    A very brief history of what happened-- our 15 lb 10 year old neutered kitty boy was dx was diabetes about a year ago-- his blood sugar at the vet office was near 600, and he had been drinking and peeing excessively for a couple of weeks when we brought him in-- we managed to control the sugar with twice daily injections for about 8 months-- but after watching your video we started the high protein canned food only, and within a matter of days his blood sugar was consistently withing normal range-- a little over 100-- and we stopped using the insulin entirely. We continue to monitor occasionally, but so far, about 4 months later, normal sugar levels, no other symptoms. We owe you a great debt of gratitude.

      Wow.....I wonder if raw food would help too. My cat at hospital rightnow and vet is thinking Diabetes...Lost tons of weight and I thought he was going to die...semi feral. Emaciated within a week...sugars are running up and down from 260 to 432 today....

      Hannelore Tepper Cats do not get their moisture from drinking but from their food. This is why raw candy wet foods are best.

    I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 3 yrs ago at 71. It made sense to me to lower my carb intake which I did and even went to following the keto diet keeping to about 20 to 30 carbs per day. Diabetes gone as well as 50 lbs! Am still going strong now for 3 years. So when my rescue cat of about 12 yrs old also was diagnosed with diabetes a year ago, I decided to have her eat similarly and since she was a cat and an obligate carnivore it made real sense. She has now been on a high protein canned cat food diet for a year and no diabetes! It is so good to hear of other's success whether cat or human of curing diabetes with diet. I have read of so many fellow humans with diabetes who have changed their diets especially with keto and have also succeeded to do this. Now our cats and dogs are included in the success too! Congratulations with Murray!

      Lady Bug, would you mind sharing the type of protein canned cat food you fed your cat?

    • @ladybug1457
      @ladybug1457 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@kevincancoupon Sure! I did a search on the internet and got the info of the best canned food for diabetic cats. It was Fancy Feast by Purina. It MUST be the original classic pate. They have lots of flavors. Dont use any other Fancy Feasts. No more kibble or and no treats unless they are one ingredient that is protein. I also give her a treat of a tiny amount (about the size of a quarter) of HEAVY cream which has no carb or sugar as a special treat.
      She is eating small meals often during the day (she wouldn't eat more) and at night but that might just be her. At night I put out a whole can and she eats most of it through the night. Her favorite right now is turkey and giblets pate. Before that it was chicken pate. I wish you and your cat the best.

    Fed mine only canned low carb or cooked meat for him, he never got regulated even with the insulin, his range would vary from 300 all the way up to 400. He died of ketones after being diabetic for 4 months at age of 12 years old, had to put him to sleep, very sad day. Some never regulated, just like people some things don't work for everyone, for those this works for that is awesome news!!

    My daughter took our middle age neutered male cat in for a physical on March 1st. They drew blood for routine blood work. His only issue--he was having a BM near the litter box a few times per week. No big deal as it was on a tile floor. The vet called me with the bloodwork results on March 4th. His blood sugar was 457. I found this video and began Dr. Jones protocol at 5pm on March 5th. (I took his dry food away and started giving him only canned Firstmate cat food) I took him to the vet yesterday, March 11th. His blood sugar about a half an hour after eating was 192. The vet instructed me to continue what we are doing and to add two tablespoons of dry food per day. I am using the sample of Firstmate indoor food sample that I was given at the pet store. I will take him back to the vet in a week for a recheck. I hope to avoid having to put him on insulin,...........fingers crossed.

      I took Peanut back to the vet today. For the last week I have been feeding him Firstmate canned and a bit of dry/ and Tiki Cat canned. His blood sugar today was 262. I am going to give him only canned Firstmate this week and see where his blood sugar level is next week.

