Parasites. While absolutely disgusting animals that in some ways can lead to the end of the host, can actually be quite important. However, some parasites, may just be horrific. In the events of Hell Hole, this particular parasite is the latter over the former. Invading the bodies of men in the worst way imaginable, it will exist within, gestating unless that man is threatened in which case they will literally explode. But why exactly does this happen and where did the parasite come from? lets discuss that in todays episode!

Roanoke Gaming Can you please do a video on The Edenians From mortal Kombat
Awesome video!Have you ever heard of Parasite Eve? That would make a GREAT video!
I dont know about you but I have never released a hot object automatically. I usually register shocking pain before I make a conscious decision to throw the hot object.
Not sure if you've already coverd this, but sons of the forest might be interesting. it has a mix between religion and very interesting mutations. If you can guess which one I've named " the chlamydia monster" ill give you a crisp high five.
>Roanoke mentioning the depths of the ocean.
>Not talking about the anglerfish.
Who are you and what you did with Roanoke?
Check him for RE Wesker tentacles, he's been taken over as a host for the butt Octopus 🐙
Clearly it’s an AI programmed to speak with his voice. :V
He's an AI now, you can tell because his voice is deeper
His intense internal hatred for the French made him blind to the his guttural fear of the anglerfish
The xenomorph anglerfish prions got him, he tried to warn us a d we didn't listen. That's why he sounds different and why he didn't talk properly about the three creatures
This movie proves French people can live underground like worms, its a normal reaction when they see a predator of some kind
Does that mean Americans are Groundhogs? As America wouldn't exist without said worms.
This is how they discovered truffles.
Based😂
As a french man, yes.
Every French person is born with the innate urge to burrow into the ground and hide from god
Every time you make us manually breath, an angler fish is born.
Every time he doesn't mention the feet, another angler fish is born. Only closer to Roanoke.
Jokes on him I spent the majority of my youth dealing with panic attacks. So me manually breathing is just a reflex at this point.
Girls hate it when I suddenly send them photographs of parasites
Turns out, no one wants unsolicited tick pics.
Damn, Im early
I love you
noted thanks
@@Waphyxismsame here.
Well done. 👏
Digging out a french person from the ground must be the scariest thing you have covered on this channel.
Other than anglerfish 😂
Like, are these mfs even really scientists?? The right time to quarantine this dude was the second you pull him out of the ground. The second right time WAS when EVERYONE WITNESSED ELDRITCH TENTACLES COMING OUT OF HIS ORIFICES.
Everything that happened is their fault bro, deserved.
They were scientist, the people who wrote them, were not
Got some Prometheus and Covenant "scientists" in this movie is all
Personally I'd say take out the scientist if you find yourself in a monster movie.
Sure it'd be great to study this creature- But if it's killing us more efficiently than we can think of ways to trap it you'll have to settle for an autopsy.
Yeah we'll be losing scientific data by killing it but at least we have something to study... assuming we didn't burn it to ash.
I really felt for this poor french dude, honestly. Made me genuinely sad, poor guy would not even understand what a sandwich was, could not understand mostly anyone at all, died alone and confused.
Bro, you need to cover the Strigoi from the book/tv series The Strain. I’m surprised you haven’t seen it yet as it seems like a show right up your alley.
The entire time I was watching it, I was thinking the same thing.
The strain is such a good book.
Tv show is to long Roanoke would have to watch the whole thing before he'd cover it is my understanding
Whoa how do you make those words blue and contain a link.
@@mementomori771than he could do the Reaper virus from Blade 2 as that was pretty similar
Imagine being the last survivor of the napoleonic wars only to explode from a tentacle monster 200 years in the future.
Q) Why does John smell like the weird now mysteriously dead guy?
A) Stay away from John.
Fossil fuels are _technically_ renewable which is the _worst_ kind of renewable.
It's formed from the breakdown of organics under high temperature and pressure. Most of our oil and gas comes from plankton.
However, this process takes _millions_ of years.
There's a way we could immensely speed up the process, but it would still take thousands of years to replenish.
We really need a montage of the times Roanoke talks about proud vehicles or just mentions it. It's just perfectly golden
YES
We need a car side channel.
Roanoke Sailing would work.
One thing I learned from this channel is the importance of parasites. But my least favorite parasite is still tapeworms
Yeah no thanks, I’d rather have raging allergies than a parasite living inside of me.
Ahhh yes the french angler fish. Le Scare
Instead of a little light, it's a baguette
Don't give god ideas
Cephalopoda is a class in the phylum Mollusca. Octopus are mollusks. That's why they keep calling it a mollusk.
I think it would just be more accurate to call them a cephalopod, though.
Clearly Roanoke just refuses to learn about the ocean
@@SkyeRequiem001 you would think that his hatred of it would make him more willing to learn about it, so that he better understands how to kill the things in it...such as anglerfish.
Reminds me of the dolphin situation.
Dolphins ARE whales.
@@kamikazipidgion Like, you wouldn't point at a cat and say "look, a mammal", because that just wouldn't be as accurate.
so, about the cephalopod/mollusk thing. cephalopods are actually in the phylum mollusca, making them a type of mollusk!
Thank you! I actually went into the comments to say just that! It was bugging me so much throughout what is otherwise an enjoyable episode.
I was looking for this comment right after he said that lol
Umbrella groups get the best of us at times.
@@acuddlyheadcrab yep just like killer whales being dolphins which is part of the whale (cetacean) umbrella.
It's so awful that it makes you start MANUALLY BREATHING.

