Fun Fact: Fear Factory basically started the clean / harsh vocal trend that is now common in a lot of metal bands. They also pushed the envelope on double bass drumming by lining it up with the guitar riff (i.e. syncopated drumming) to give you that punishing mechanical sound, rather than the straight double bass that was typical of the heavier bands at the time. Super underrated band. Great reaction my dudes!
If you wanna REALLY get pendantic it actually started with bands like Cynic and Dark Millenium, but fear factory were definitely the ones to popularize it
@@joeyuzwa891 What do you mean those 2 bands started it? Cynic only started doing clean / harsh vocal in 93 and Dark Millennium never even had clean vocals
Dino Cazares is imo , the best rhythm guitarist of the 90s through to the late 2000s. Dude is so tight and has such a distinctive tone his riffs paired with any drummer sounds like machine gun fire.
Raymond Herrera is a god on the drums with his double bass, many people thought it was a drum machine....but when they heard him live they were blown away

Industrial metal from the 90s i am surprised i don't see black sabbath the originators of metal and slayer the originators of thrash metal in your playlists yet but i guess your ears are adjusting well for something like slayer anyways enjoy the ride cause in the 80s it was a very intense ride
FF are heavy! No other world necessary :) I don't know, to lazy to check, but have you reacted to Anthrax & Public Enemy - Bring the Noise? Just a thought since you're rappers and likes metal :)

Guys, when I saw Fear Factory live, it was one of the single most roughest mosh pits I've ever been in (including the Slayer/Slipknot show I was at). It wasn't violent or anything, just going through it was a chore. Lol. Their drummer is a freaking machine on the double bass.
I feel like an idiot. I watched your video on Dig by Mudvayne (first I've watched by you) and I suggested FF. I go back to my main page and what's in my recommendations...this video lol.

This is something I've always wondered about. Fear Factory has this "sound", like they're playing around with vocals. It's like cutting a note down by one half octave. I hear it some other songs as well. Just to make a mental whiplash, Spice Girls Wannabe, around the middle part. Does that have a name?
While Fear Factory broke the mould by mixing the clean and harsh vocals, another group pushing the boundaries for you to check out is Archspire with the song Involuntary Doppelganger (official lyric video). Think you'll really appreciate the vocal delivery.
Fell in love with Fear Factory when I was a teenager and have never looked back. Stupid Dino the fat fuck had to mess it up, I hate they aren't together anymore. They are the only band I ever got a tattoo of. I want to slap people who ask, "what does that stand for, Foo Fighters?" Hell no it's for Fear Factory. Burton C. This came out in 95 and it is Industrial Metal. The album before this Soul of a New Machine 1992 is actually a Death Metal album. Fear Factory is my favorite band. Check out the album Mechanize from 2010 it is heavy as fuck. Fear Campaign, Powershifter, Christploitation, Oxidizer. Those songs may cause death lol. This song Replica is the least quality song on the album and short. You should have listened to H-K (Hunter-Killer) or Pisschrist first.
