R.I.P Mitch Lucker!

  • I really felt I needed to make this video.
This subject has been bugging the shit out of me for a long time now.
And I can not, and will not respect anyone who feels the need to walk over someones
    grave just to act tough.
You don't have to like a band, nor the person that plays in the band.
But the least you can do is either shut the fuck up or show a little respect.
And Mitch Lucker is just an example of many people who have died in the past and got mocked because people didn't like their music.
Use your brain and have some moral...
Everyone acting like a troll or as I described in the video is getting his ass kicked off my channel...without warning.

FateofTheFallenOFCL Did he have any good drumming on the most recent album? I haven't listened to the album in a bit but I swear I came away feeling like A7X experienced an immense downgrade when it came to drumming.

    • @FateofTheFallenOFCL
      @FateofTheFallenOFCL 10 ปีที่แล้ว

God, you are seriously like everyone else...arin is a good dummer, he tried throwing in fast and amazing stuff, but they didn't want that. they wanted downbeat and the way the drums are, is what they wanted as a band. he's still a very experinced drummer, if you've seen him play save me or any other songs that the rev made. They just wanted down beat drums on the album nothing to big.

Yeah, I'd much rather he be in Whitechapel. I think Eddie matches SS's sound, but he just can't do it the justice that Mitch did! I'm not relatively a fan of Mitch's vocals, but his lyrics were the fucking bomb! Eddie's kinda "dropped their stock" when it comes to lyrics

when jimmy (the rev) died i wasn't a fan of avenged sevenfold, and last year on the anniversary of his death i locked myself in my room with a box of tissues and just fucking cried.
anyone who mocks a dead person deserves to get punched in the fucking face. Hard.

  • @shireiwolfblood4408
    @shireiwolfblood4408 10 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm a huge Avenged Sevenfold fan. Even though i became a fan after The Rev died i still felt immense pain and sadness when my friend told me about what happened to him. Maybe not as much as the older fans but it was still there. What sucked even more was that he died on my birthday.
Ive never even listened to suicide silences music before, but Mitch was part of our community and he deserves as much respect as we should show anyone who passes away.

Much respect to you...you are 100% right. For not being a fan of the band but still paying your respects to Mitch, his family and fans means so much (you might not realize it, but it's true)...as a fan of Suicide Silence, thank you for making this video. They were a band that were always there for me (Mitch's lyrics in particular were very important to me) For someone to mock his death hurts, and I thank you for being a voice and standing up about this subject...cheers Ed!

Not a huge SS fan (they've had good songs and their new album was good) but I can respect Mitch. He was pretty influential and according to everyone who knew him, he was a really cool guy. Dave Brockie from GWAR respected him; same with Max Cavalera, Randy Blythe and even Rob motherfucking Flynn from Machine Head respected him. He sounds like a cool guy and while I wasn't a huge fan of his vocal sound, he was really chill from what I understand.

Thank you so much for this. Mitch was my inspiration since I was 12 (I'm 19) and his death really crushed me. I had to read some very disgusting things about him these days and to know there are people like you in the world makes it easier to cope with. Unfortunately he made a bad call, but it doesn't mean he didn't care for his family. His baby girl was his life. He was an alcoholic and sometimes it's way more dangerous than illegal drugs. Thanks again and I'm sorry about your father.RIP Mitch.

I am actually a big fan of Suicide Silence (at least the early stuff) i am only 17.. so when i was in 8th grade they were really big and they got me into extreme music even though i have the same taste as you Ed, I have still retained that soft spot for them.. and i think its really great and honorable to see a big name in the underground extreme metal community showing there respects to a band that constantly gets hate by metal elitist so thank you Ed for being so respectful, thoughtful and kind to the Fans of Suicide Silence (like myself and a few others that may watch your channel)!! I really like what you're talking about in this video. My mom and myself had a similar situation with my grandpa when he died. He was an alcoholic, and the most of our family just saw that and lost their respect for him cus of the things he did when drunk. It really hurts when people are saying things like that to me, because grandpa was my best friend. We had a special bond, and he drank a lot less when I was around. If only people could see that they would have a different opinion about him.

As somebody who has lost both my father and my stepfather, I must say that death really changed the way I felt about them. Whatever problems you feel are so important when they're here seem irrelevant when they're gone. Yes, my father may have left and only called me once, but he struggled, and now he's just... gone. You should NEVER use somebody's death as a form of mockery. Especially when the pain of their absence is spread out to family and friends and millions of people. Respect, Infidel. Great video.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I listen to Mainly Metal and Rock 99% of the time but as a musician and singer i often find it best to branch to other genres to improve me as a singer/musician (jazz, soul, blues, etc). When anyone dies that actually produced music.. regardless of genre or the band they were in i see it as a tragedy. I respect Mitch for what he accomplished in the music world and from personal experience i know its not easy. I took it as a blow to the metal community. R.I.P

I like and learn a lot watching your videos Ed. I also consider the respect for the people as very important fact in life and I think all people would act properly if they consider the Kant message "Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of any other, never merely as a means to an end, but always at the same time as an end". Greetings from Colombia!

