Love to see this awesome game being played! One thing to remember is in Feast of Crows any infantry unit that is destroyed creates a new corpse pile (up to 4). Also, a little change for the new rendition - hindering terrain automatically ignores charge bonuses!
Feast for crows gets extra corpse piles when someone dies until there's 4 in total.
I think everyone forgets that 🤣

Be careful the stark sworn sword order triggers the same as a number of stark cards winters might and northern ferocity.
As I’ve said before I understand these are recorded in a group. I know future reports will be more streamlined for rules and knowing your armies.
Beautiful Baratheon army. Very Wood Elf-esque with all the browns and yellows!
Critical blow & precision’s triggers don’t stack any more. The additional hits generated are normal hits and not unblockable
Also the precision hits aren't unblockable just don't allow defensive saves
@@jasontipping2179 Crit blow adds a hit. Precision makes the original hit a straight wound instead, so they are unblockable.
Fun video to watch! Just a reminder that Precision and Critical Blow do not stack that way anymore - let’s imagine you have both rules and hit on 3’s and you roll 1,2,3,4,5,6. The 6 deals an automatic wound due to precision, and you would deal 4 hits (the 3, 4, and 5, plus the extra hit due to critical blow.)
Also, the Forest has the Fortified keyword so you should have gotten +1 to your save when Owen's Stag Knights charged into Great Jon's Sworn Swords.
The "Stark Fury" Order also has the same timing as Winter's Might and Northern Ferocity tactics cards, so they cannot be used together.
Disorderly charges only prevent the playing of Tactics cards, you can still use Orders (when the Sworn Swords charged through the Corpse Piles into the Sentinels.)
Don't forget Embolden now affects the unit that has it, so even with the -1 from the Corpse Pile, the Tully Cavaliers would have passed their Panic Test.
Around 45:48 your Sword Swords attack and I think you erroneously hit on 3s instead of 4s. Also note that the extra wounds you deal from Northern Ferocity only apply if your opponent fails their Panic test (he failed after anyway, so it didn't matter.)
When the Tully Cavaliers passed their Panic test you also heal a wound due to Dauntless on the Winterfell Guardian attachment.
Don't forget when you destroy Infantry trays you generate Corpse Piles in this scenario.
The description says it was a 50pt game, but it looks like 40pts still.

Don't forget new terrain rules(reroll was big on the first attack this game). Hindering is lose charge bonus, forests don't have rough. Ect

20:00 If I recall correctly, Precision and Critical kill 1 auto and make you roll 1 save. It doesn't kill 2 anymore.

In this scenario you've forgot to create a new pile of death when a unit is destroyed.

Is it dice rolls or are Baratheons that strong? It’s tough to tell sometimes with war games if a faction is very strong or if the game just flowed that way. Judging by the amount of chortling in the video I’ll assume it’s rolls 😁

I know this battle report is a year or so old when I'm attempting to watch it for the 2nd time however that first attack from the Stag Knights would not of killed 10 models from rolling five 6's, 5 of the models would still of gotten saves. Crit blow would of only awarded 5 extra hits, not 5 extra precision hits. The Corpse pile is also "hindering" so the Stag Knights would not of been allowed a re-roll to fish for 6's anyway. I actually stopped watching this video at 21:43 after the player with the stag knight rolled a 2nd attack, got three 6's and deleted the Starks. Normally I would of had enough faith in your content to keep watching until the end but this game was already a dumpster fire as far as I was concerned. Hope the next one actually uses the rules and doesn't project the Baratheon's in such an OP light.

is there a reason only carboard terrain is used for this game? makes it easier with the trays?
The game is essentially 2d. It doesn’t play well with 3D terrain and a lot of guests prefer not to play with it.
Where did you get the tactics cards? Did you print them yourself and than put sleeves on them?
Would like to know since I want to start this game too and I understood that the current cards in the boxes are outdated…

First time I've watched a SOIAF batrep. Really enjoyed it but what's with the 2d terrain?
While 2D terrain isn't very visually attractive, I can tell you as a long time Warhammer Fantasy player it is way more practical.

There are updated card packs coming out. The app is a great resource, but if you print out the cards or get them when they come out, you can play completely analog.

Everybody forgot to lower the lances, just stabbed the shit out of the flags they were holding.

I love this game but I will let those of you that do battle reports know that I find flat, terrainless tables eye-jarringly boring. After watching all the other miniature games get played there's no real need for the 3-5 terrain features to be bits of flat cardboard.
I know it doesn’t look as good, but I much prefer 2d terrain. It gets the job done, easier to store, and there’s no balancing acts or strange line of sight issues.
They did make 3d terrain for the Kickstarter, if one was really missing it.
Agreed. This has been one of my favourite games for the past couple of years now. But, much prefer having ‘proper’ terrain. So have made trees, corpse piles etc on bases the same size as the flat cardboard pieces and place them on top during the battle. If a unit moves onto the terrain piece then you can remove the 3D piece and just leave the flat cardboard bit there until the unit moves off again.
Honestly, it adds so much to the look of the game.

Okay... Baratheons are a bit too good imo
While this batrep might suggest otherwise, Baratheon are actually the worst faction right now other than Neutral. Starks are also maybe the next worse, but they have a lot more options and play to them.
He did roll a bunch of sixes for that to happen
Unfortunately that shouldn't of happened.
A, he would of never got a re roll as he charged through the corpse pile and
B, the abilities would not stack in this way Unfortunately
