Dr. Andrew.. I have come into something interesting that I've just now read about that I think might be important to address at the WEBINAR coming up... What is CBG oil? (Please, thank you...) How is it different from CBD oil? Thanks, Wanda Jones
Ok thanks. I was thinking of trying the wellness brand everyone talks about. I switched from dry food so it's an improvement already. I am doing the special kitty wet food from Wal-Mart currently
It's such a sad thing when our furry babies get stricken with serious illnesses. Thank you Dr. Jones for this valuable information and I pray the best for your little one!
I used to have a cat that had diabetes and had to have shots every day I wish I would have had your help back then bless you for all your help and all you do you are awesome
Doc you have my lifelong support, thank you for actually caring about the people instead of how most vets see their customers as dollar signs. Glad to have subscribed to you back when you had 34k subs.
Ohhhh...this came a few days too late for my cat. He died a few days ago. RIP Barney Thank you, Dr Jones, because I have another cat who is pre-diabetic. I'm trying to help him lose weight by raw feeding. Just wanted to add, feeding kibble causes diabetes in cats, because as obligate carnivores, they cannot metabolize carbohydrates (a large part of kibble -even more expensive "grain-free" kibble). Canned foods also have so much junk in them, and most commercial raw/frozen/freeze-dried diets are made using high-pressure processing, which isn't good, either. A homemade raw diet of primarily muscle & organ meat, bone (ground, or ground eggshell) is best.
@@VeterinarySecrets Hello. Could you please do a tutorial on bird health & ailments. I had a 9 year old pet white Turkey (Goblin) who died earlier this year from some kind of dysentery. My vet wasn't much help, they're predominantly livestock & cat/dogs, they know nothing about large birds. I googled everything I could find, I used adjwain seed tea, boiled nettle water, electrolytes, to no avail. As a last ditch effort, after four days, vet finally conceded to give me some tetra antibiotic powder to go into his water. It was too late, he'd stopped drinking. He died. There's nothing anywhere about birds unless it's in hindi. And can't source the pharmaceuticals here as they're able to. Your help would be very much appreciated. 💖
@@VeterinarySecrets Also, thank you so very much for the coconut oil hair ball remedy! My dogs cough is improving & she's pooping out hair. (ergh, gory details. yes, Ive inspected her doggy do🤨)
I will miss you Murray. I am now watching your old videos because you were one of my favorite cats on YT. You were able to beat diabetes. Too bad in your senior years, you had to deal with a sudden cancerous growth that actually took me by surprise.
Murray is such a big guy. He is a bit bigger than my big guy tuxedo Moonshine. So far no issues with my guy yet but will definitely keep this in mind if I begin to see signs of trouble. I would have never thought of the Nettle tea. I absolutely love that your channel is such a source of new learning and information. Murray is lucky to have such a devoted and intelligent human to hang with. I'm always amazed how animals know to respond to humans who care strongly for them. I once had a really big feral tuxedo show up at my sliding glass door a few days before a major hurricane. I welcomed him inside, ran to the store for a litterbox and food and told him he could stay as long as he wanted. He was perfectly content through the big storm and while the entire neighborhood was flooded. Within two days of the water levels receding he went to the door and loudly let me know he wanted to go outside. He would stop by every few weeks for treats and attention afterwards but never again wanted to hang out overnight. I eventually moved but still have fond memories of Mr. Shadow.
I wish I had known about this years ago, I had two diabetic cats. They were brother and sister, I lost both of them to diabetes. I had to give them shots twice a day for years but I was pretty good at my job taking care of their disease and was able to give them lots more life then their mother, who also got it, but I was too late and had to have her put down due to very low quality of life. I miss them!
My Buddy Lil Sean is almost 11 years old. He’s probably my best friend in this life. Cuddles, licks me, we talk and go on walks together. About a year ago he got diagnosed, i never understood the poisons of dry cat food. I started with tiki cat, he seemed to love it, and still does. But now im onto this glcyco food that he seems to enjoy and gives him lots of nutrients. He walks around crying. My vet recommends. Hard boiled eggs, b12 strips, i give him 2 shots a day as well. I just dont wanna see his quality of life deteriorate in front of my eyes, i want to do what I can do keep lil sean happy and full of life ❤️ again, best tips for my lil furry pal would be very appreciated
My cat Mongo was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 10 (this was 2002). He was on a diet called obesity management(OM) which was at that time thought of as a good diet.... it was full of fiber (carbs). After researching I switched him to a canned food diet: high protein/low carb and his diabetes went into remission... Going forward after Mongo I have always fed my cats only canned food and none of them have become diabetic or got fat -- they are all trim. Going forward from here I would probably feed my next 'batch' of cats homemade or Raw but I'll have to wait till my current kitties are gone, which hopefully won't be for a very long time!
Tammy, which canned food do you use that has high protein content? My past experience with canned food is that they're much lower in protein than dry food. Would love to find some that have high protein.
Murray is such a big wonderful cat! Congrats on getting his diabetes under control! Sharing this with Hippie Chick, her cat "banjo" was diagnosed about 5 months ago and since then getting daily shots because he was having trouble walking
My cat with diabetes, did the high protein diet, all the tips here. He passed on Monday 6/6/22 , almost 14 years old, months of care, he only weighed 4 pounds 5 ounces. He was wasting away , and stopped eating, getting weaker, slept alot. Rest in Peace my Boy, love you🙏💙😥💔🌹Miss you terribly.
This is spot on. If u want sick animals keep feeding them kibble. My dog eats 90% meat & has never needed to see a vet except for neutering. There are so many benefits to a low carb diet for both animals & humans.
Yet again another fantastic informative video, you are spoiling us!!! Keep up the good work, have just done the dog ear clean and the results are amazing, can truly recommend it. Thank you so much.
Hi Doc! I am a new subscriber! I wish I had known you before losing my dog on Nov 5, 2020 to stage 5 lymphoma. It happened so fast. Kona just turned 8 yrs old on Halloween 2020. I spent thousands for tests, diagnostics and (1) session of chemo. Now, with my rat terrier left behind-I am considering taking care of my dog through your holistic approach. I will recommend all my fellow furparents about you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! It’s funny cause my cat looks just like your cat. I had three dogs. We are down to one now. In the beginning, our first dog was very ill when we got him as a puppy all of the veterinarian tips on special diet, etc., etc. Did not help. They constantly suggested I get a biopsy or this that or the other and then our second puppy which we got as a companion to the first one was a healthy bouncy little puppy until her first vaccination she almost died. They tried to tell me it had nothing to do with the vaccine, but that we had a fruit tree in our backyard. We immediately had the two fruit trees pulled out. I began to investigate how to care for these animals properly I learned a lot I cooked all of their food anyway the first dog passed away at the age of 14. We didn’t even think he’d make two years old when we first got him. Our second dog is 14 years old and she is still running around healthy and happy. The third little dog, we adopted him when he was between the age of two and three he just passed away recently at the age of 17 years. I let my husband take my cat to the vet when she was little it was during Covid because only one of us was allowed in and I am older and couldn’t manage the carrier and her I sent my husband. For three weeks prior to the appointment I practice with him exactly what to say because I know how the veterinarians That we had dealt with in the past will bully you into treatments that are harmful. I knew that by law apparently she has to have a rabies shot so I told him no matter what they say. Just get the rabies vaccine and nothing else he came home and told me that the vet had pushed him to get a special Vaccine That she said all cats need. My precious little baby laid around for a week for the first three days, I didn’t think she was gonna make it. She has never been that same spunky crazy little girl. She is now four years old and I finally figured out she’s diabetic. I was beside myself until I see this video and now I know exactly what to do my husband and I almost broke up over him being bullied by a vet into that vaccine that almost killed her thank goodness we’ve come to terms with that. He feels bad and he is a huge animal lover himself and only wanted the best. I can’t thank you enough for what you contribute to society you are a beautiful person. Thank you.
Dr. J it's not nice teasing poor Murray shaking a handful of kibble over his head, then if that's not bad enough, leave it within reach lol ! That's like me with french fries which these fast food joints keep dangling over my head and leaving within arms reach lol. So cruel !!! OH the struggle for me and poor Murray.
