Thank you for the SUB! Most of the time you only need simple tools. There will be more videos of me creating furniture with DIY tools in the future. Have a nice one, and see you soon :)
Was the pattern by design or did it just end up that way? If you said something about that in the video I missed it. Also, thanks for making a cutting board out of something that just about anyone can get. I think I will give this a try!
The pattern is by design. It it very easy to change aswell (If you want) Aparently pine is actually prefered by some pro chefs because the softer wood is easier on your knives sharp blade. Some people are against using pine because they think Cuttingboards must be built with hardwoods. I strongly dissagre. Where i'm from we have been using pine cuttingboards for generations. Thank you for your nice comment :) I suggest you also watch my latest video when I show in detail how to restore a cuttingboard :) Long answer, but you deserve it :)
It's actually quite common here in Europe and has been for a long time. It is absolutely not the "best wood" to make a cutting board with as it is a rather porous wood compared to, for example, oak or walnut. But if you take care of it and oil it and wax it, it will last a very long time. The most important thing when making one from pine is to make it an end grain cutting board. I will make a video in about a year where I borrow this cutting board back to show how good/bad it has worn in a year of normal use. I see this as a pretty good beginner project for those who want to try making a cutting board for themselves with simple tools. Thank you for your comment!

You can’t use pine in a cutting board it is not food safe even with food safe products on it
But you do put out good content other than that.
