    I assume dad builds and son drives ,is so,and if so I did this for TWO of of my boys ,was at it for almost 10 years ,one liked the oval ,the last one stadium racing ,I had a BALL , by the way all were associated vehicles, the oval was my choice and did i modify that ,I'm 70 now still enjoying watching on this electronic way sitting here on my front porch

    I talked to Dustin Evens when this was first announced and he said the new one is pretty much the same as the old one unless you get the carpet version. What that means to me is if you have a 6.1d there's no point in buying a whole new buggy just for a few small upgrades. Most .2 parts are the same so it's not like .1s will lose parts support and even if it's slightly faster it probably wont matter unless you're at Dustin Even's level anyway. It also means you could probably find some killer deals on used B6.1s. I say buy it new if you don't have one and don't want to buy used or look for a good used .1

      Yes, if you have a good B6.1D then yes, since you don't need to get a new chassis you can upgrade the necessary parts and it will cost you less. If you have a well used B6.1D and like building new kits even if the performance gain will be negligible for mere mortals, then do as I did and buy a new kit ! ;-)

    The rear pistons are supposed to be 1.8 x2. The manual is incorrect because they didn’t correct that change from the .1 manual.

      Also I am pretty new to electric was into nitro for a while but did not like all the problems it requires to keep them up and going

      Those who race it seem to really like it. Has good maintenance access to the rear Diff and other nice AE design. I don’t own it but race against them weekly, just as fast as the other new 2WD buggies.

    Could you answer a couple of questions.
    I am really considering this kit for just regular non racing off road bashing.
    I plan on running a Traxxas Vxl Motor / ESC and putting monster Truck tires on it.
    1. Would a Traxxas Motor ESC work with this?
    2. Would bigger tires work?
    Instead of buying a Traxxas Rustler, I would rather build a stadium truck with a good chassis and suspension out of the box.
    Let me know if this set up works?

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn’t do that to a race spec 2wd buggy. Id suggest a stronger 4WD model and brand for bashing. Tekno is strongest kits IMO.

    • @VestedUTuber
      @VestedUTuber 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't even bother with a 2WD buggy for bashing. Get the truck instead. And get a Hobbywing or Castle Creations brushless system - the Traxxas Velineon is overpriced for what you get and has a nasty tendency to overheat.

    so 3 yrs ago i bought a b6d and everything to build it except battery. i got busy w life and its been in the closet. i finally want to build it an get it running. Is it out of date now like a computer were id be wasting my time? Should I sell it and get a b6d.2? Thankyou for your time

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s still a B6 so it’s not obsolete at all. You can update parts to 6.1 or 6.2 as you break or upgrade things.

    So which should I buy guys?

    • @scotts9376
      @scotts9376 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am new to the 1/10 scale buggy scene so I bought a B6.1DL team kit on sale. I needed everything. The money I saved, I actually invested it into the esc and motor. I haven’t raced it yet because I am going to my local track and practicing. ( Track Time) Personally, a B6.2 isn’t going to make me any faster but maybe your situation is different. I hope this helps.

    Spend all that money for that- why? My Traxxas Bandit is faster and will run circles around that and it just cost $149. If a part breaks every hobby shop has the parts