I have a diabetic cat too, and he only has protein, no more dry food, no insulin. He only weighs 7 pounds, was 11 pounds. Will get his weight checked next month, he is eating alot now.Drinking water, hoping for the best, he will be 14 in June. Thanks for your tips.
Dr. Jones! Thank you soooo much for this video! Our cat is already improving! Meanwhile, we await our first jar of Ultimate Feline! :) Also, I just have to say, you are sooo funny and it makes my day to watch your vids. Not only do I get great advice for my kitties, but a chuckle to make the day go by better as well! My best to you and your family and pets!
⚠️ He doesn't clarify in the video that there is a difference between stinging nettle and nettle leaf. Both come from the same plant, however, stinging nettle includes both the leaf and the stem, whereas nettle leaf is only the leaf. This is important because the stem contains high amounts of oxalic acid which is not good for cats, so make sure to get NETTLE LEAF. 😊
Thank you so much for this video! My 10 year old cat was diagnosed with diabetes. I do not want him on insulin. So your video is so helpful. What kind of canned food do you feed? I don't know if my cat will drink nettle tea but I can try it. I will order the supplement. Do you give raw organic chicken or cooked chicken breast? I have lot of other cats so should I follow the same routine for them all? I can not isolate my diabetic cat in a separate room as he is attached to my other cats
I really wish you had gotten an answer to your questions. I’ve asked the same thing twice for my dog. I’m not sure where to find good, high protein canned dog food. I also don’t know if diabetic dogs can have pumpkin purée or if a dog can live on chicken alone without any carbs or other nutrients.....I’m desperate to get my dog off insulin if it’s possible. She has started biting and screaming when we give her shots twice a day. She didn’t do that initially. We are EXTREMELY stressed and upset everyday over the shots. I don’t want to put her down but the shots are an absolute nightmare now. I put it off as long as I can when it’s time for the shot because I can’t stand the stress, the biting and the yelping. We are at our wits end over these injections.
I have just purchased your feline supplement and was wondering if you could clarify the doorsage? Is it one scoop. per day or 1 scoop morning an evening? Thanks for great content
My Abyssinian Christian was diagnosed a year ago with diabetes, I switched to wet food immediately even though the vet had him on a “special” diet dry food for years, I thought I was taking good care of him but I didn’t realize this was going to cause diabetes. I didn’t put him on insulin right away, it was a horrific experience for Christian to have the blood taken, but he wasn’t going to allow it again, so I waited until I found a holistic vet who was willing to forgo the bloodwork every 2 weeks and work with me, so I started very conservatively the insulin, Vetsulin was a rollercoaster and I checked his glucose often and reported back to the vet. However he started jerking and shaking his head at times, but the glucose meter didn’t show he was hypoglycemic. So, I switched to Lantus his glucose stayed under 300, but the holistic vet wanted me to up the dose, but I felt like it was stable at 265/280, I couldn’t increase because he started jerking a little again. I’ve stopped all insulin, he’s an Abyssinian and maybe his metabolic rate is higher than other cats but out of all the vets I took him to, no one felt that was an issue, but I think his breed may need more glucose because he’s high strung/intense/hyper. I feel he was really hypoglycemic even though it was showing a “good number” when using Vetsulin in the middle of the rollercoaster numbers that we were experiencing at that time. Now I just add water to his pate and he is leveling his own glucose this way. I hope this isn’t bad to do, but now he’s better, he still pees more, but the reaction he had to the insulin was scary.
So, the $104.18 CDN bag of an 8.5 lbs kibbles that I bought at my vet clinic, isn't what's the best for my diabetic cat ? It is Hill's prescription diet Metabolic that promotes weight loss and maintenance. He's been diagnosed in December 2022 and, has been on insulin since (now at 4 units @6:00am. 3 units @6:00pm). I also find, the glucose tests stressful for my cat (He's kept at the vet office, for 12 hours). One thing I wonder, is an animal that's been anesthetized (3 or 4 years ago) for teeth surgery, developed diabetes ?
My cat James is diagnosed pre diabetes. I haven't started insulin because his pre diabetic I want to save him by monitoring his glucose and monitoring his food. So far I change his diet tremendously more protein for sure like 70 percent of his diet. I basically mix tuna with his wet food more tuna than the wet food. I did check his glucose it was 110 to 139 range for a cat not on insulin that's good.
Hi Dr Jones! I am so happy I found your page. I just ordered your supplements because I am awaiting the return of my cat Baxter (15 yo). He was prescribed a steroid for asthma and it seems like it triggered diabetes in him. We took him in and they confirmed it and sent us home with insulin which didn’t seem to work. We took him back to vet and he is now on a insulin drip to get him regulated because his blood glucose was in the 700’s. They’re not sure if him not responding to the injections I performed was user error or insulin resistance. We are hoping the insulin injections will work this time around when we get him home, and we will be starting him on your supplements, the DM purina food (recommended by vet) and incorporating in the Nettle tea and some short walks. Our goal is remission. I was wondering if you had any other advice or recommendations for food and if it turns out he can’t for some reason successfully receive the insulin injections. (Doc said in rare cases it doesn’t work because of insulin resistance) I know you’re so busy, but if you have a change to answer I’d greatly appreciate the advice in this stressful time.
Dr. Jones, I have two cats that share a watering fountain one which is recently diagnosed as diabetic. If I add the 1/4 cup of Nettle tea to the water will it be safe for the non diabetic cat to also drink the water? Thank you for the other infomation as it will be really helpful going forward in caring for my cat!
Can you do a video on cat sneezing? Like repeatedly for 20 seconds or so. It's scary when he does it But he is healthy and active. No goupy eyes or lethargy. Good appetite. I feed special kitty canned food. He is 10 and a rag doll mixed with long hair. He has started doing this. I did feed dry kibble all his life so he may be adjusting im not sure. Maybe had him on this a month now. Thank you
Thank you! My vet is trying to put my 18 year old Turkish Angora on insulin, over $150 a month, and Kahlua hates needles! I'm going to do this instead. 👍
My 13 year old tabby just got diagnosed i really don't want to put him on the needles and we went to 10% kibble to start and wet pates. How is your kitty doing? I also ordered his supplements.
@@michele4357 Kahlua my diabetic Turk is doing well on his raw diet, made locally at Pet Orlando. It's totally resolved his gastrointestinal issues which plagued him for 11 years! Hello, my cat Archie was recently diagnosed with diabetes and was put on insulin on four units twice a day. On the 5th day, he almost overdosed and it turned out that the dose was too high. After the overdose, it seems as my cat became neuropathy and he seems to be getting worst. The vet keeps telling me he might get better and has switched his dose down to 2 units. But I feel like the damage is done and my cat just isn't the same. He looks very depressed. Is there hope for him?? Please help a broken hearted pet owner...
Hello…I would like to know if I can take off my 12 yr old domestic for insulin shots and just take your supplement? Also, I want to stop the giving him prescription diabetic food (purina DM) and just feed him chicken or animal fat. My Vet has charged us so much money and have pay more for a follow up appointment in 2 weeks…I have been giving him insulin for 3 weeks now so I want to stop and use holistic process. Pls advise.
if you find the answer to your question please let me know, my 12 yr old cat also just diagnosed with insulin and I have been giving it to him for about a month now and I would also like to go the holistic way. For now, I am trying to eliminate all the dry food he loved so much and only give him the DM dry food (like 2 tablespoons every 2 to 3 days) and I was feeding him the wet food that the vet gave me for the diabetes, but when I read the label on it and researching cat food, I am now feeding him TIKI wet cat foods (and the Tiki Styx which he likes). My cat doesn't really like the food yet, but I am working on it and I think I am going to try to feed him the raw food everyone talks about. I know that Whole Foods sells a raw food in a refrigerator and I don't remember the name of it, but I will try that first and then attempt to make my own "raw meat" food for him myself and see how that goes. Good Luck, its a hard road we are on..........
Hi there. So, instead of a bowl of water, you only do the quarter cup of tea for the entire day? Or do you keep refilling with more tea if he drinks it all?
Hi, i have a diabetic cat who gets 2.5 units twice a day. When you changed Murray's food did you ween him off his other food or start the canned food recommended immiately?
Hi Dr.Jones, I am giving my cat, nettle leaf tea after watching your video and his eye allergy is so much better. It’s working better than the anti histamine tablet I have been giving him for months. How long can I give him nettle leaf tea? I made a weak tea with a bowl of water and am giving it to him in place of his regular water and it’s still helping his allergy. Is it ok to give this weak tea instead of water?

