- Part 2 of the Scratch Build Slot Car for the HRW Showdown Proxy in the Land Barge class. We are adding detail to the body so it looks like a proper 1963 Ford Galaxie NASCAR!
Decals are not difficult if you take your time. I quite enjoyed the process.
Next up to get the body mounted, interior completed and the car tuned!

That looks really good, brother Marty, that gray color gives it more of a vintage look, good job, Bud.👍😊🏎️🏎️🏎️
Thanks 👍
Sharp and classy
Thanks Vin!
Getting closer to finishing. Your land barge is turning out really nice. Very well done!
So close!
I really love the colour of that car, and you did an excellent job on those decals👍top car Marty
Thanks Harry!!
I love that color combo!!
Thanks man! Wished the decals were a little brighter but it will work..
Happy Saturday fellow slotterheads and Marty.. its ready for action. Battleship grey, you're gonna blast the competition away!
lol I am just hoping for middle of the pack lol
@twolinesslotcars eitherway, it's a testament to your willingness to further your pleasure within the hobby.. looks amazing..
Looking good Marty cant wait to see it done and racing cheers
You and me both!
Looks great Marty wow 🤟🤟
Thanks Pat!!
Paint looks awesome!
Thanks Bob!
Good morning, the Master at work, trying to make his deadline.
Good morning Chris! I am close..
Looks great Marty. That’s really the only drawback to printing our own decals. They get completely washed out on anything but a white background.
Yes, they are a touch too transparent.
Nice Marty!
Thanks Peter
I saw this on the livestream. Have you ever taken the next step and used microset followed by an airbrushed topcoat? It's fussy, but it'll look painted on.
I have not… I will need to learn more.. I am not really a modeler..
@@twolinesslotcars I'm eventually going to do a few videos on some techniques I know from the modelling/miniatures space. You can get some really good DIY results with minimal cost and effort.
Decals aside, the paint job looks great on it, what did you use?
I used the new Krylon 5x rattle can..
I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be using a saucer from her 8 place holiday dinner set!
😂😂😂🤫🤫
i thought you said you werent very good at putting decals on? looks like did a good job to me.
Finally figuring it out I think Eric.. practice.. lol
