This is what you get, when you create unstable political environment and competing state provide better incentives. In my home state Kerala, industries are fleeing to neighbouring states cos of unfavourable environment created by communists and labour unions. One of the largest employers, Kitex moved to Andhra. Should I blame Andhra for providing better incentives and growth opportunities for industrialists? No, I won't.

@@akash_adsule That's how competitive world works. Mumbai was fine as long as the NCP Congress government created barriers were in place to not provide infrastructure to Surat. Now when the barriers are coming down, the Mumbai diamond industry is finding its hard to compete because profit drives business and political bickering doesn't work in business. The government role is to provide a level playing field and leave up to business to decide what's better for them.

PM inaugurating every small thing in Gujarat and Navi Mumbai metro had to be opened without inauguration bcos PM and CM were busy in elections rallies of other states. Whether you accept it or not Mumbai's growth is organic and Gujarat's is forced by centre and you saying no politics involved? It's one political party which is helping Gujarat. All of us know centre forced Foxconn to open factory in Gujarat and they ended the deal with Vedanta and first destination was Pune Maharashtra for em. Gujarati diamond merchants moving from Bharat Diamond Bourse Mumbai to Surat Diamond Bourse to their homeland is by force. What a logic? At Least come up with better justification else people will laugh. No one is denying Maharashtra is No 1 state is many things but give credit to others too and let others attract investments on merit.