Please, if you have not done so yet, take her off the kibble. She may prefer it, but it's not good for her! In my adult life, I've had two cats - one died of kidney failure, the second is a diabetic! I always gave them food that was 'vet-approved'. But even vet-approved kibble contains far too many carbohydrates. I can't tell you how much I regret that I didn't feed both my cats low-carb, high-protein wet food as soon as they entered the house - but I didn't know! I did research for my diabetic old lady and changed her food from one day to the next - you wouldn't believe the change in her! She wouldn't have got sick if I'd fed her that way from the first.
I have same request, so we'll look out for Dr Jones advice.. In his video about Murray's diabetes he uses Krill Oil it helps with fatty liver & is beneficial for reducing abdominal visceral fat; I'm going to try it as my cat has ravenous appetite, he always wants extra & tries to eat the other cats food before i move the dishes.
My 12 year old male orange tabby has diabetes & symptoms of neuropathy, but I'm worried about switching him to wet food since he has a very sensitive stomach. I tried a wet food diet on him when he was younger, and it gave him diarrhea. He's currently eating 1/4 cup 2xs daily, of Crave - low carb/high fiber dry food, but his neuropathy is still getting worse, (he's losing his balance), he naps by his water bowl, and even his eyes are starting to look cloudy. Maybe I'll take a chance and try switching to wet food with the nettle tea.
I have been trying to get your free book, but I’ve had no luck. No email is being sent out/received. Any idea that will help? I live in Creston and I’m tired of the chemicals that are being prescribed for my pets. I want to use natural homeopathic remedies! I learned so much from your videos so far and respect what you do. What can be used on a yeast infection on the skin of a dog?
my cat got diabetes defitinely from the bad dry food. 6 months of insulin shots and change to wet food, he was in remission. high protein diet sadly cant be used for kitties who has kidney issues like mine :(
Are all types of dry food bad? I’m using some dry from a healthy pet food store . Brand Rawz. Also at what point can you stop insulin after switching to camned plus your supplement?