Oil comes from loads of things like plants and microorganisms
The whole dinosaur misunderstanding came from the term “fossil fuels” and Sinclair oil deciding to play on that misunderstanding with using a dinosaur as a logo at the beginning of last century
As a former Hyundai owner I can confirm.
My timing belt snapped and hit the head gasket, causing a piston to smack the head gasket and warp it.
We fixed it and then exactly 1 year later it happened all over again, I sold that thing to a scrap yard.
The monster is somewhere out here, let's split up...

@@BLOODKINGbro Especially if the tentacle monster is after men, that's a sin against the gods.
"Hey bro, something not so chill just happened".
Parasites in my hell hole, no thanks, that sounds unpleasant
That's a mood
Pretty sure that's "just" tapeworms, right?
I love that in these "monster biology explained" lessons, you, without fail, display savant level knowledge of any and all pickups that happen to be on screen for more than one single frame of film reel. Continue being awesome.
Shelter comes from Old English scyldtruma which means shield troop and references the roman tortoise formation.
Shield is related to shell however as they both derive from forms of Proto Indo European skelH which means to split. Ditto shelf, scale, shale, skull, skill, scalp, etc.
The history of the English language is weird and I love it LOL

Yeah it can be mental. TIL that the cow/beef distinction didn't really happen until the Georgians/Victorians. It's all Walter Scott's fault blaming the Norman invasion in Ivanhoe!
Day 15 of asking Roanoke to face his fears and cover subnautica.
You know how sickness trigger an instinct in us to stay the heck away from said sick individual. These people are lacking that to the max. The moment that worm went in and out of his nose you could not pay be to be in the same building as him without proper ppe
...and a flamethrower.
I looked for a breakdown for Hellhole only two days ago, and now I get one from you! Oh, Roanoke, you always deliver.
@24:57 lmao i didn't expect a boogie cameo
I really am sorry to say this, but cephalopods are a type of mollusk. Mollusk is a phylum and cephalopod is a class.
How the heck do you turn cephalopods into a search link? Clicking on it literally searches for cephalopods on TH-cam.
The one day the angler fish didn’t catch that fade.
Not me sitting here currently waiting for a call back from the dealer about my Hyundai.
The shade you be throwing is real, bro.
This request may be too bizarre Mr. Papa Roanoke, but since Halloween is almost upon us it’d be atomically cool to see you do a video on the trolls in Ernest Scared Stupid and their vulnerability to milk. It’s on brand since you’ve done weird childhood movies from the 90’s before and fun fact: the troll costumes are repurposed clowns from Killer Klowns from Outer Space even!
I second this!!
Yes!
Oil came from organic matter, which decayed under specific circumstances. About 70% of it is assumed to have come from ancient kelp forests. Like coal came from ancient trees. But a large amount of fossil fuels came from fauna, which decayed in peat bogs. The acidity is what's really important though, so it wasn't all peat bogs.
Isn't oil still 99.9% finite though?
@@CassandraYConsidering it takes millions of years it is finite.
@garretth8224 it doesn't take millions of years, it takes thousands. Still a long ass time, we couldn't replenish reserves in any kind of reasonable time frame. But it would happen. We could expedite the process, but we won't because it's stupid dangerous. And it would only cut the time by a few centuries.
Fun fact, China and India will be sitting on the largest oil reserves in around five to ten thousand years if they begin the process now. Also, those countries probably won't exist by then either.
Shit, China might not exist in a decade.
@@CassandraY Yeah, it's only renewable by technicality. By reasonable standards? That shi is one of the LEAST renewable resources in the entire world.
I came for the sci-fi monster explanation but stayed for the French hate.
My favourite thing about your channel is your scientific rambles and how often you go off course with other cool facts.💜
Shoutout to Raycon fr. Keeping my favorite creator paid and delivering great sound.

The choice of hell walker for the background music is distracting, I was sitting here rocking out while a dude was getting wrecked by some worms.

