Well done Jeff. You should be proud of yourself for struggling on to the end. Your son should be over the moon that you've done it. The things parents will do for their little ones. It's all worth it though. Well done again and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Thanks very much Roy, my son is complaining that the suspension is higher at the back because the old suspension was cut down. I said If you want lower springs at the back he can do it. I don't mind putting normal spring in the front. It's definitely more comfortable at the back, it was like driving a brick before. At least it did pass the MOT. Take care, Jeff
Hi Sue, I have got a bit of patience, but it was rapidly wearing off on that car. Just spent the last two or three days finishing off the shed and all being well back to the old moped tomorrow Thanks for watching. Take care, Jeff and Jenny xx
Jeff A great job done drop links are a pain a Allen key In the end stops it spinning you have done some work on this car I have enjoyed this series you have saved your son pounds In labour charges hi to jenny 😊 Phil in stoke
Thanks very much Phil. Unfortunately the Allen key head was stripped so it was difficult to stop the whole thing turning. The car passed the MOT, but I still have lots of advisories to get through, but at least I'm not in such a rush as last weekend. Thanks for watching. Take care, Jeff
It does look lovely out there Martin. Just think it won't be long before you will be laying under a car in winter. Lol Enjoy the rest of your holiday, you deserve it. Take care, Jeff
Hi Alan, yes that was supposed to be the easy job that I left until the end. How wrong could I be. I don't know if I mentioned it but the car did finally pass the MOT. Take care, Jeff
Hi Dave, thanks for watching and the tip. The car eventually passed the MOT, but I have another drop link to do when I get chance. If I have the same problem again, I will give it a go. Take care, Jeff
Hello Mate....you make me laugh with your " i dont know what ive done im nice to people line"......weall have issues like this when we do cars on the drive or in the road.....makes life hard. You got there though and thats the main thing....plus you probably saved your son hundreds of pounds in garage fees...TOP JOB mate...... Cheers for the vid.
Hi Adam and thanks for watching. That was as I said a nightmare weekend. Luckily I am off for 14 days holiday and have just finished boarding up the shed. So next week we can get back to the Mobylette. I'm not sure what to film next and what order, but hopefully will sort it in the week. Take care, Jeff
Hi Jeff hope you both well, Looks a bit of an ache , then turn to the grinder. I hope you get it fixed soon for the retest, Take care of your selves🔧🚗👍
Hi Shaun and thanks again for watching. It was an absolute pain as all the bolts were seized one way or another. Luckily it did pass the MOT. I am off for a couple of weeks now and have just finished boarding up the shed, so next week we should be back to the Mobylette. Take care, Jeff
Need to treat the flaky rust underneath before it gets worse. I treated myself to a full socket set and impact gun, best thing ever but not for tightening things as can strip the threads... how do I know that 🙄
Hi Terry and thanks for watching. I did try the impact gun, but it still kept spinning. It would have been fine if the Allen key part of the bolt wasn't stripped. The flaky rust will have to be the first thing I tackle from the advisories. The MOT chap said that the sub frame etc is OK at the moment, but he has seen Golf's and Sciroccos deteriorate to a failure in a year. Take care, Jeff
Hi and thanks for watching and no that wasn't fun, but it did pass the MOT. Luckily I have a two week holiday at the moment so will be able to catch up with other things. Take care, Jeff
Hi Matthew, thanks for watching. Yes you are quite right the grinder should have had is guard on, but I had trouble getting it on with it. In the end I think desperation overrode H&S. Lol Take care, Jeff

Hi Jeff. You have got a ton of patience fixing the car. Enjoy your time off. Love to you & Jenny xx

Well done Jeff them drop links are only small but they are a nightmare job to do 👍👍👍👍
Hi Alan, yes that was supposed to be the easy job that I left until the end. How wrong could I be.
I don't know if I mentioned it but the car did finally pass the MOT.

Sometimes the grinders the only way Jeff , well done mate. 👍
Hi Ben, thanks for watching. I don't really like using the grinder, but as you say needs must.
Take care, Jeff
Sometimes I’ve found if I hit the nuts on the drop links with the impact gun it buzzes them off before the threaded bit has a chance to turn.
Hi Dave, thanks for watching and the tip. The car eventually passed the MOT, but I have another drop link to do when I get chance. If I have the same problem again, I will give it a go.

Grinder with no guard, just as bad as using a claw hammer!!!
Hi Matthew, thanks for watching.
