That's a project I've been meaning to do. When it comes to fishing poles, too many is barely enough. On a funny note, you needed a wider angle camera so we could see that graceful landing. :)

Your rod holder looks awesome! Mine is a 1x6 screwed into the bottom side of my rafter with the wide flat side parallel to the floor and rafters. I cut slots about 1/8 inch wide about 1 inch long into the 1x6. I hang the rods hanging down by one of the eyes. I just slide the rod into the slot and the eye catches and holds the rod secure. I mounted the 1x6 in a back corner that was basically not being used so as not to take up space that was needed for other things. I never counted how many rods are hanging on my rack, but probably between 80 and a 100. Unfortunately, they are all way too dusty!!!
That is a good idea how you did yours, especially if you have an area that is unused anyway. It sounds like it works well to just hang them from the tip guide....Thanks!