Hello Sir!!! First I wanted to say thank you, your video literally stopped me from a massive panic attack as I was truly weeping. I live alone and one of my two brother & sister cats was just diagnosed with diabetes. I suffer from extreme PTSD & Panic Disorder : so the first 2 days were absolute hell. It was so hard for my to get blood from his ears I felt so terrible...it's been tough but today is the 3rd day and now that I have a better understanding of diabetes, I have calmed down. QUESTION : I am really struggling with finding the right cat food (wet) for my cats.. the vet sent me home with wet food for diabetes (royal canin) and my cat only eats the gravy. The dry food isn't working for him obviously even though I had him on "Farmina / N&D food" So today I made him chicken. I cooked it in a pan, with a little avocado oil & water. He absolutely loved the chicken just like you said your cat does, so I really want to start getting him on a better diet. Please what do you suggest? I am limited on money but have the means for get what's needed and make it work.
I know this is an old post but when I read it it sounded exactly like me !!! I’m the same as you and felt the same today when I got the news about my cat. It’s a shame he didn’t answer you because I have the same questions. Only I have a multiple cat household and making sure he doesn’t eat their dry food is going to be hard. Dr. J what are your thoughts on giving the Greenies brand dental treats to cats which my cat absolutely loves? Is it best to avoid those types of 'kibble-style" treats altogether? Is it possible to give my cat more Wellness Morsels pouches during those meal times to help her gain weight without affecting her diabetes?

