Just a suggestion, why not keep Turbosmooth iterations at 0 but enable Render Iterations and set that to 2 to keep the viewport speed high. For your workstation it may be fine but for others, it may be worth keeping in mind as a viewport efficiency tip. That way, Turbosmooth is really only enabled when you hit render or start interactive renderer.
100% correct. I never do that simply because it never bothered me. When I got into CGI I had a very low cost build and still never had issues, so I never made it a habit to do so.