Dude Chevy never needed longterm reliability, because their bodies rotted away after 7-8 years.
THAT SPLIT SECOND OF THE GUY PUKING HIS GUTS OUT LMAO
AI Roanoke, he tried saying he wouldn't use AI earlier. Freudian slip. The angler has him
Yeah that was disgusting
Thats LA Beast i think.
Oil comes from the remains of ancient rainforests from the Carboniferous Period. Oil isn't made from dinosaurs, and oil is definitely a finite resource. We've already used up much of the best oil (light and sweet oil) already. Most crude is heavy/sour.
Honestly the biggest sin with this movie is nobody in production actually learning about oil acquisition
so you see tentacles coming out of the man, and you not only fail to quarantine him, but you enter the room to be alone with him, AND initiate contact with him.
Even one of those things are unforgivable sins. all of them together made it impossible to feel bad for bro when the rectacle came out and got him in the mouth. if i even see some tentacles writhing out of a persons body, they're getting burned on the spot.
Let's let the janitor kiss the carrier in 28 weeks later energy
Except killing the host in this instance would actually make things so much worse because the cephalopod would just burst out at the first sign of a threat, then it's gonna go for someone else...
@@the_furry_inside_your_walls639 you can just use fire.
Roanoke, my brother in Christ, cephalopods ARE mollusks. Mollusks are a large phylum of invertebrates, including the class Cephalopoda.
How can drowning be euphoric?? Think of the pain and discomfort when a mouthful of water goes down your wind pipe now multiply that by like infinity....
@4:05 all due respect Papa Roanoke, my two roommates both own Hyundai's and they're both over 50,000 mi and neither of them have thrown a rod..
Nothing gets me shouting "SKULL YEAH BRUTHERRR" like Roanoke talking about trucks while Doom music plays in the background
I first read the title as 'Body Exploring' and I was like 'excuse me?'
Freaky parasites
Technically not wrong though.
Cephalopods are a class within phylum mollusca, thus making an octopus still a mollusk.

** but... cephalopods _are_ mollusks. To be fair though, I don't call my cat a chordate either.
That’s what life is. One Vile task after another
Can't wait for the day Roanoke drops a video that spends more time talking about old cars in the background than any meaningful subject of the film
its a misconception that oil is from the dinos era oil is much much older from mostly plant life
Cephalopods ARE under the header of Mollusk. That's why they were calling them mollusks
Hey Roanoke there's something I learned a few years back that actually proves a smaller brain actually means increased intelligence rather than a lose in intelligence. This is due to the fact that it allows signals in the brain to be fired off much faster and relieved much faster. It's why Albert Einstein had a smaller brain than the average person. A larger brain in cats actually means they had a lesser ability to problem solve than they do now. For example moat cats learn how to escape their homes via experimentation of weaknesses in door or windows frames or screens. Or they straight up learn how to rip exhaust pipes to A/C units off and escape via the hole in the wall. Our cat is smart enough to figure out how to open doors that can simply be pushed open due to them being improperly framed. She figured this out from testing whether or not she could apply force to the door and open it. Not all of the doors open like this, and she learned which ones do. Thus proving cats have some pretty good problem solving skills.
I love the random car guy factoids, it bristles my dopamine receptors.
Regarding your comment about oil coming from microorganisms:
This is true. While scientists briefly believed that oil and natural gas came from dinosaurs and other complex life, that theory was quickly disproven as there is nowhere near enough biomass from saurids to do so. Even during the mass extinction which ended the dinosaurs there would not be enough flesh to create all the oil, as well as the dead dinosaurs not being covered quickly enough to begin the high pressure geologic process to convert to oil.
However, the ocean that covered much of the world was teeming with simple microscopic life such as plankton and the like. And the sheer mass of dead organisms creating the sort of stinking slime you find at the bottom of lakes was too much to fully decompose, and so significant portions of the stuff would be covered over by tectonic shifts and other geologic processes. These vast blankets of ocean muck became oil and gas.
Similarly, something much like trees evolved before the fungus and other microorganisms we now have which decompose them. Thus, during the carboniforous period, countless trees died and collapsed with no way to break them down all across the earth, and these vast piles of dead tree material was covered over and would become our coal fields.
Years ago I came for science on Necromorphs and a dubious interest in starting with feet, but I stayed for the trashing of Jeeps and the modern automotive industry. Based as always, Roanoke.
While I don’t really care that much about cars, somehow I always find it amusing when Roanoke gets distracted by them in the reviews!
Mostly commenting for the Almighty Algorithm, but genuinely wondering. I work in restaurant kitchens and there's a rule, "don't drop it no matter how hot it is" so we don't waste anything. If the spine is supposed to make the executive order to drop something hot, how is the brain overriding that?
human will
Instinct vs conscious thought.
I'd love to see one of these on the stake land movies. They're surprisingly good for a lower budget series.
Yikes how those things transfer between people in the film is NASTY.
But strangely enough, parasites like the horsehair worm also leave out the rear, so maybe that was why the film went ... that route.
The amount of French roasting had me in stitches, no idea how this man does it.
@5:19 so humans are just warhammer 40k orks. we write something down and then down the line it becomes real. Neat... OH NO oh nooooooo

6:10 the majority of oil is made from microscopic algae called diatoms, which lived millions of years before dinosaurs, and had to be in marine environments; aka, not very renewable as we wish they could be.
also, abiogenesis is much less luck based than you make it out to be, I genuinely recommend a look into the modern understanding of it as the "lightning" and "underwater vents" part is a far less important and usually no longer taught part of abiogenesis