    Doc, the Lord lead me to find these two videos of yours with Murray. My female cat Sam who’s 11 years old was diagnosed this past April with diabetes. They prescribed exactly what Murray was taking and had me put her on royal canines glycemic kibble. Something in me did not want to give her the insulin. So I just kept her on the new food. About three days ago she wasn’t doing too well so I decided fine, I’m going to have to get her the insulin. I ended up finding these videos and took your advice and immediately started giving her white albacore tuna as it was all I had at the moment. I’ve been giving her the tuna for the last three days and she stopped drinking excessive amounts of water and isn’t urinating in excess! I also bought the nettle leaf tea and will be buying your supplement. My goodness Doc, the Lord truly put you in my path to help Sam. He never ceases to amaze me!! Amen! I’ll check in again in about a week with another update. And I did already get her a high protein kibble which I will be introducing in shortly along with your supplement. Thank you so much Doc! God bless you! 🌷✝️🌷🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

      @xanadu1jw 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You missed part of the points he made in that kibble is dry and cats were not designed to eat dry foods. But adding water to kibble won’t work either as the proteins in it are denatured by over processing. They need meat with its natural moisture content. Mine even eat the non-weight bearing bones in raw chicken like the wings minus the skin but not minus the fat under the skin.

      Be careful with tuna, it has a lot of sodium. The only good tuna is either wild caught, if canned then Safe Catch and Wild Planet no sodium added. Tuna should be a treat not a daily meal. Feline Natural, Ziwi peak, Kona and Weruva are good canned cat foods.

      Fancy feast classic pates are easy to find and low in carbs. Make sure they’re the classic ones! I believe the FF naturals pates are also good.
      Sometimes I boil unseasoned chicken breast and shred up pieces to mix with the pates.
      I don’t know how vets can recommend dry food for diabetes or urinary crystals. Yes kibble is more convenient but it’s junk food, honestly. I need to wean my boy cat off of it before he becomes diabetic like my other kitty. He refuses to eat wet food so it’s going to be a challenge.

      I am feeding my cat with the web most recommended catfood for cat diabetes; Fancy Feast original pate after her diagnosis of diabetes because this cat food has no carbs. There are several varieties so that helps. Turkey pate is my cats favorite right now. For a treat I give her a quarter size drop of heavy cream. There is little or no sugar in heavy cream so it makes a great treat and that much heavy cream does not cause any gastroinestinal upset of any kind. It's has been many months now approaching a year with her success. I too am going strong with the keto diet (4 yrs) and my diabetes. I found a doctor who I can work with too!

      I never started insulin myself, my cat got one shot at the vet and one from me (her glucose level crashed and I had to give her some honey). That sinched it, no more insulin. She immediately stopped the excess water drinking and peeing. I took her to the vet one more time and they tested her and she was good. They want to test her every 6 months or so but told me to keep doing what I was doing.

    I don’t know if my cat had diabetes. She is old and got what I thought was decent food, wet and dry. She was yelling for months, my vet told me she was in great shape. I switched to the food you showed and Sheba too, with added fiber. What a change for the better!! And so fast!!! She is now like a new cat with lots of energy and so so SO happy!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH

    • @justwatching5188
      @justwatching5188 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are lots of benefits in changing to wet food. Sheba would not be good in case there is diabetes as they add sugar to their food(because it is cheap and gives the food a darker more appetizing color). The worst wet food is better than the best dry kibble. However, lots of known cat food companies add wheat and or sugar which is not needed for any cat and bad for diabetigers.

    Awesome stuff, our cat is currently getting 2 shits a day. A couple weeks into her diagnosis we pulled the kibble from her diet and started noticing her glucose number being much lower so we adjusted her insulin to ½ unit twice a day but i now have hope we can get her off the insulin. For new diabetic cat owners, if you can afford it put a freestyle libre on them, especially in the beginning it will let you learn the cats glucose patterns since all you do is scan the device. It helped us immensely because we couldn't get blood from our cat.

    Thank you for sharing this video. My soon to be 15 year old cat was diagnosed with diabetes in March with her blood sugar in the 500s. She was started with 2 units, then 3, and now 3.5. Then at 6:00am
    I woke up to her vomiting and walking very wobbly. I immediately put honey in her mouth and rushed her to the vet. I am terrified to give her insulin anymore. I was seeking alternative methods when I came across your video. I will be buying your supplement and wanted to know what the canned food is called that you’re giving Murray.

