Just got my Pharoah Edition from a FLGS and yeah its fantastic. I can see Ra hitting the table a lot.with the easy set up and easy teach. It's a lot of fun. It can get very loud at times 😆 good times. .Great review as always
I love auction games, and this is still my favorite. I love the locked in amounts you can bid and how you are also “buying” bid numbers. Much more relaxed than say, Medici, in which I am sweating trying to figure out what the heck to bid.
@@BoardGameBollocks What's considered the trilogy? Is Amun-Re one of them? I owned it and traded it before I ever played it. Could never find the audience. I regret doing that.
A good auction game with a nice closed economy. I thought you were somehow reviewing the new version coming out. I think the new version does come with player mats, just for the reasons you pointed out. The game can be hard to teach to newbies, the scoring is confusing until you see it (at least once) come together at the end of a game. Player mats would help a lot!
About RA screaming: With the thin wall people have in blocks the weird games are differentiated from sex not by the noise people make but by the moving furniture - but not many people have Crokinole to confuse people about that.
the art do seem kinda lame, so I guess if anyone would like to eventually make a polish version they would need to pimp it up like they did with the "Glory to Rome"
Really love how you review games from all different times. Keep up the honest good work
I fuckin love your editing, your voice and your straight to the point narration. Underrated channel my guy
Cheers mate 👍🏻🙏🏻
That verdict came as a considerable relief.
Thanks for supplying the game. It’s been on or near the table since it arrived and we’re playing it again tonight 👍🏻

Was on the fence for the Gamefound but I think I'll pick it up now.

Not sure which of the trilogy I prefer and I’ve been playing them all a lot over the past couple of weeks.

Medici, RA and Modern Art I believe
Love the honest review, thanks and cheers! From Oz 😁
I see what you’re saying about the art, and I get it. The art style here brings me back to the 90’s, which feels nostalgic to me.

Superb auction game and I also have that original edition. If your 4 year olds drew like that they’ll be doing the Sistine Chapel now 😂
They’ve already drawn on the walls
Backed the new version, been looking for this game for years and always felt it was overpriced. Have you played the dice game?
Not played it or the card game
What happened to the staircase intro??
Moved to a bungalow
@@BoardGameBollocks Exceptional. Look forward to the next one.
Are you going to buy a game you already have?
Hell no
if only it was available to buy
It was on gamefound last week. Might be a late pledge thing.
@@BoardGameBollocks Thanks. I will check languages
Edit- only english for 60$ with shipping which so I will continue to wait for translation
Ra is language independent.
Controversially, I prefer Medici.