I am very thankful and grateful if you could give me an advice and where to buy that supplements. I’m here in UK. Is the product is available here in Uk?
Dr. j , thanks for the very helpful videos showing the pet parents to help their furry kids! Your video on cannel cough was great help to Zaara, my 12 year old golden retriever. I would like to give him the food you recommended . Where can I get the supplement you give to your furry kid?
My 13 1/2 year old cat was diagnosed as diabetic a few weeks ago. He took himself off of dry food himself. Won't even entertain the thought of eating it. I have been cooking up chicken and adding some broth for moisture. He will eat some canned stuff but he tends to grow tired of it too. He has lost a lot of weight and I am looking for answers. I can't bring myself to give him insulin. He is too squirmy and runs away when I have tried to give him the shots. May have to try your supplement deal and see if it works. Canned foods also have so much junk in them, and most commercial raw/frozen/freeze-dried diets are made using high-pressure processing, which isn't good, either. A homemade raw diet of primarily muscle & organ meat, bone (ground, or ground eggshell) is best.
Thank you so much!! You are such a blessing to many people. Have a wonderful weekend.
You’re welcome! Please feel free to share this video so we can reach more people. 🙏🏼
Would love to find some that have high protein.
thank you for the video so much. Can you please tell me what I need to give my cat Suzzie.
Thank you. I'll be getting that tea and look forward to receiving your suppliments