      Yvette Jimenez hello Yvette! My Isaiah HAS NO MORE DIABETES! It was not only because of this supplement, but it is a nice bridge. Isaiah was pretty bad, the vet thought he would never get off insulin, which I had to give him twice a day, in addition to checking his sugars. His sugars went into the 600’s!!😳. I am very happy to report that he is totally cured. I changed his diet to NO GRAINS wet food, and I add organic psyllium husk to keep fiber in his diet and keep his stool formed. He is now a very healthy but ornery boy again and feels so much better!! Good luck with your baby. You ABSOLUTELY CAN REVERSE DIABETES! 😊

    A year ago, I brought my 11 yr old fat cat in for whatever reason and they did blood work on him-everything came back within normal range. The vet had me change his food to Fromm brand which is grain/gluten free so I thought it was fairly healthy. He also got grain/gluten free canned food twice a day. Within the last month he started peeing and drinking like crazy and a normally quiet cat started meowing his head off constantly. One day I picked him up and he was so light that I made a vet appt. Blood work came back in the 500's and was told Fromm is not carb free and it had skyrocketed his sugar. They put him on super expensive diabetic kibble plus diabetic wet food as well as giving him 2 units of insulin a day. Within a couple days he's gone back to his normal self, thank goodness. I'm hoping for remission now that he's lost weight and on a better food.

    My 9 years old dog was diagnosed with Diabetes 11 months ago (He was born with a mild Cushing syndrome). He was in a ketoacidosis stage and slowly dying, but vets were able to save him. For the last 10 months, I have given him 8 units of insulin twice a day. After that, he was back to normal, but he gradually lost his vision. He is 80% blind due to cataracts. So we decided to do the cataract surgery.
    The pet ophthalmologist ran some tests, and his Cushing syndrome was out of control. The vet put him on VVV / 30 mg per day. This put his crushing under control. Then, he had one final test before the eye surgery, and his sugar was at 720; the next day, it was at 96. Vets reduced the insulin to 2 units. The eye surgery was placed on hold, and the vets are trying to regulate the sugar and the Cushing. They changed his medication again to 10 mg twice a day for the Cushing and 3 units for the insulin. He looks ok, but he is weak, thin, fragile skin. I’m afraid that he may not be able to get eye surgery or die. Please advise.

    My 11 yo dog suddenly got very thirsty one day and I took her in and they said diabetic ketoacidosis. Basically long story short no ER hospital clinic in NYC would treat her because her age + severity of illness = exorbitant money and they weren’t willing to try if I didn’t have funds up front. I was given insulin by vet and sub Q fluids to take home, I did the very best I could for 3 weeks until she passed away. I am profoundly upset at many things; not finding caring, emotionally intelligent competent care for her, confusion at how she suddenly got this illness which I’m told is common? And the first sign is often DKA? That’s hard to believe unless my dog hid her illness so well. I’m confused and heartbroken. I fed her really well including your multivitamin formulas and other whole food and nutrients. Could it have been hormone imbalances that caused DKA? Pancreatitis? Someone mentioned perhaps she had cushings? If you could possibly make a video on sudden DKA in dogs it would be deeply appreciated. I’ve met a multitude of people in the past 2 weeks who have told me their dogs first sign of diabetes has also been DKA. Thank you so much Dr Jones. Your courageous leap into alternative healing, compassion and truth is deeply appreciated in the face of the current trends in veterinary medicine which I sadly find deeply disheartening.

    Dr. Jones you are such a kind and caring person. I am so happy that Murray is in such great hands. My dog Hunter who is 12 yrs. old has diabetes and I still can not find some type of canned dog food that he will eat. I have tried so many different types of food that were recommended by folks who know about diabetes; but he is very particular when it comes to eating. I did try your supplement but he would not eat his food. He does like people food which is what I am feeding him now, but I need to get him some supplements and I am hoping you will recommend what I should be giving him. He was taking multivitamins for awhile but now he refuses them. The dog food is so expensive and if he ate it that would be great; I end up throwing it out. I want to give him chromium but wanted to check with you to see how much I should give him, he is 32 lbs. and losing weight, he is a cockapoo. I trust all the advice that you give. I have switched Vets since Hunter was diagnosed; I like the new Vet; the only thing is that my perception is that he isn't as knowledgeable about diabetes. I could be wrong and I hope I am because he is a caring Vet. Thank you again for all your help!!!
