- In this lesson, we will learn about two common triggers of the subjunctive: the verbs خواستن (to want) and توانستن (to be able, can, could).

the saying in min 5:08 is also found in spanish. We say: "Querer es poder" (querer means want and poder means to be able)

I live in a non-English speaking country(South Korea). I am learning Farsi for my Iranian girlfriend. I am not good at English, so I feel like I am learning two languages at the same time while watching the video😂. I really wish I could post weekly. As much as I love making these videos, but they take a lot of time. The viewers sees only the end result but on my part the lessons go through layers of drafts and editing until, they’re ready to be published. But I am trying to be more productive and dedicate more time to it. Hopefully in future I will have the opportunity to post more often.

Yes absolutely. The word order is not very strict so you can move خيلى and bring it earlier or later.

Are jâ-be-jâ kardan and harakat dâdan synonyms?
In essence they are, but are used in different contexts.
جابه جا كردن
It’s more for moving stuff; for examples to move a box or a sofa:
مرد جعبه را جابه جا كرد.
The man moved the box.
حركت دادن
It’s more used for for vehicles:
راننده ماشين را حركت داد.
The driver moved the car.

Conversation - 1) line 1 - می خواهی is used with سر بزنیم. Is the conjugation correct? Or its English translation should have been - Sahar, Do you want (us) to visit Sara tomorrow night?
Line 4 - last clause of the sentence - ... and we can (then) go together.
Words in the parenthesis to be added.
Is this correct?

چند سال دارى؟
Here سال functions as a noun
چند ساله هستی؟
Here ساله functions as an adjective
چند سالت هست؟
Here سالت act as a noun phrase; it is a combination of “year” and “possessive suffix”
Literally it translate to:
“How many of your years are there?”
I recommend you to use only one form, but know the rest as well.
