      For the most part yes, they would have about 3-4 crabs on each bait when they are feeding.

    I been waiting for this !!! You gonna cook 'em for us too?? I have run trotlines for crabs, and the collapsible nets, I have even run traps. What is the big draw these days to a chicken leg and a string? Is it simply the "non-equipment" to carry? I'll be 69 this year and saw my first ever crab stew last month. I just never ever thought or heard of it. Is it really sweet from the crab? Alot more gravy?

    • @LouisianaOutdoorsmen
      @LouisianaOutdoorsmen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I boil them at the end of the video just a short clip, but I’ve been crabbing 3-4 times this year already and found they want the chicken and string the most. My nets have not produced much this year. We eat crab and shrimp stew ever once and a while and the crab just adds so much flavor from the meat and fat that cooks into the gravy.

    Good video although the audio was scratchy in a few parts. That's a neat technique you have with using chicken. Went back to your video in Sept 2018 where you used traps for crabs and a casting net for shrimp; good video there as well.
    Many years ago when I traveled through the Baltimore area, restaurants had "she crab" soup; it was fabulous. Here in southwest Florida, you can't find it anywhere. In this video while at your mother's house, you described the vegetables that you were cooking up with the crabs. Maybe you could do a video where you are in your kitchen and show us the actual cooking of soup; you certainly have chef skills, as seen in your cooking videos.
