Ever since I started watching you, you have boosted my confidence in riding. I got my bike about 2 months ago and have been daily-ing it since I sold my car. Best decision of my life. And riding in the rain wasn’t as bad as I thought as I’m from the same area. Thank you for these videos!
Velocity stacks are good to do as part of an exhaust and ECU flash upgrade. Aprilia Special Parts (Italian company that has a shop online) sells 3D-printed stacks for current and past RSV4's.
@@adobomoto Coincidentally, ImKay just posted about putting velocity stacks on his RSV4... his experience is a little different from mine, though. I'm perceiving the engine as smoother and more torquey in the low and mid-range while he is saying that the stacks are meant to increase the top end horsepower. But he also got a BrenTune at the same time as the stacks, and I am running just the stock ECU. I know Aprilia fuels the low end pretty thin in stock to keep it Euro 5 compliant, so that might be why I am seeing an improvement on the low end in terms of fuel/air ratios being more closely matched.
I think you got it right with the short break lever and long clutch lever. As a daily and recreational street rider for 2+ years, you’re going to want that lever readily available when you need it. (Refrigerator in the middle of the freeway, 100lb dead deer in the middle of the road on the exit of a turn, some ass hole doing 3mph in the middle of a windy 2 lane highway) for reference. Good advice 🤟
@@molarmassz no, but if you have a short level and you go to grab your lever in a panic you may miss it if it’s short, but no breaking power is the same with long or short levers
Turn signals count if they have to be inspected to tag your motorcycle. I normally don't need them to warn anyone behind me, and head on is 50/50 if they even see me and the bike. I always assume I am invisible and do things like sit up and look around to change lanes or tapping the rear brake to make myself more noticeable at stop lights. I honestly use my signals about 20% of the time as most of my riding time is spent accelerating away from traffic or finding open spaces in it. Leave yourself an escape route, and you never really need em. And um, yea. My daughters are almost your age...😆
@@adobomoto I think you said integrated turn signals are illegal in 50 states (I could have heard wrong) but here in Colorado turn signals are not mandatory for operation of the bike (because we got hand signals) so we can leave them or lose them and it don’t make a difference in getting the bike “street legal”.
@@tylerh6789 there isn’t laws for it and bikers use hand signals for both left and right turns. Just saying Colorado does not have turn signal or helmet laws for motorcycles. In a car turn signals are required. There is no fight in court as in a car and you use hand signals they just give you hefty fines straight away but motorcycles don’t get bothered when using hand signals for turns or lane changes because it’s understood and legal. Like I said before turn signals aren’t required on motorcycle in Colorado so having an integrated turn signal is completely legal in COLORADO. I feel you skipped over the part where i said motorcycle and never mentioned cars in the reply in the first place because they were irrelevant to the topic i was talking about.

The De-Cat pipes and remove the stuck turd license holder w/ 7 reflectors, were done on my new bike in the first month. Used a saw on my brand new bike After De-Cat I installed the booster plug to richen air/fuel but a re-flash is better. I check my plugs so I know it's not running lean, but a re-flash is the way to go.
Short clutch lever for sure.. I don't like the lever smacking my fingers when I pull in with 2, and I hate how jerky my arm gets when I used 4. Especially when getting to the speed limit very fast.
Hmmm. I want you to be my Dad because he gave me his motorcycle (BSA disassembled) and you have an Aprilia (assembled). Ok. So, the fender is very functional. Keep it and swap your turn signals out for dual function stalks from Koso which add three way brake lights. Super cool. More cool than illegal delete kits. Get bars and levers that actually fit you. Adjust them to fit your ergos. Don't waste your money on all the other stuff and take a training class (or two or three for the price of an exhaust) instead.
Yeah but it makes your bike slower, heavier, and potentially more fuel inefficient (more weight needs more energy to move). Most inspectors don't really inspect they just do blinkers and say well okay here's your paper. I am a student in environmental/sustainable studies, I would assume that you'd still have less emissions than a car with a catalytic converter. I have not done the math though and I could be 100% wrong. Also motorcycles should not be electric. Why? because people need to hear you. Your bike needs to be loud, which is why if you care about the environment so much and have to have a catalytic inverter. Just get the slip on. The noise may save your life.
"Loud pipes save lives" is a terrible crutch to justify being an obnoxious jerk. This really doesn't help you not die. Spend the exhaust money on a moto training class instead. You will be far better off.
I also like installing leavers guards and frame sliders rounded tips💀. I saw some people go overboard with modifications like installing 100 buttons end up making 2 wheels disco bar.
