I bought this casette in 1987 and i played it over and over and over. Takes me back to that summer when i was 18 and happily unaware of all the problems life brings in our futures
Honey, we could've bin twins. 😫except sometimes I wonder if I'm the only idiot out here questioning their dumbass life choices...
Just because something is 'cool, edgy and so damn wOkE/ politically correct, doesn't mean it's right for you. Take advice from an almost boomer. I f**cked my entire life and potentially fantastic career up following that kind of bullsh1t dogma.
Don't be a dumbass like me and wreck your own future.
Put your grown up pants on an quit the idealistic/bull💩 propaganda.
I wish to f*** I had. 😪
Same x
We couldn't wait to be adults. If only I knew then what I know now.
Trust, sitting here 12/1/21 listening to it now. Takes me way back to the 80's.

I'm in shock and tears. I cannot believe the news. I've loved your music since I was in my teens and I'm 50 now. Rest In Paradise Christine!! You're a Legend walking them golden highways! ✨️

This album came out in 87/88. I was 19 years old. Didn’t like it at the time, but grew to love it.
Now it just reminds me really great memories of being at med school, meeting my future wife and starting out in life.
Rest in Peace Christine. You and the rest of Fleetwood Mac produced some timeless classics.
tango in the night is an awesome album.. 80's fleetwood was great
That is awesome Stephen Porter! I al met my wife in May of 1988 & started medical school in July & married in December 1988 & this song via my favorite song of all of the 20 or so great Fleetwood Mac songs!😀👍🏽
@@waynefuller6585 That’s great Wayne. I started med School in 86’, met my wife on the first day. Got married in 93’ (bit of a slow mover). Fleeetwood Mac is one of the groups that reminds me of those days 🙂💙
This timeless classic cane out my senior year in high school 87-88, always loved Fleetwood Mac, from listening to my folks albums as a kid growing up, and hearing all those greats from them over the radio waves in the car, Rip Christie McVie, you are truly missed but your music will last a lifetime.
We're about the same age and I agree. I looked down on it at the time, as did most people who knew the Rumors era. No one's saying that anymore.
Stevie's voice is off the charts...ridiculous..what a talent

Thank you my friend. ❤️❤️❤️
Everyone always talks about Stevie Nicks, but I admire John McVie. His melodic bass lines always drive Fleetwood Mac's songs, and he really does a stellar job locking the groove down with Mick Fleetwood. An underrated bass player.
can't you admire both?
Ngl this sounds weird but one of my favourite parts of this music video is right at the start where the bass comes in, and it's just that quick shot of John-- smiling, looking older and wiser, but still on top of the world, like he's reflecting on this incredible career with this incredible band and the incredible music they made together ❤ Idek why, but it really speaks to me lol
@@AspenFireflyGaming that is awesome ♥️ thank you for pointing out that beautiful little moment
@@AspenFireflyGaming Yes, that is nice. Never noticed it before!
LOL. McVie was never underrated. He is a Buddha in the bass player community.
This song is absolutely beautiful. The harmonies are amazing, I never appreciated how brilliant Fleetwood Mac are until I hit my 30’s, thank you for this timeless music.
They all look like they know they dropped in the the Mac zone here...
call it my high intelligence, but ever since i was kid, i always liked 80s and 90s style the best, even tho i was born after 80s. i can't stand this nowday pot and pan beating sounds that kids these days call music .. makes my head hurt
i started liking Modern Talking, CC Catch, Bad Boys Blue and others of same type. i never really liked Elvis or Beetles tho
@@SethiozProject The sixties and seventies were clearly the best. It all started to go sour in the eighties and went downwards from there.

Stevie is such an ethereal, other-worldly beautiful. She seems magical, fairy-like. She'll be forever young in these videos... and so will we, friends. 💖

Hearing this band on the car radio took the doldrums out of school life in the 80s...and the music still rips to this day. RIP dear Christine and thank you! Thank you Fleetwood Mac! ❣