I'm sorry for your loss, I offer my condolences.
@@VeterinarySecrets thank you for the kind words, much appreciated .
I love you!!! Thank you!!!❤
This is spot on.

Thank you, that's great to hear! I am sorry to hear about your loss, I offer my condolences. I hope my videos help you with your dog now.
Thank you.
you have incredible videos; i hope you never ever stop.
We’re working hard to keep this. Please help us grow and reach more people by sharing our videos. 🙏🏼
Great video!! Thank you!!

Dr.
Hi! The box says nettle leaf. Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing...
You're welcome.
Thank you for this information doc Jones⭐ healthy Murray. stay safe doc and Murray .
You’re most welcome!
Dr. Jones, can I use nettle extract instead of the tea itself? If so, how many drops would you recommend?
Thank you

Thank you so much for sharing this information 😊👍
🌻Happy Thanksgiving Dr🌻
Thank you, you too:)
So what's the concentration of the nettle tea? You said to pour a quarter cup? Dilute in water or just straight tea? Thank you.
I was wondering the same thing....???
Murray looks great! Over three years now :)
It really is!
murray trying to steal kibbles lol naughty boy lol thank you for the video dr jones
Right in the middle of the shoot. 😂 you’re welcome! Hope the video was helpful.
(Doc said in rare cases it doesn’t work because of insulin resistance)
I know you’re so busy, but if you have a change to answer I’d greatly appreciate the advice in this stressful time.
How is ur cat now ? I hope he is fine
I got my cat spoiled on fancy feast. He doesn't want his medicated food that much.
What tea to give?
Thank you

Wheres the link to these products?

Hi Dr.Jones, I am giving my cat, nettle leaf tea after watching your video and his eye allergy is so much better. It’s working better than the anti histamine tablet I have been giving him for months. How long can I give him nettle leaf tea? I made a weak tea with a bowl of water and am giving it to him in place of his regular water and it’s still helping his allergy. Is it ok to give this weak tea instead of water?
How do I figure out how much to feed my cat? She is almost 7 months old, and loves her kibble. Prefers it over canned.
The bags of dry Kitty & dry Cat food has a chart on the bags, anyway ours does. Just take a look. Too much dry Cat Food makes a Kitty or Cat Couph up hair balls & get Urinary Track infections, please be careful. Thats what this Vet here said in one of his video's. Just search his Video's.
Our vet recommended us Purina pro plan DM dry food but reading the ingredients it doesn’t seem right, has anyone else had this?
Stay away from Nestle (Purina) products.

I just purchased your supplement. What do you recommend for cats who are hypoglycemic and only eating wet food? Thank you.
Do you have a video on helping cats lose weight? Specifically helping them feel more satisfied?
I have same request, so we'll look out for Dr Jones advice..
In his video about Murray's diabetes he uses Krill Oil it helps with fatty liver & is beneficial for reducing abdominal visceral fat; I'm going to try it as my cat has ravenous appetite, he always wants extra & tries to eat the other cats food before i move the dishes.
Where do we get you supplement?
Hi, it's at www.thecatsupplememt.com
Any suggestions on how to find a local vet that’s holistic like you are?! I’m afraid of taking my cat to mainstream doctors.

