To me the gear mesh not being good is not an issue I go through every new car front to back and it’s part of the hobby I like tinkering with a new car getting to know it 🏁

Hey Marty I have a question, have you ever connected 2 Carrera powerbase at the same time, one analog and one digital, but only sending power to one at a time. I know the analog base needs to have the polarity reversed so the cars run the same direction as the digital. And the lane changers will not be damaged when having only the analog on. But can I leave the digital base connected but not powered while running analog? And vice versa. Or I physical need to remove one power base before running. Thanks!

Wise words for the newcomers to the hobby to listen to and learn from.

For Christmas, when the kids came I bought 2 cheap " good " sets and a damaged return and put together. It kept the kids away from an over priced N scale Japanese train. It's on the floor at the moment and wife saying it can't stay there. The sets look like ultra cheap Carrera knock-off copies from China Total cost about $ 60 US Seriously, good fun.

Good video Marty, 60 year old kid hear was into HO at 7 or so and collected a couple sets over the years when i started working then life happed as with most of us and slots got lost in many moves in my life then i got cought up in R/C in the 80s boom and collected a small fortune in everything radio control and then everything changed after the big sickness happened i got board the got out my old 1/43 Kyosho dnano in storage and bought more of them and 3 tracks for them that popped up on eBay, then seen they had made 1/43 slots for a couple years and bought some of them thinking the bodies would fit on the RC chassis but they didn't. Then just before Christmas this year i see a video of slot car guy doing a review on a Carrera Go F1 set and they're wireless and 1/43 i snagged one up so i could now use the Kyosho cars. Now just days after Christmas 24 spent a lot for about 130 ft of track😂 i think i have a sickness LoL. Great video and a new sub. I know its overkill buying so much track, i did the same with the Dnano's, but i like having more track for more different track layout configurations when i get board.

If I had only known, I wouldnt have bought digital. Granted it can be switched over to analog. But Ive got all these digital cars.