RIP Christine McVie
Well not anymore, went to see them ans She couldn't pull off that note in Dreams
this song is one of the most mystical songs ever existing…
Fleetwood Mac is truly an ensemble band. Younger folks may not realize it was a popular way to set up a group back around the early 70's. The Band, The Eagles, Chicago, and many others played in the same way, trading off lead vocals and compositions. It started in the late 60's with The Band, Bob Dylan's backing band. Part of the often misunderstood "hippie era" which was a rocking good time for all, actually.
Walter Pewen I'm 13. I LOVE this generation of music
I am 13 also and Love this. I like a pretty widespread of music and adore this era.
Fleetwood Mac was huge in there day, everyone bought the Rumours album, it was so awesome.
I'm 17 and my grandmother was a hippie in the 60s (and still is, she's still alive) and we really bond and are very close. I was raised in that mindset and even now I still am. people can see my positive energy and I'm very active in making change happen the peaceful way. (I'm also pacifist and vegetarian and try my best to protect our beautiful planet Earth and be connected to her. I also cannot stand wearing shoes as I feel cut off from the Earth when I have to wear them, and am against anything that alters or pollutes our beautiful bodies, and let myself be my natural self (as in I don't think makeup is right because it covers up your true self, and am against peircings and tattoos as they damage our natural bodies.) in the spring and summer I make headbands of real grass and flower to wear, as I feel more in touch with nature that way, and I always wear my lucky peace sign necklace which I have had for many years, as well as my Heart Chakra Harmony Stone and my Celtic sun pendant as well as some other hand made jewelry I make myself) Many folks have called me a flower child myself for pretty much my whole life. but anyway, my favourite bands are Renaissance/Annie Haslam's Renaissance, The Moody Blues, Obviously Fleetwood Mac (And Stevie Nicks Solo), Yes, Genesis, bands like that. Stevie Nicks and Annie Haslam are my two music heroens and I have had the honour to meet Ms. Haslam on several occasions and she actually knows me now, and hopefully some day I will have the privilege and honour to meet Ms. Nicks too!
So wonderful. We received the same honor of nature and health. I am especially sensitive to all the makeup issues and stuff for women. The hippie is ultimately the path to match us with earth. I am in complete agreement with you on all you said.
Back in 1989, when I was 24 years old, I decided to lay down on the grass under a tree and played this song on my Walkman. I was touring the world by myself with a backpack and I had the Taj Mahal right before my eyes. Unforgettable moment.
I love your comment about the Walkman
Very cool!
I was 19 in 89 and you're the shit!
I was born 1989 and all I can think of is my mom listening to this gem for me to become addicted to it.
I was born in 72 so I wasn't cool with this song until I got a little older, but then I loved it. I was raised on Disco and '80s music. Loved all of it!
This is hands down Stevie's best song. The harmony singing by Christine and Buckingham is perfect. Super nice touch with the acoustic bass guitar, something you don't often see.
Sometimes the tone of the bass enriches the song. John McVie played well.
I'm a huge Beatles and Van Morrison fan, however, when Fleetwood Mac comes on, something happens. They are the keystone of classic rock. "You Can Go Your Own Way" to me is the top 1 classic rock song. It just takes you back to that time like nothing else.
Fuck brown eyes
My favorite also. But they have so many great ones. Especially the ones Stevie sings, like this and "Silver Springs."
My favourite song of theirs. Stevie had so much range in her voice then. Fantastic
the way she could go so high and raspy, gets me everytime
Boomer ass backhanded comment.
Even wilder was she was coked out of her mind for half of it, and Buckingham had to pull a lot of her performances together from different takes.
This has also been my favorite favourite song of theirs since first hearing Tango in the Night at a friend's house back in the summer of '87 (when i was a whole 10 years old..)
Todavía tiene el rango
I'm the only child and I was raised by my mom, who was always a huge Fleetwood Mac fan. I recently moved to another country and I've never been so far from her. Nowaydays I find myself listening to many of their songs, it's weirdly soothing and reminds me of her. I was so pleasantly surprised when I heard this song on AHS. Someone should applaud them for their choice of soundtrack!

80's was amazing, people could experience it and enjoy it. They could see and hear it, it was real and tangible. Gods have come and gone throughout humanities' history, and their relevancy is completely dependent on where you were born.