Hello Sir!!! First I wanted to say thank you, your video literally stopped me from a massive panic attack as I was truly weeping. I live alone and one of my two brother & sister cats was just diagnosed with diabetes.
I suffer from extreme PTSD & Panic Disorder : so the first 2 days were absolute hell. It was so hard for my to get blood from his ears I felt so terrible...it's been tough but today is the 3rd day and now that I have a better understanding of diabetes, I have calmed down.
QUESTION :
I am really struggling with finding the right cat food (wet) for my cats.. the vet sent me home with wet food for diabetes (royal canin) and my cat only eats the gravy. The dry food isn't working for him obviously even though I had him on "Farmina / N&D food"
So today I made him chicken.
( on me lol ) but I’ll try for him. How have your cats been doing ??

Dr. J what are your thoughts on giving the Greenies brand dental treats to cats which my cat absolutely loves? Is it best to avoid those types of 'kibble-style" treats altogether? Can you suggest a better alternative for feline dental hygiene other than brushing my cat's teeth (I need my fingers intact please).
No offense Patricia but I love you
I just recently purchased you ultimate Feline supplement to give my senior cat. I just found out she is diabetic. Weights 7.47 only and vet says to give her 6 oz of food twice a day at the time of vetsuline (2units) injection. In the meantime, our cat tries to eat our baguette, arepas (Venezuelan corn cakes) paper and even her toys!! Is it possible to give my cat more Wellness Morsels pouches during those meal times to help her gain weight without affecting her diabetes?
What is the name of the dog food for my diabetic maltese,I would like to get him off of insulin and what was the name of the supplement, thank you
Hello, Dr. Jones. How many times a day are you giving meat to your cat ? Is it boiled or fresh? Can I give my cat a beef? Thank you
how long does the transition take? I have had my cat on insulin for 3 weeks now but I don't want it to be long term if I can help it.
Do you have a supplement for a diabetic dog? I have my 11.5 lb dog, 7.5 yrs
Vet suggested Royal Canin 2 oz wet and 3 oz dry royal canin

Dr. j , thanks for the very helpful videos showing the pet parents to help their furry kids! Your video on cannel cough was great help to Zaara, my 12 year old golden retriever. I took her to the vet but they could help her. My other furry kid , Motu got diabetic a year ago . He is getting insulin twice a day and his blood sugar level is getting nearly normal. I would like to give him the food you recommended . Where can I get the supplement you give to your furry kid?
You’re most welcome! You can get the Ultimate Feline supplement here: drjonesnaturalpet.com/
What was the name of the tea???
Nettle leaf
@@ikajessful unfortunately, he passed away about 3 months ago right after he turned 14
@@jeraldbennett9289 Did you give him any insulin?
What about grain free, high protein dry food? One of my cats won’t eat any people food.
Yeah..was wondering that myself.
Still high in carbs sadly.
Maybe not All brands..how could it be if grain free and potatoe free?
There is no shortcuts as dry food is equivalent of u living on a bowl of cereal for life. ALL & ANY Dry food leads to urinary issues & organ failure.
@@Marie-ts8rp My 25 year old cat ate only Royal Canin siamese food for most of his life, once I adopted him. No organ or kidney problems. I switched his food and in a year he got very I'll of infection caused by him disease and had to be put to sleep. 😢 He wouldn't eat people food either.
Can this supplement be given to dogs? How do I purchase?
Hi. No. This is especially formulated for cats. I also made a multivitamin for dogs. You can get the Ultimate Canine Formula here: drjonesnaturalpet.com/supplements.html
What wet cat food do you recommend?
Please make video for cat foods too
I'll keep it in mind, thanks.
Now I'm confused on this. My vet said absolutely nothing other than science diet glucose support. They told me that meat will raise his blood sugar. I don't know what to do about it he has to have insulin twice a day and NO other food
