imagine having so little respect for myself to ever say something like "I'm a Leo/Alisa main" and I'm homeless at the moment
@@noobslayer1196 guess youre in a tough spot then. hope that comment makes you feel better, best of luck to you ;o
No, people should keep complaining about her chainsaws until a proper counterplay is implemented.

Thanks for the video. Maybe one of Law, Lee or Leo next?
The L trinity
Leo has already been done, to my dismay (am a Leo main).
very good video
My content goat 🐐
Good video 👍
Anti yoshimitsu next please
please keep doing anti guides
Good vid
Super vid! Thanks
Any chance of a ling vid next?
alisa easily counterable literally none of her moves track just side step and you would dominate
Yeah dunno why so many ppl say that she should be nerfed. This + lot of her moves are aerial so you can just do a counter jab to do mini combo

Yo this is a dumbass question but the sidestep chart is it my left or their left I’m sidestepping lol
Sidestep left means step to your left. Better to ask than not know 👊
your left, all the learning materials stating SSl, will mean your left
Left = go clockwise. Right = go anti-clockwise.
No Reina💜👑😢
Great video. Hate Alisa
First
Make one for Ling, holy shit such an annoying character.
Not going to lie that AI voice was hitting different and I hate AI voices
I miss the AI voice. It genuinely gave your channel something unique
Agreed
No, every channel has that AI voice. Original human voice wins

Can you ad the AI voice back to your videos please? It has more life to it than your monotone voice.
I think both are great
A horrible take. Any AI voice makes video 10 times worse to listen to. I prefer his real voice
Respectfully no.
His real voice is lovely and real
Unlike AI, which is cool and hilarious, but lacks warmth
What made you think you should say this? In what scenario does anything happen in your favor as a direct result of that stupidity?