Terrific.
Ok, let me chime in. Being born in 1976, this was the music I grew up on. Music like this is NOT made anymore. Kids growing up now have not been exposed to this style of music. Who knows, if not for a certain television show, MANY might not have been exposed to this. SO... I submit that no matter the means by which this younger generation gets to experience what we grew up with, I think it is a very good thing. Even we who grew up on these songs had to experience it for a first time. Whether it was because we had a sibling who introduced this music to us back in 1987 or because someone born after the turn of the century happened to hear it on a show, discovery is discovery. We who grew up during the 70s and 80s were indeed lucky, but nobody has a choice when they were born, so if this generation gets to enjoy truly great music, lets all applaud that. After all, ANYONE who loves these older bands and their songs are the cool kids in my humble opinion! Now lets all high-five and rock on!
As being born in 2001, I grew up and am still growing with.... Well you know.. new music. But it's really not hard to find out about old music. Mostly because parents, siblings and people like you talking about, " How AMAZING their generation was!" and how lucky they were to be born at that time. Us "kids" today don't have terrible tastes in music because we don't listen to you're music. It's not our fault. We also have all this technology to find these old bands and stuff so most of us just don't like old music in general. I mean Fleetwood Mac is my favorite band and The Chain is my favorite song. Like someone at school asks me whats my favorite type of music is and I say 70's rock they laugh at me. I'm just saying you're songs from the 70's and 80's aren't THAT great.
btw I'm not trying to be an asshole. I love this stuff, just others my age don't.
No harm done :) That is your take on things and it's 100% legit. I was mainly targeting the close-minded people who have a problem with younger people stating that a show brought them here. Building off of your comment, everyone has their own tastes. And I believe that nostalgia has everything to do with one's own preference and opinions. You see it with those who were born in the 1940s. A LOT will swear that the music from the 1950s was the best because they grew up on Elvis, The Beatles and The Beach Boys. I'm just happy that someone your age knows of music that I grew up on and can enjoy it too. BTW, Thank you for opening up an intelligent discussion. It is a fine example of commenting with respect, which so few people seem to know how to do.
Hear! Hear! Good points, all.
Listen, taste in music is a very personal thing, and never let anyone disparage or denigrate the songs and artists who hit you in that place inside of you, that resonates within you. Never let others tear down your response to it, and love for it. If it speaks to you, listen to what it has to say, and the haters be damned.
Hell, I'm 44 years old, this song came out when I was about the age you are now, and the truth is, there's some music from your generation that speaks to me...not alot, but some. =D

This song is one of my Fleetwood Mac favorites and will always give me happiness, it transports me back in time to a very happy place. Feeling blessed to have grown up with this awesome music. Rest in Peace sweet wonderful Christine.
Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles 1970
I think Christine is absolutely gorgeous in this vid as well!! RIP Christine!!
@@Teenasboy50 Sorry but Evrybuddy is here nice !
@@Teenasboy50 And let's not forget Lindsey as well! Very hot! :-)
De beste muziek ter wereld, niet de liedjes die vandaag de dag waardeloos zijn. Wie is het met mij eens???!!!!!!!
Ik, groeten uit Herentals.
Ich stimme zu, das ist ist die beste Musik die es gibt.👍
The whole World
This is one of those weird songs that makes me feel like I miss a time I wasn’t even born in. Strange.
Exactly!!!!@
I was a teen then..but I feel soooooo much older than that time
Same!
Yesyes!!!
Seriously. I’m 12 and I want to go to the 80’s. Old music is so much better than today’s music.
One of the best songs of all time...
That song is the pinnacle of Fleetwood... 👌✅️
There really isn't a better song to showcase Stevie's voice than this one. Unreal range and power.
best comment
Maybe one of the reasons shes 2 times in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame....
Totally agree, her voice is just sublime.. ❤️
I would say "Landslide" and "Edge of Seventeen" are a couple of others.
Wish they did more songs with a similar vibe to this.
Long live Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie. Two of the most talented and beautiful women of the world.
Stop drooling.
Nancy Wilson too ❤️ ( These Dreams)
Yup!
Wow. Stevie and Christine were beautiful in this one.
If there were 7 wonders of music history the Stevie Nick's voice would have been one of them and I'm glad to of heard it time and time again
Quite agree, Lukas,😀😀
alongside Christine McVie

