Cassava leaf Stew - enjoy this weekly batch cooking menu for your family

    iNGREDIENTS:
    * 4 lbs skinless goat meat
    * 2 lbs oxtail tail
    * 1 large chopped onion
    * 1/2 tbsp crushed white pepper
    * 1/2 tsp powdered aniseed
    * 1 tbsp salt (adjust to taste)
    * 1/2 tbsp bouillon
    * 2 habanero chilis
    * 2 lbs crushed frozen cassava leaves
    * 2 cups smoked herrings
    * 2 cups smoked fish
    * 1/2 cup palm oil
    * 4 heaping tbsp roasted peanut butter
    * 2 tsp ogiri (fermented sesame seeds)
    * 6 okro fingers chopped
    * 2 cups of water
    Total cooking time 1 hr 45 mins

    I grew up with cassava, sweet potatoes and many other local foods. Grand parents, parents and us children have used cassava in so many ways! Never knew that the leaves were edible until I watched a few of your videos.

My brother-in-law is from Liberia and they have this stew called Palava sauce that I have had on few occasions when his side of the family have come to visit.
