Since eating 95%carnivore my grocery bill has decreased tremendously! Instead of throwing away a banana a day and two avocadoes a week, buying snickers bars and potatoes (that end up on the hips) I just grill steak or burgers after defrosting them and have a bit of cheese on the burger or glass of milk with it. No wastage whatsoever. An cost per day is between 10 and 20$ (depending on type of meat and if I have takeout - gyros/kebap etc)

I do find it funny that at least two carnivore doctors, including Dr Baker here, talk about all vegetables tasting bad, and specifically talk about it as though it is just a given that obviously all audience members will agree with and understand the conclusions they base on that fact. It is just not true for me. I have never been a picky eater. I've always had a large appetite. As a kid I didn't have the sweet tooth that many people believe all kids have. Not that I hated sweet foods, but I hated some sweet foods for being overly sweet or maybe for having a bad flavor with the sweetness. I ate sweets when people gave them to me such as at a wedding being given wedding cake (which I did not love) or my dad making his amazing homemade ice-cream and letting me "help" by sitting on the ice-cream churn while he churned for hours. Those were good times. I did love the ice-cream though I never craved it. My mom and my brother both had massive sweet tooth issues. My brother hated veggies and because I was his kid sister if he refused to eat a food or said it was yuck or whatever then I would not want it either. And my mom and I had a huge laugh together when I was an adult and she told me about how she took him aside and told him that if he said anything or made a face and then I refused to eat something that he would have to eat his and mine both and he quit doing it and I started eating everything again. I like veggies, in general. I loved meat and I ate a lot in general of meat and potatoes and veg as a kid. Now at age 51 the only veggies that I know I just never liked are fennel and eggplant. But I have given veggies up because I had a lot of evidence over the last two years that I had quit digesting some of my veg and I had a lot of new autoimmune things going wrong over the last two years, possibly because of my having covid in March of 2020 and/or because of the traumas I suffered later in the year losing my brother and a few months later losing my home in a fire. So now I am trying carnivore and still loving meat just like I did as a kid but not with the potatoes which I gave up years ago for my health and not with the veg either though I kind of wish I could have that. Not sure how people who are clearly brilliant speak that way like they are just sure no one likes the foods they don't like. lol. This is not the same as a faked orgasm. And now that the man who never wanted to deal with his own shit anyway took off several years ago there won't be that in future either. I had a pretty great repertoire in the kitchen and when people rave about what you made, tell you it is better than any other version from anywhere else that is a pretty huge ego boost. Also I did not realize till after I had to give up making bread and brownies and pie crust from scratch how much it was an expression of love to my family doing all that for them. I miss kneading the bread. I don't miss eating the foods that came from that, at least not much. After I gave up gluten it had so much positive effect on me that I very quickly developed the mental muscle to really appreciate the smell of a good bakery and not be tempted to eat anything. I will continue to do this carnivore thing and not allow myself any veg for as long as I can believe that it is the best thing I can be doing for my health and my future. PS Low fat milk is a way to gain fat. And pig farmers use it that way. Why are people who take care of animals so much mor reality based about it than humans are about human health and nutrition?
im an 8 year dialysis atient..died 2x was in coma for a month and was told to go to hospice..i am now carnivore and im feeling the difference..i know my testosterone is off the wall and cant even look at a peach the same..ive given up everything but meats and eggs..does cottage cheese have to be cut out too?..
I suspect the issues with dairy are multifaceted. If you have leaky gut, it may be a food that causes a reaction. Also for milk, lactase is lost in the homogenization process, and its the digestive enzyme naturally found in milk that helps anyone who is lactose intolerant, which is why many report that raw milk causes them no issue.

They have pushed out small farmers with their cheap hormone laced meat. We just had a major hog factory move in a few miles away and the smell has been terrible! I have been eating very low carb and high protein. Using the restroom has been worrisome since I had no drive to go. Just like on Keto. However I feel amazing.

When I switched to keto and then carnivore...people told me that would happen...did not...took about three weeks for my body to adjust then I was right back to a regular, once day, non constipated movement. I did a year on WFPB a few years ago...had two movements a day...bowl filling movements. Did not have near as much strength as I do now...did not feel well. I did feel better than on the SAD. BUT...predominantly meat, few to no veggies has been the best.
Great one! I get that fruits are necessary and important for our diet. But if you live in non fruits areas you have developed other bacteria to digest meat and dairy better. So it has to do a lot with your place of ancestry. I live in Greece, where fruit, roots, and fish are plenty. Meat too. And we eat a lot of dairy. So maybe just check your ancestry and how your grandpas/mas ate, avoid grains and eat whatever left?!?!

When I was first introduced to Carnivory back in '09, the majority of the people who were doing it and advocating were women; about 60% to 70%, in my experience. Just throwing that in. Pretty interesting points. But what about long lived cultures eating a lot of plants. Humans naturally attracted by colorful plants - fruit etc And the top ORAC value items are mostly plant based. Plus, aren't most medicinal compounds derived from plants? eating oranges or vitammin C rich foods increases iron absorption. Also, carbohydrates drive athletic performance.

Your conclusion is based on defined "normal" levels that are not correct. LDL is not directly associated with heart disease. Possibly VLDL is. If you have muscle mass, your are a giant sink for glucose. With an active strength training regimen, your body is managing that just fine. Total T is a poor metric. Free T is the critical metric...and estradiol.
These are the JR videos where I draw the line. Correlation derived outcomes and research are one of the weakest conclusions in science. In fact, they are only good for hypothesis generation. Does meat cause cancer? Yes and No. That does not mean there is a clear answer. Anything of bad quality and big quantity changes homeostasis at cellular levels. We should just skip ahead 10 years to when Baker has either fixed his diet or developed severe health problems from it. He's putting himself at major risk for atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, and diverticulitis to name a few. If he's not eating organ meats or supplementing vitamin C, he'll also get scurvy.

I did a year on WFPB a few years ago...had two movements a day...bowl filling movements. Did not have near as much strength as I do now...did not feel well. I did feel better than on the SAD. BUT...predominantly meat, few to no veggies has been the best.

Great one! I get that fruits are necessary and important for our diet. But if you live in non fruits areas you have developed other bacteria to digest meat and dairy better. So it has to do a lot with your place of ancestry. I live in Greece, where fruit, roots, and fish are plenty. Meat too. And we eat a lot of dairy. So maybe just check your ancestry and how your grandpas/mas ate, avoid grains and eat whatever left?!?!

When I was first introduced to Carnivory back in '09, the majority of the people who were doing it and advocating were women; about 60% to 70%, in my experience. Just throwing that in. These are the JR videos where I draw the line. Correlation derived outcomes and research are one of the weakest conclusions in science. In fact, they are only good for hypothesis generation. Does meat cause cancer? Yes and No. That does not mean there is a clear answer. Anything of bad quality and big quantity changes homeostasis at cellular levels. Even scientific papers are opinions at some depths. You do not have to conclude anything until the outcomes are clear cut.

Luke, my joint pain improved when I went from a high beef and dairy diet to a whole-food plant based diet with some seafood. Go figure.
We should just skip ahead 10 years to when Baker has either fixed his diet or developed severe health problems from it. He's putting himself at major risk for atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, and diverticulitis to name a few. If he's not eating organ meats or supplementing vitamin C, he'll also get scurvy.

In fact the study lays blame, if any, at oxidised polyunsaturated fats from processed plant oils.