I get chills listening to this song. It's a magical song and video and her voice is an absolute wonder here. ❤
Just heard this song on American Horror Story tonight. Love it.
Such a Great Band!! So much talent right there!! Stevie is incredible as usual!! The graceful Witchy Woman!!! 😂❤
Seems I'm blown away by this song every time I hear it. Reminded of just how good and timeless it is.
It's the FIVE of them, that chemistry, so rare.
I love Stevie's voice, of course.. But her dancing is just as great. What I love more than anything in this video, is the admiration in Christine's face as she sings and glares down at Stevie. Christine looks so beautiful in this video. Almost angelic. What a graceful, beautiful, loving human being she was.. God bless her soul.
Everything about her is utterly captivating
Rip
Christine was beguiling, indeed.
The memory of Christie McVie will forever remain in our hearts. The 1970s will always be remembered as a magical era.
My mum was my eighth wonder , sadly gained her wings in August 2021 suddenly without any preparedness ... these songs open my memorys , and the vibrations from the lyrics , sooth my soul xx
Is your brother Mike?
I'm very sorry for your loss, Mark. I lost my mother just a few months prior to the release of Tango In The Night. Yet I still think of her when I hear this song. Peace.
Difficult childhood in 1987. I was 10 when this came out. My mom played it all the time
Stevies voice is so comforting to me. This whole album. For some odd reason. Her voice is just bliss to me. I hope u read this. I'm 43 now. Hearing you on this album , I've played this album during the worst times in my life and u removed me from it from start to end
2022 and still madly in love with this timeless masterpiece
Ditto
Fleetwood Mac were always ahead of their time, such as at 01:35 when they are clearly practicing social distancing some 33 years before it came into the mainstream. Well done.

A mystical magical super band simply oozing with supreme talent.
Perfectly Said! My Favorite Band!
I hate when people say, oh a show didn't bring me here. Some people weren't blessed to know different kinds of music like this growing up. My family is black and my grandma loved rock so that's how I know who fleetwood Mac is. Be thankful for what you got given damn.
Amen! Thanks to American Horror Story. I wouldn't have discovered Fleetwood Mac's discography aside from their song, Dreams. I was born in 1994.
My parents didn't introduce me, and I didn't come from a show. There are other ways to find music... I see your point, and I don't intend to come off as rude.
Shut UP CAN U GIVE ME THAT

We, the straight people, are happy to support your song.
1.21, the look Lindsey gives to Stevie’s voice power proves how amazing her vocal talents are!
Dolores Van Cartier! Lindsey can be seen looking at Stevie in several videos w such love in his eyes. There is a more recent video he is standing behind her & he leans forward & looks like he’s trying to smell her hair. I believe they will always be in love w each other, but they just can’t be together. 2 very strong personality’s.
Dolores Van Cartier! go listen tobTina Turner and you will see what is voice
@FREEDOM LIGHTRIDER What's "sales" got to do, with it? The Color of their Skin has something to do with it, as does the fact, every member of Mac is lickable, tickleble (someone whom one would not mind tickling, about the Clavicle and/or Elbow. Mac, also, did not have to deal with Ike Turner, in their early days and whom wanted/wants to tickle Ike, i wonder. I, also, wonder, if Ike was not tickled whilst he was a Tyke (i. e. was ignored, too often, by his folks), which may be a reason he was a pain in the butt, which might have had an effect on Album/Record sales, at some point in Tina's Career. I know what happened....Ike's folks did not pull his finger, enough, which resulted in a build up of Gases, which is why Tina Turner is, now, beyond "Thunderdome." Ike had mad Gas and forgot to warn the Proprietor/Finger Puller. Dome, For Sale. Minor Cosmetic Damage. "UFO" Videos are just Dome fragments, in a low Earth Orbit. "The Passion Of The Ike", indeed.
Stevie Nicks is the eighth wonder. 💜
This entire album was a Lindsey Buckingham solo album. He wrote, produced, and played virtually everything on it. The rest of the band contributed very little. Stevie was in the studio for less than two weeks out of the 20 months it took to make the album.
Christine McVie so-o beautiful. I love watching her move.

she's the next supreme!
I wished but all logic says that next supreme is... let's not spoil.
The6hojrak You should already know that you shouldn't trust your logic with this show :p.
Pandness I will write on your chanel who will become supreme and what may happen in the last episode but don't read it before you've seen it. I really hope I'm wrong.
i want to know your idea too!!! i hope its not madison but im scared she is
Cordelia all the way :-)
I miss this group. . They made my 70s and 80s music awesome. ..
they still pop around now and again, and Stevie herself does a lot of touring Solo. they're not gone for good. they never are, lol. every time they "Call it Quits" they still end up doing a tour together again every so often when they're not working on solo projects.
