Still an admirable performance by Sea Scorpion against those Hero Kirovs, even though they are sooo much cheaper and they were soften up by the floating discs earlier!
While it is impressive, it is actually kind of clunky. It is pretty annoying to have your chopper stop moving horizontally because it is changing altitude.
I'm surprised they did better than the Aegis Cruisers in the other video. I think it's because the Flak deals splash damage to the stacked air units while the Aegis missiles, though deals a lot of damage, only damages one unit even when they're stacked.
Yeah, Aegis is really good against single hard targets and Flak is best against massed fragile targets... Meaning Allied AI sucks vs Allied Air Forces but *LITERALLY* knocks Soviet Air force out os the sky, while Soviet Air force does the opposite. Massed Kirovs is just cheating though, as it combines the Soviet strong air units with the Allies' sheer numbers.
So in the green and veteran versus the helicopters and the floating discs just send experience to the sea scorpions and let the Kirovs face elite sea scorpions.
@@icer1249 they may be Deutschland's "finest" but it kinda suck that they dont have rotational turrets where if they're attacked from behind or side while moving, they're forced to stop and then turn to attack. Plus, only good for tanks while sea scorpions are good for air and infantry
The helicopters are fast but do little damage. Being able to shoot these down first, promoted lots of little flak boats making the discs and zeppelins easier. I reckon that without the helicopters, the little flack boats would not have faired so well.
That's why i placed the Kirovs first, but AI has weird a pathfinding(see Floating Disks in the video) i've tried with 4 or 5 different setups, the one in the video was the best i could do i tried to make all units reach Sea Scorpions at the same time, but again AI does crazy stuff - like attack only 1 Scorpion from them all and all aircraft are gunning for same target and clump together = and result is easy in favor of Sea Scorpions hope i explained well :)
@@GreenElf It would take experimenting, but could you have put Kirovs relatively close to the front, then 20 units back (or whatever) you put the fast aircraft so they all reach at about the same time?
Yes, guys, we all know - sea scorpions are very good against clustered air targets. Thing is, outside of demonstration videos like this, such clusters are rare. In an actual match, being able to eliminate key targets quickly is more important. Hence, Aegis wins out.
Nah they're still good in real scenarios. Cheaper, faster, can engage ground targets if needed. Easier to cover more ground n fastly retreat as needed. Still the better anti air vessel imo vs Aegis
@@sir0herrbatka what? no. 1. it can only attack targets that are right at the shoreline 2. only the AI clusters up units around anything with aoe. Aegis meanwhile can reliably eliminate kirvos, who are actually a threat.
@@Luxai Scorpion is good against dolphins, squids and navy seals. As for Aegis… Hear "Kirov reporting". Make Aegis! Wait 48 seconds to get it on the field. Move it, SLOWLY on to the Kirov path. Suddenly subs! Aegis is slow to escape. Nah man, Sea scorpion costs half the money and time, can easily escape and reposition, can't be easily bypassed by rocketeers or jets, promotes faster and in terms of firepower is identical to flak cannons (but costing half the price).
That multi unit promoted light flicker at those Scorpions is so beautiful.

Each aircraft has an altitude difference. This game is too good especially modern RTS games are rare nowadays and aren't as detailed as this game.
It may be true, but Age of Empires 2 is really the best strategy game of all time 😁

Sad they did not perform well as we expected🥺
Balance issue i believe??

Kirov reporting! (In that distinct RA Russian accented voice)
Sea scorpions are like TDs because they have no rotational turrets. And the way they move is like theyre dancing
but unlike the TD its actually a unit that has some use

weird Ai

I love my boat
Elite Kirovs are too strong
since they have AOE damage you could have sent 10'000 units each and it wouldn't have made a difference.
