give burton a break. its pretty typical for a voice to start going out for cleans after screaming and clean singing for even just a half hour of performing. yeah some other vocalists hold up better than him, but he has a fairly unique style of cleans and harsh vocals as well. when i sing Body Hammer or Fear Campaign i find it pretty tough to keep the cleans crisp by the end of each song most of the time, let alone after performing up to 10 songs before that. hes still got it in the studio. id still love to see Fear Factory live at some point knowing i wont get studio accelerate vocals.
Burton dude you gotta take care of your voice. Your clean vocal is one of the reasons why I'm your top fan.

His Vocals here aren't that bad. His voice was cracking before he'd started when he was talking to the crowd, he's never been the greatest live, but usually better than this. Mightve been mildly sick or something.

Very Bad Crisis Actors this band has always been loud when it comes to performing live. Every time I have seen them, they are always the loudest. Wouldn’t say it’s amp clipping but more than likely front of house since they are all using in ear.

Burton's growling still sounds OK, and he's singing hard for the last song in the set, but he can't sing his clean tone choruses anymore. Kind of embarrassing.

well aren't you a little prepubescent name-calling troll.
Truth is, his voice is cracking even when he’s talking and it’s just years upon year of screaming his lungs out with no technique. Say what you want about the state of his voice, but the guy has always given it his all. His clean voice was actually giving around 2006 because he’d just been shouting and screaming in his natural voice since Demanufacture (the only technique he ever used was the death growls on Soul of a New Machine). That shit destroys your voice and it’s amazing it lasted as long as it did. Imagine if he’d stuck to the death growls though? They would’ve just been another overlooked death metal band in the eyes of most and probably broken up after the release of whatever Demanufacture would’ve been without his unique (at the time) vocal style.

I love Burton as a singer but he's been well past his prime as a metal singer for a decade now. I can't wait to hear his new Ascension Of The Watchers record, still love his voice, hope he can still bring it singing less aggressive stuff.

У него раз на раз не приходится. Я его списывал не раз уже с счетов. Потом берёт раз и нормально поёт. Разное состояние физическое. И да, так хрипеть из года в год будет сложнее. Потому как хрип не естественное состояние для голоса - связки уродует голосовые.
он вроде как рычит неправильно, на связках орет именно , отсюда и лайвы страдают, особенно переход на чистый. Когда он целую песню чистым поет, то уже нормально все
