Thanks for the solo play through. It’s always helpful to see how it actually plays and looks like a fun one. I especially appreciate the achievements, as that will keep it interesting for further plays. Adding it to the holiday wishlist!
Was 💯 convinced to purchase due to the cuteness favor. I’m glad there’s good play to go with it! Great play through! Appreciate you showcasing this one from a solo perspective!
Refresh Enchantments is Step 5 of the solo mode, after 1) Refresh Park, 2) Place dragon, 3) Place Meeple, and 4) Cast enchantment. The point is specifically so that the bot has fewer options during that step. That is unique to the solo ruleset.
Refilling artisan dragons and enchantments twice per turn (once after player and again after bot) ramps the difficulty up. My scores playing the correct way are 81, 85, 110 & 92. Whereas refilling twice they were 63, 65 & 72!
With the potions artisan dragons, when you fire them up and swap them with another dragon in town, you don’t claim the reward on the shop space, (12.50ish), only the reward from the fire up of that dragon. Good video and a fun game.
The potion dragons say to swap with another dragon in town. The town refers to the shops, and not the park. There are certain shops that have actions involving the dragons in the park.
You kept flipping over the starter dragons to show their backs, but they also do have the trumpet icon on the front to indicate they are starter cards. While it had no impact on your game, the rules do state that coins should be counted before fancy dragons so that the coins can't be used to fulfill the fancy dragons. Thanks for the playthrough!
The rulebook states that you must discard down to a limit of 7 resources at the end of your turn. I didn’t see this being any different for the solo game.
Your rules explanation are great! I don't have this board game game yet, but surelly I will. Any chances you can do a tutorial about how to explain rules? (+1 sub)

I played it again after I filmed, which is always a good sign. I like it!

That’s what we do!
At 19:45 you didn’t refill the enchantments. I can’t see where that is in the rule book. I thought you refill after every turn including the bot

@@OneStopCoopShop thanks for the clarification 👍

Was there an error? I remember doing that at least most of the time.
@@OneStopCoopShop I had to look this up as well, and it was answered by the developers that yes, the town refers to the shops specifically
The solo mode is great. I played my first 2 player game of it the other week and its much 'meatier' than it looks.
I like the "more that meets the eye" aspect here, as well.
i think we might be at the start of "the age of the 4ft narrow board" lol ark nova... now this! lol great video jason Stay Hexy!
Lord no! I am not getting a bigger camera!

The last minute coin reveal was for dramatic effect on getting over the score threshold. Gotta jazz up the presentation anyway I can.
When firing up hickory to place a dragon in town. Do you pull a dragon from your hand or the pile?
From your hand.
I know the mechanisms are different, but the art and feel are reminiscent of ‘Bargain Quest,’ which my family adores.
I can see that. I enjoy this one far more, I have to say.

Correct. I believe I had done that throughout the playthrough. If I missed one, then 7 is still the rule.
And that’s 7 of each type of goods

Thanks! Thankfully, this is a simple game to explain.
