About this game:
Puddle Knights is a puzzle game about wits, chivalry and mud. In the game, valiant knights of varying cape lengths assist Ladies and Bishops across mud formations that threaten to dirty their precious hems. As the motto of the Order of the Puddle Knights says: a badly designed sanitation system gives ample opportunity for heroism! - เกม

The number of times he solved a problem and then unsolved it is also infuriatingly high. Ryan playing puzzle games is bad for my health, but I derive an odd sense of enjoyment from watching him graze the solution.
Or the number of times he was about to solve a problem and then reset.

Dignity preserved is the perfect phrase to end a NL puzzle level. i love it.
That's not what she's saying about NL; everyone screaming "You had it RIGHT THERE!!" at their monitors right now is evidence of that.
It was brain destroying watching him have his character in the correct spot for a second or two, only for him to not realize he solved it and then go and get stuck in a corner.
And you forget the best part, doing that exact thing again a few more times.
NL is the best person to play your puzzle game. I can personal guarantee that he will infuriate at least one person so much that they will buy your game just to see if it's really as hard as he makes it seem.
That's the idea. Delightfully devilish!

It's incredible how without fail, he can approach a problem with 2 possible moves, try one option like three times in a row then give up.

I had to stop watching that one after a few videos. I mean just too many "why'd you reset it, next turn it would have been solved" alternating with "why'd you do that, you had it solved a turn ago" with a generous helping of "you tried that multiple times already and it didn't work then" sprinkled in.

Man, I've thought of that pretty much every puzzle game he does. Specifically Ralph watching and going "But you're suffering."
The amount of times in this video where he has the solution he needs on screen but he just doesn't notice and moves the knight is... I've never been so entertained and so frustrated at the same time.
The answer to the first 15 minutes of this video is basically just 'turn your dude around and take the same turns'.

Watching NL play puzzle games is extremely fun and extremely infuriating at the same time.

Both directions work at that point. How can he not see it... I mean, for other puzzle games, I kind of see how he got struck. For this game, at least in the first few levels, it looks super straightforward.

The last puzzle would require you to rip the entirety of the red knight's cape, and then use the red knight to tear the blue knight's cape over the remaining puddle

No no no, clearly it's a bug in the puzzle design, they need to make the knight's capes longer.
It took me like 5 seconds to figure the answer
You can rip the red cape in either position, it just requires more backtracking if you rip it early

NL solves every puzzle 5 times before he realizes it. It's truly a sight to behold.
Literally out of everything the thing that gets me the most is his refusal to try and tear the blue Cape in a level introducing Cape tearing

Damn, another ad for a puzzle game that I am obligated to buy. Curse you NL and you’re procedural solving of puzzles slower than I can imagine them being solved!

@@kylerivera3470 "Solve" is a loose term... He stumbled past the answers for 25 minutes and 43 seconds before finally giving up.
There really needs to be a name for the NL phenomenon of making you want to buy the game so badly just so you can beat the puzzles that NL is always an inch away from figuring out. I feel like every puzzle game I own is from watching you be so close yet so far.
As long as there is a name for the phenomenon where I see 250 angry comments and check the leaderboards and see I'm in 17th place globally
@@Northernlion This phenomenon seems similar to the "armchair expert". People would rather yell at a TV than do anything themselves. Atleast you get some audience engagement out of it, maybe not the kind you want though.

It's amazing to be able to have the solution but then not see it. Love the content as always NL!
Solution is A-B. Tries B-A. Tries A-B by accident in order to get back to trying A-B again, but misses that it's correct. Proceeds to try A-B and A-C and C-A 5 times in a row. Gets back to A-B by smashing the controls. "Ohh!" I really love NL's content but sometimes his brain is as smooth as his dome.

This is the first time I've been tilted by NL playing a puzzle game. "It's harder than it looks" he says...
...but when you can figure out the solution with your eyes, is it really harder than it looks?

On the very last puzzle: Rip off all of red's cape, then rip off blue's cape on the last puddle.
It's unbelievable how many times he can try every single option over and over and over EXCEPT the one he needs to do to proceed. He does this every single puzzle game he plays without fail. Honestly not even mad, just impressed.
NL, I don't mean this in a bad way, because, quite frankly, I love it. Something in your brain is switched to tell you there are obstacles in places they are not.
It makes you play safe in games that you could be a little more lax on, which is wonderful. All fine and dandy.
But it is your end in puzzle games.

This is almost as infuriating as the DemonCrawl video and I absolutely love it.
I never smile more than NL playing a puzzle game. The GREATEST entertainer of a generation. I don't get frustrated at all. Makes my day tbh.
This is probably the most egregious Lion Blind montage I've seen in a while. Like usually I can forgive him because he's recording/streaming. But there's long periods of time where he just quietly stares at the puzzle or has literally solved it and just undoes everything. Or where he just does the same thing repeatedly and gets frustrated. I know this could describe literally any NL puzzle game video, but this one just feels so much worse.
God damnit, I love you NL. You're the only person that can make me scream at my monitor like this and still give you a thumbs up.

The amount of times he literally solves the puzzle but doesnt see it is infuriating. Like he just needs to look at whether the madame can make it to the end, but he just doesnt. I love you my precious egg; never change.
I love how often you're standing in the correct position but the wrong way around and run into the valets back, but never try it from the other side.
I just love how he can make a right move 10 times in a single level and still not see it.
I ve learned how to get entertained by NLs way to solve all puzzles)) You can get joy by watching how man get insane by don't understanding he solved his puzzle couple of times! That's pure enjoyment! I think next step for me would be masochism!

the first time I've ever yelled at an NL video was at 9:05. I made a strangled, gargling sound in my throat that continued unabated for several seconds before finally turning into a small laugh
This was like one of those ads for puzzle apps that say “can you beat my mom’s high score?” and the video is them immediately failing on level 1.

This video broke my brain all the way. I laught, i cried, it made me go all kinds of crazy. I actually began shouting at NL, like he could hear me. The number of times he already solved a problem without noticing... NL, dunno how you do it, but you made my day end very very weird. There goes all my sleep because of all the frustration...

It only took me like three minutes to absolutely lose my marbles, but as a forklift operator, the bit at 9:06 ish triggered me so hard!
This is NL's process for getting through puzzles:
1. Do the same thing over and over again, even though it's clearly not the solution.
2. Randomly find the actual solution, but don't realize it.
3. Repeat back to 1.
A puzzle game! Cant wait to get mad watching you pass the correct answer over and over. Love these videos nevertheless, time for another purchase!

The amount of times he either A) Has the correct answer on screen, then moves the knight so it's not correct or B) Literally just needs to have the knight come the opposite direction is insanity. This is an act, to infuriate people into buying it, it has to be, it's actually genius, he's the best actor ever

I couldn't bear with it, anytime He just walked past the answer I just had to keep pressing the left arrow key to move the video up until he finally gets it. Never before was I so infuriated with his puzzling and I've been following his videos for the last year or so.

I'm here for the entertainment value, but NL is a very intelligent person, but anyone watching him only play puzzle games might think otherwise. I hope this gets across as a simple humoristic observation and not insulting. Like at 9:05 where it's solved, but then he just decides not to do that.
The solution to every single problem you had prior to Tear Away was to either come in from the opposite direction or to take a single step in a direction other than the one you did

Oh man, I love NL trying a puzzler. I was actually looking at this game on Steam and held off, hoping you would play it. Edit: Looks like this is another purchase for me. While I agree that your puzzle solving is sometimes frustrating, it's also such a thrill when it finally clicks into place for you, and that reminds me how much I love puzzle games.
Watching Ryan play puzzle games makes me feel very smart.
