As a content creator and video editor, I edit many videos monthly. For my editing, Adobe Premiere Pro is my main video editing application. But recently I was using DaVinci Resolve occasionally to edit my videos & I was surprised by the performance and features Resolve offers.
Today I'll share my opinion and the features I like the most in Resolve over Premiere Pro.

Here are some films that were edited using Adobe Premiere Pro in 2024. Dìdi (弟弟), Will & Harper, FRIDA, Thelma, and Little Death were all edited using Premiere Pro at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.

Hi James, if you had to start from scratch, which one would you start learning? I have the Adobe subscription but I wouldn't mind buying Davinci pro if it would be worth it.
I dont do heavy color grading, if I nedd help with color grading then I will hire someone. But I can not live without Photoshop, Illustrator & After effects. So for me Premiere Pro anytime!
Depends on your needs and goals.
If 2d mition graphics and flashy text titles are important to you, go with Premiere Pro and AE.
If color grading and VFX/compositing is more important, go with DaVinci Resolve.
If you don't care about either, but just want a basic NLE that can go all the way up to the pro level, choose DaVinci Resolve. It is way more intuitive. There are lots of pros, who have used Premiere Pro for decades and tried DaVinci Resolve or other NLEs, who have said that Adobe needs to start all over rewriting Premiere Pro, because it's falling behind on so many levels.

fusion has 20% of motion design capablities😂😂 bro do you have any idea what are you talking about fusion can do almost everything that after effects can and there are things that fusion can do but after effects can't even with plugins AE have some better 2d motion design tools and have very less tools for compositing fusion is the first and oldest compositng and Mograph software which was originally developed by eyon in 1987 and was't even given to anyone just used inhouse then few years later AE and nuke was developed from then 1000's of movies and broadcasts were made in fusion it really powerfull software just people on internet are unaware of and its main traning is done offline mainly and you can import psd and svgs by importing it from upper menu
