Kurt Wenger's fingerprints are all over this updated kit. Kurt, first of Avid RC and then his own Schelle Rc, produced that battery brace turnbuckle set up a few years back and in the last year or so, has been at AE working with the team as their set up and product developer. Smart guy, what he does, works well.
Nice walkthrough of the changes, the announcement surprised me too. From my understanding the dirt car is still +0 chassis, I think the wheelbase spec is wrong. The chassis mounted servo is meant to keep the servo position constant in relation to the bellcranks IMO, making the steering more consistent. I don't think it was for stiffness.
Yes as far as I can tell the specs and photos are wrong. The 6.3 will still be 3mm longer than the 6.3D, which is a bit surprising since the top team drivers are preferring the longer carpet chassis for use on dirt. The servo mount I want to see how it moves, that recessed bottom tray bust be to isolate servo twist from affecting the chassis. At least that’s my guess. Cheers.
@@netcruzer I'm looking for a wet car, low grip astro car hence looking at the b6.3d... I have a 6.2 carpet car, but here people are using the short chassis everywhere and is preferred on low grip too
Basically this already has most of the upgrades I’d think about getting for my b6.2. The upgraded shock towers, upgraded plastics, upgraded lower arm stud for increased durability of the plastics, upgraded chassis, etc. bummer bro. I just literally bought the b6.2, like you said in the vid, none of the upgrades are necessary but it definitely would be nice
updated my .2 to .3 dirt specs, and I have to say in the two and half months of racing with the update...definitely a good evolution in the B6. So much more consistent feel in the front end. Im running the +3 chassis, and it's for sure alot more stable. Not quite as easy to rotate in & out of turns, but I don't feel like im chasing after the car. Caught this video a little late, but great nonetheless.
That just looks like a chassis weight under the servo and the blue servo mounts or servo don't look attached to it. The brace over the top is new. Just looking at the top down view, the weight is not shown, its not part of the mount.. 9:15 you are circling the captured hinge pin with the mouse lol
@@netcruzer oh I'm not dissapointed. It's currently being built as we speak. It's just I finally get a race specific buggy, then weeks later a new version.

Great info, I’m not familiar with his work but awesome it’s been added to these new AE models.
This really makes me want to try an Associated. Losi just isn't changing much on their Buggy or Stadium Truck.

Esc/motor wires will interfere with battery brace/cover removal quite abit now!
Ooh great point! Wasn’t thinking about wire routing being in the way. It will be.
Yup you got that right...i didnt even think about it till you said that
2wd for life!
So glad I did not buy the 6.2 last month.
Not much moving the battery tray once the wires are installed....
Yeah that’s going to be an annoying inconvenience with the brace on the battery clamp
I wander if their bringing back the f1 kits?
When they say the body and wing is included, does that also include the front wing?
It should.. but cannot confirm until they ship it out.
I'm torn between the 6.3d and xray xb2 21
Thanks 👍
Still love mye 6D Club racer
same, best package of all time
Holesmaremformsway bars. Always have been like this
Did you add rear sway bars to your B6.2D?
@@netcruzer not the D
I still haven't built my b6.1 yet no time turf buggy lol
Great video....look forward to seeing this....
GREAT VIDEO THANK YOU
great video
Gonna bash it like the max. I mean bash it’s quality
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice! Keep it up bro
Thanks, will do!
2 days after i just bought the b6.2
So upset. I just got the b6.2d
It’s a great car, enjoy it. Many of my racing friends have 6.2 and they are not planning to upgrade to 6.3

Niice
Yes I like the design tweaks.
I hope they release a long wheel base mt
Sounds more like this is for mod and the 6.2 is better for stock.
Sucks you are stuck with that shitty batt hold down now though that was one of the first things to go on my 6.2 losi rubberbands are much easier