A friend of mine was depressed and cutting a lot, and she went to one of their concerts and met Suicide Silence backstage. Very mature and well put point of view, Ed! What people outside the metal community don't seem to realise is that there's a LOT of respect between each other. We may not like each others sub-genres of metal but at least we have the decency to either keep our opinions to ourselves or share them without trying to offend anyone. Same goes for something like a mosh pit. You fall down, almost instantly someone will help you back up. I even saw that when I saw Cannibal Corpse...

I have heard the same disrespect from certain people in my family when my grandfather gave in to a heart attack. It escapes me how certain people can sink so low.

last year after my exams i find out my friend has cancer. this year after my exams i find out Mitch Lucker has died. why does this happen? well, im glad i decided to go see Suicide Silence last year, it was a great show and it cheered me up. Mitch grabbing my head, turning it to the left left and telling me to get the circle pit started in that direction is definitely one of the greatest moments at a concert :) Goodbye Mitch, your fans will never forget you

Ed, you are seriously a model for what some people need to act like. You have so much respect for people and I really respect you. Mitch was like my idol. I got used to metal elitists making fun of him or me for liking him and I cried quite a bit when he died. I just want to say that I'm glad that you are the way you are, a nice and friendly metalhead :')

I was one of those people who made disrespectful jokes. Needless to say there was sort of a haze about all the "emo" fans and i regret the things i said. More and more metalheads i meet like the band and i found out mitch was not a part of the whole emo thing, and that os besides the fact that it is sad whenever we lose some one in the metal community. I wish i could apologize to anyone i offended.

I agree completely. My best friend died immediatly after being hit by a car, which was driven by some drunk man. There is absolutely no respect to show for his death. I was incredibly pissed at him and sad for dying like that. If any respect is to be shown to Mitch, is respect towards the music he made and what he did for the band and perhaps for how he lived. He was a human and he made sad and stupid mistake which cost him his life and endangered others, yes, but he paid for the mistake...

You are awesome. I haven't seen any other video like this. It's either haters or people who are ranting about people who always hate on Mitch. You are what everyone should be like. Excepting of every genre of music and just mind your own business if you don't like them. I personally like Suicide Silence and the death of Mitch was sad and seeing this is great and makes me happy that even if you didn't care for the band themelves you do care if something like this happens. Thank you.

Yeah they're a ", mainstream deathcore band" as most say, but way back when I was 11, they got me into metal man, and look at me now.. Ive gotten so far. They got me screaming and got me listening to some really brutal shit like Mr. Amsterdam here. I really hope Mitch Lucker rests in peace. I was not expecting him to leave us so early. All condolences go out the family, his wife, and most especially... Kenedee

Sorry about your dad! You're one of the most respectful voice of metal! Your opinions always strike home with me, it's a shame that people can't see others as people who love what they do, rather than someone who is trying to put a stain on a genre. Music is music at the end of the day. And Suicide Silence aren't exactly my sort of metal either, but that doesn't matter in the slightest to me. A dead 28 year old will always be a dead 28 year old. Horrible news. Great video man, hail metal!

You are a true Metalhead - My go-to guy on Metal "politics" if I can use that word. Calm, collected, badass, firm on their opinion and overall respectful towards others. I cant go on a single Metal video in general [whether a member in the band has passed or not] without people fighting over trivial bullshit like another band being better, or the genre a band practices isn't to a person's liking, this or that being 'gay' - You provide an excellent example for alot of the younger chaps in the scene who are raised on the TH-cam and Facebook comments sections to make better decisions and make an example of what Metalheadery[?] is really about - Unity. Much love, Infidel. Live long and prosper

God..damn, its so sad, I wish I could personally give my condolences to his wife, even though It probably wouldn't mean much coming from a stranger. Like many, Suicide Silence was one of my first bands, that really opened my eyes to the genre, like them or not, something like this kind of hits you when you think about, what if your father died when you were that age, or what his wife is going through, or his parents. RIP.

Aye man, i know it's a little late but respect to you for being so cool about Mitch's death. How fucked is it that almost every time family & friends of the like see an RIP picture for him they're gonna see a bunch of hate comments celebrating his death? Like the fuck is wrong with people nowadays? I mean i don't like Justin Beiber but if he died tomorrow i wouldn't get all giddy and post it online, I'd pay my condolences and leave the subject alone. So sorry to her about your father too, i know that sucked having to go through
