Thanks for the lap, Misha. Good to see you again. I figured out that the engine light was flashing/limp because the engine oil level was quite a bit below optimal... It's something that I usually check after I do after the long journey to the Ring/a few laps, but I totally forgot this time. Due to this, the oil pressure would have been really low around certain corners when you were pushing and then cutting (engine light flashing). I originally thought it maybe was a fuel cut issue, maybe due to engine knock/pre-ignition, so I changed the map settings to lower the boost while you were driving. The temps were good, and the fuel was good, so I had a feeling afterwards that those weren't the issues. After the lap, the car then put up a 'low oil level' alert once I started it up again, which explained things. It's a shame as it's my fault for not checking, and the performance on the day could have been better overall, but a great lap either way! I will work on completely improving the suspension. I was disappointed with myself that the changes I made still weren't good enough this time around... it shows how hard it is to get right. But I am now looking at a whole new setup, which will be a lot more track focused with custom spring rates. I guess it's a constant evolution on the car as I gain more knowledge on things I can do to improve it and then have you test it out! Next time will be a big difference in a positive way with the complete new setup... 3rd times the charm... hopefully! Thanks again.
Oh, so the issue were oil level, damn! I'm glad the car were clever enough to give limp mode instead of grenade the engine. Can't wait to see which suspension you choose next.
That Losing Weight section of the video was a nice addition, great on JS for making Misha open up, its been a while since we've heard about mishas journey and its nice to see how he's started to contextualize his past and present.
@@RDSAlphard since that video i've left a tiny bit of space in my mind to store all the cars acceleration until the bridge and compression to have a little of an eye dyno when big power is stated 🤣
This was the most chill dude ive seen on here. This car is FAST. Acceleration is insane. Only Misha can push a cars supension to the limits than most spirited drivers never would
That was probably one of the most silent lap interactions we've seen on this channel. But with that beautiful background ambience I'm not complaining. Nice lap! :)
That is how I enjoy my 650whp GT-R. No radio just windows down listening to twin turbo boost noises and exhaust tune. I always get praises on how it sounds like a race car 😂
Great car. Great owner. He seemed so nervous when telling Misha about the mods, hoping Misha would approve. What a great guy. Seems like he really looks up to Misha too
Great to hear you speak about your motivations and goals Misha. I’ve been around since you were at 250k and your dedication to your craft and desire to improve upon yourself is inspirational. I expect to see you at LeMans in a few years!
watched too many r35 drag cars..sometime makes me forgot that beast is born from a track, and mean to be track ready car, with some "little" mod, this big beast is slayin the corner...that gtr v6 always bring the nostalgia i've never have, love it
Top driving as always. Owner takes full responsibility and builds an absolute weapon GTR. It sounds superb and there was one sweeping RH corner as Misha was overtaking a white car and it was just flying. Good luck with the further modifications and making the car even better.
I was so in love with Skylines...R32, R33, R34...this GTR was too jarringly different for me to get on board completely. But they've grown on me quite a bit and I appreciate them for what they are and don't judge them for what they aren't. Seriously overbuilt bottom end that can handle tons of power. They are Rippers!
People said the same about the R33 GT-R and then the R34 GT-R as with each model iteration they were getting bigger, heavier and more digitalized when compared to the O.G Godzilla R32 GT-R and competitors such as the RX-7, Evo 6 etc.... It took time, but they eventually grew on the public and are now seen as part of the golden era of JDM. The R35 was seen as too digital and too heavy to be a good successor but by today's standards, its relatively analogue and for perspective, a 09 GT-R like the one above weighs the same as a G87 BMW M2, even with the GT-Rs AWD system and rear wheel steering. The R35 is still writing its strong legacy, even after 17yrs of production.
Really enjoyed this video Misha, I don’t usually comment on the vids but the bloke was such a sound guy, really humble, really down to earth. The car is a monster and sounds unbelievable. Excited for chapter 3!
I could certainly say that this guy is a good listener, not even just good also put so much attention to every Misha's feedback. Protecc him at all cost!
@@dearlove88 Nah. It's a running joke from a previous GTR on the channel where the guy claimed 1000hp but it felt like stock. You can find it on the channel pretty easily

In regards to the losing weight. I know people don't like to talk about it. I was on the same space 2022 until I said I had to start to lose weight, calorie deficit and lift heavy circles. Great run. Car sounds awesome! BC coilovers are good for the street, but if you want to get serious on the track you need to move up to KW Suspension V3 Coilover. They even have an option to adjust ride height inside the car. Once you have the suspension and proper alignment/camber, you can get some sticky tires. Add a roll cage to stiffen up the chassis and give you some extra protection. Fire protection kits are not expensive either. Good time to install if you're going to mount a roll cage. The fun is in the build - Great work so far. You have the best driver to give you proper feedback. I wish I had Misha when I built my time attack miata.

stick with the BC coilovers but just a little bit stiffer spring rate, you might just have it set to a too soft a setting, that car was handling like a roller coaster on rails. next time you take it out you should attach a camera on bumper if allowed.
I love how Misha starts off talking about giving up sweets as he’s brushing chocolate sugar off his hands. 😂😂 You can’t abandon the whipped, congealed and chocotastic food groups! Just run more.
