Wow what a great walk through! i have played this a number of times on bga and my physical copy arrived today. i’m excited to now play this solo. curious if you have played furnace and have any opinions on that one as the games are similar in theory
@tabletopforone i've played it solo by simply adding two auto rolls and seeing what kind of score i could get, not very compelling. I did end up playing After Us last night, and i think i played it right, but ended up really stomping the AI, i was able to prevent the King from getting any lvl2 cards, so i'm not sure if missed something. I've found a lot of success myself by simply focusing on always trying to get a lvl2, and ultimately never buying a lvl 1 card.
Looks like an interesting optimisation and resource management game.i'm not certain on how much replayanility if there so it's at least on the wishlist
There isn't a lot of variation for sure. The AI's priority changes between plays, and maybe the tech tiles. On the plus side, it's quick to play and a fun challenge. Thanks for watching!
@@tabletopforone oh okay, so there could be some variability in solo. Quick play is appealing with so many big games out there and taking up my kallax space! Just played Power Plants for the first time (bought for me as a surprise Xmas present) having talked about it after seeing your playthrough of that. Pretty and a bit nasty area control there! Looking forward to playing that solo
@jonathanjoyce2376 oh, that's a great game! Plenty of variability in Power Plants. I've played it a few times multi-player recently and loved it. Glad you enjoyed it!
hi Daniel, yeah, you defenalty have to ! My first plays i found the game quite hard, then, once i was not mistaken any rules and took the ressources from the IA, (wich makes the game way better in my opionion than in multiplayers) you can start to strategize on how to force him not having (as much as you can) those level 2 cards ! I think that the two hardest IA are the one with the Gorrilla on the Left IA position (wich can makes him destroy a lot of basic cards in his deck, and then score a lot faster) and maybe the Chimpanzee aswell (wich makes him a lot of ressources so it is really hard to steal those ressources) Overall i really like this little "puzzly ressources" game in solo. And that's the only way i would play this game again, as i really find it better in solo, and much more tactical, just coz' of that ressources you're stealing from the IA ! I hope you'll enjoy your next plays, the game is smooth and beautiful to look at, so far i really enjoy it, and i'm keeping it ;) Cheers from Belgium ;)
Yeah, the AI is pretty brutal. The designer says it is beatable, but I have yet to beat it. It's still quite fun though, and I will keep trying to beat it. Thank you for watching!

Thank you! Actually, I just received Furnace in the mail the other day. I have yet to play it, but look forward to it.

@mrdarlok that's awesome! Keeping the AI from level 2s is definitely the goal. I haven't done that completely, but been close.

I definitely need to be more careful about making sure I take resources from the AI than from the supply. 😂
