Mercedes did a great job offering the CLA 35 at a relatively affordable price. The CLA 45 AMG is a "true" AMG from most people's perspective since it has a handcrafted engine. But which would you choose amongst the A 35, CLA 35, CLA 45, or C 43 AMG? Leave your thoughts below.

Do you have any issues with yours at all? How many miles do you have?
@@JWard2 still have it now. Only single issue I had was that the electric seats controls stopped working after an update, but that was fixed under warranty at the dealer 😀
Still love the car till this day.

What’s the difference between the CLA 35 premium v the premium plus?
How comprable are the CLA35 and C43 on fuel economy? As far as I can sell the speed and acceleration aren’t far off equal, 0.4s in it?

@@MeynMotorGroup I ordered my CLA close to a year ago. Finally going to collect it in 15 hours from now. Got really excited just thinking about it. Sure, it isn’t the full AMG model but I optioned the shit out of it. I’ll get the AMG model one day!

I’ve been looking at the 2022 CLA45S, how much smaller is this compared to the 214 Lexus GS350?
Aside from the reliability compared to Lexus, how is the driving experience compared to that car?
Honestly I prefer driving the GS to this just feels like a more complete driving experience this is perfect more benz lovers. CLS 53 was amazing and worth the upgrade but costs like 90k

Oh wow only 42k and paid off yea man that's a keeper and I know you may be wanting for a change but trust me the GS 350 F sport is that good of a driving experience it's hard for the price to do better than that car, it just never gets credit from media and reviewers

How were the head rests with these seats? They don't look adjustable and you like to sit up properly, like me -- which sometimes pushes the head forward more than it should be. Thanks!

When you say, 'obviously, you do have to use premium fuel', is there a reason for this? will normal fuel not do the job just as well?

How has it been going for you man?
I’m looking to upgrade soon but unsure of what to go for between the 35 and the 45 S. Also here in the UK.
I feel silly looking at spending £700+ per month on the 45 S considering it’s unlikely I’ll ever get its full power etc. whereas £580 ish on the 35 for much more usable power seems more sensible.
With them being pretty similar on running costs and everything else, just being very different on acceleration and top end, I’m just not sure what to go for.
@@jordanhughes3137 Well, I ended up going for the 45s. The 35 was delayed for 7 months whicvh gave me the time to save for a bigger deposit.
I watched a whole bunch of reviews and a lot of them said that the 45s is a different animal compared to the 35. Its an absolute blast to drive nut it depends on whether you want the extra performance over the 35. I do find myself getting the full power out of it when its late or I'm on some back roads. Other than performance though I just love the grill on the 45 and the extra body kit looks amazing. Drift mode (although most wont use) was really fun to do as well even if it did chew my tyres up 😆
@@K1RAN66 hey man, thank you! I live in an area with quite extensive back roads so that sounds interesting….and I feel the same way. The overall look of the 45 S is just incredible, it is a different animal (although I’d very rarely drift too!).
I’m in a similar predicament where I’m haven’t been too sure which to opt for based on value for money & usability. It won’t be a daily car, I’d more than likely drive it 2-3 times per week. Maybe do about 150 miles etc.
May I ask, did you opt for a lease? The best I’m seeing currently is around £717/month with a £5k deposit, for 36 months. I’d be interested in using the company you’re with if it’s better!
@@jordanhughes3137 I use mine a similar amount, 2 - 3 times a week since working from home. It is expensive but it gives me so much joy, its worth it to me.
No, I went for the PCP option but I put a fair bit donw as deposit. If I remember correctly, when I enquired originanlly with a £5k deposit, it was above £700 a month and that was for 48 months! I just went with mercedes benz finance because with a bigger deposit, I got it down below £500 a month which is my limit (but I did put a large deposit down).
Is there any way you can test drive them? Check with some MB show rooms or look in to renting each one for a day? May help with your decision :)

That’s a great deal for 48 months too, definitely more reasonable to me. £500 or below is insanely good bro, congrats for getting such a better deal! £700+ still seems steep to me even though the car is stunning, fast and prestigious. It’s not a small chunk of change.
That sounds interesting, I can definitely chat to my current dealership (I’ve got the last generation A250 AMG at the moment). That could work out nicely as I may be able to put my car down as a deposit and easily shave off half of the cost over 36 months.
A test drive would be awesome, I can chat to the dealership for sure. Or rent for a day, it’d be worth it to see how they feel!
I know it’s not a car you buy for great MPG, but how are you finding it with the fuel insanity at the moment?

I love CLA 45 s
I loved mine but it was declared a lemon after a year due to multiple faulty injectors, cylinder head replacement twice, and ecu problems
It is a nice looking car Kevin, but my only issue with the CLA is that it is so similar looking with the CLS. I just wished the CLS looked different than what they did for the new model, then the CLA would have a much better stand out. At the moment, I feel that they made a mini- CLS to me. And that is the problem I have with MB - the C Class looks like an E Class and S Class it is quite hard to differentiate the shapes. The old series were better for my preference. The other issue I have is that the interior is looking identical for all MB models and I am not a fan of the 2 flat screens behind the wheel...

For $57K, I would rather have a loaded Genesis G70 with the 3.3TT V6 if I am being honest. The refreshed version.
The CLA is a huge improvement over it's predecessor though.

Just traded in my 2020 BMW 330i for a 2023 CLA 43 AMG. Have to break in the engine before i have some fun. But this cars fun to drive!

Personally I prefer BMWs, I have a 3 series now. However with the current lineup from both these German brands, I’d be very tempted to lease a cla35. The new 2 series is NOT it. New 3 series also gives me Lexus vibes 😔

If you got for an A class go for the 35 because next year you will have a c63 with a 4 cyl as well and will be more refined if benz follows the logic ,so no point in gettin a 45.

How is the interior quality .. I found it really cheap plastic .. buttons really clicky.. seats squeaking .. and the audio even from the upgrade burmeister was horrible on the test ride !!!
Interior in entry level benzes is pretty pathetic very plasticy. Seats were fine as well as the audio system
Cargo netting pockets on the seatbacks doesn't fit with the price point. I am not a fan of cargo netting that isn't in the cargo area.

Personally I dig them. Perfect to keep small junk from flying around. I can see why ppl might not like them though.

I like seat pockets that aren't made out of netting. No problem with those, just don't like to be able to see the small junk inside, which netting allows.

@@fayahmad9063 you're 100% correct even Hyundai is out of reach for many in the United States over 50% of the population does not have $5,000 to their name I think it is less than $5k even but you can look up the statistic.
It's completely fine if one cannot afford these cars but the way people talk about these cars on the internet like their experts and like they've driven one before is unacceptable.
If a reviewer makes a claim these brandwagons don't like, they will call the reviewer an idiot despite not having any experience with any of these cars.
If people want to talk big about all these cars and McLarens and C8s and AMGs etc, I want people to take a loan out and put one on their drive way before they make another inaccurate claim on the internet
