- We finally made it to our grand opening! for 106 years this building has stood on this site... from it's early days as a Pool Hall and Barber Shop to over 40 years as a General Store... it hadn't been a store in 35 years and now it's back and open for business!

Side Note: Edward VIII became King upon his father's death and did in fact reign from Jan 20, 1936 until his abdication on Dec 11, 1936. He wasn't given a coronation ceremony though.

That would be a great cup to have. It's rare, even more rare to find in Canada. If I had seen it, I too would have bought it. There are some great books about Edward and Wallis if you get a chance to read them. Much more information then any of the documentaries or movies.
@@wowzieee I'm fascinated by the British Monarchy and have read many books on them. My particular favourites are Victoria, Alexandra and Mary. Particularly interesting is Queen Mary who was first betrothed to Prince Albert who died mysteriously not long after the engagement was announced. There was suspicion that Albert might have been Jack the Ripper. After a gracious period of time, she was then engaged to Albert's only surviving brother who became King George V. Another interesting fact about Queen Mary was that she was obsessed with jewels and furnishings. She would invite herself to the homes of friends and if she saw something that she liked she would admire it and not leave until it was gifted to her.
@@wowzieee not really strange too find it Canada. We were and in some sence still are a part of the British Colonies. Take a look at our coins, the Queen is still there to this day.

It makes me smile to see Jakota's joy at meeting viewers and subscribers to his channel. Such a sweet guy. He and Josh are such wonderful young men. Congratulations on the huge successful store opening!! Everything looks amazing! (That black rotary dial wall phone is the exact one that hung in my kitchen when I was in high school....I guess I've aged myself....lots of calls to boyfriends were made on that phone by my sisters and myself. We had an EXTRA long cord so we could sit in the porch and close the door...much to my father's chagrin!! Seeing it brought back lots of good memories :))

Congratulations..I had a few tears when I saw the original owner walk in and play music and thought he must be thrilled then towards the end you spoke with him and more tears at his comments on what you have done. Definitely yes! There's nothing like being able to sit down and get a coffee or snack when shopping at places like that. It can get tiring and make you hungry trying to see everything "in one go". Plus the idea of making it match the style of the store would be fun. Like one of those old fashioned soda shoppes or "diner-esque".

I would like to complain about the quality of this video. It was so blurry! It started at the beginning and got worse when Josh and Jakota showed. With each subsequent visitor it seemed to worsen. Then when your precious family showed up I could hardly see anything, the blurriness was much worse. It caused my eyes to water and eventually the water ran down my cheeks.
Well maybe the fault was mine. The blurriness was caused by my tears of happy. There was such a heart warming feeling from the moment the music and your car started started till the very end. I am so happy for y’all and proud. Thank you for making us a part of your proud moment❣️

Watching this was very emotional for me. I've been rooting you and your family on for a long time. And to see it all come to fruition was awesome. I'm surprised that Hans was not there. I would have loved to be the there. So, you had a day of rest so you need to get into high gear with the next series. lolol But its true for me that watching you and the different series, is a thousand times better then anything that's on TV. I just met Curiosity, Inc. at the Hoarders House and am enjoying the adventure so much, I decided to check out your vids in between updates! I came to this series and have binged on it all afternoon! This is, bar none, the very best of all! However Josh kicking down the wall is a very very close second! Also, I am totally blind, and your descriptions are all so clear, I can all but see what sighted people can see in your videos!
